"I missed you t—"

"My ttalgi," he added, cutting Mei Li off.

She immediately turned around and lightly punched his chest. "Yah!” she yelled.

He chuckled with his arms wrapped around her back now that she was facing him. "It's true," he teased, smiling the same smile he had the last time they were up there.

Oh how I miss seeing that. Mei Li sighed.

Despite being annoyed by being called 'ttalgi,’ she couldn't help but smile. "You're not going to hit me again?" he asked with raised eyebrows.

"Pfft, I'll let it go for now," she replied, sticking her tongue out at him, "I missed you too," she finished her last sentence.

His smile grew wider as he pulled her into his chest. She wrapped her arms around him, returning the hug. They stayed that way for a few minutes, perfectly comfortable in their own world. "I especially miss this," Mei Li stated innocently.

"Miss what?" Luhan asked, her hair.

She let go and pointed to his chest, "This."

He laughed at her and pinched her cheeks, "So my girlfriend's a ert?"

"What? That's not what I meant!" she exclaimed, already feeling her cheeks heat up.

He let go of her cheeks and laughed again, "See, you really are a ttalgi. You're blushing already!"

"No I'm not!" she denied, rubbing her cheeks to try and change them to their original colour. "It's because it's cold up here!"

"Let's go sit on the bench then," he suggested, taking her hand in his.

They went to the bench and sat down. Whoa, dejavu. She decided to play mad, turning to the side so that her back was facing him.

"My little ttalgi is mad at me now?" he said in a cute voice.

Mei Li could see him pouting from the corner of her eye, so she looked away, trying her best to put on a poker-face. Why am I so bad at this?

She was still trying to control her expression when she felt herself being swept across the bench by a pair of arms. She was now right beside Luhan, with his chin resting on her shoulder and his arms wrapped around her waist. Aish way to keep a poker-face.

She was startled at his sudden action and he noticed it. "I’m sorry, baby," he cooed.

Dang it, calling me baby is my weak spot. Mei Li knew there was no way she could continue to play mad so she removed his arms from her waist and turned to face him.

"Happy Birthday, oppa," she congratulated him with bright eyes.

He smiled back and just as he was about to lean in to kiss her cheek, she stopped him. "Wait!" she said, fumbling around with her bag.

She took out a box and handed it to him. "Look, I'm sorry I couldn't get you anything better..."

He opened the box, revealing the two mini paintings. One was of him and the other was a deer in a strawberry patch. The second painting was just plain weird, but that was the only thing she could think of. And it was somewhat meaningful, even if it was in a very childish way. 

She couldn't read his expression while he was scanning the paintings, until his eye landed on the photo she had added to his gift. After reading what she wrote on the back of it, he flipped it over and stared at the photo again. That's when Mei Li noticed he was frowning.

"I'm really sorry I couldn't get you anything nicer, oppa, I—"

She was cut off again, but by his lips this time. She opened her eyes in shock only to see his angelic face right in front of her. He pulled away from the kiss and enveloped her in another hug. "I’m sorry,” he whispered softly.

"W-what? What would y-you be sorry about?" She managed to stutter, her arms still in her lap. That was our first actual kiss.

"For being such a bad boyfriend," He finished, sighing.
