Kris shut off the new alarm on his cell phone and easily slipped out of bed. It wasn't the normal cell phone alarm he’d use, but since he wasn’t sharing a room with anyone this time, he took advantage of the opportunity. That's probably the only way I'll wake up without groaning in annoyance. He thought as he grabbed some clothes and headed to the bathroom to shower – already in a better mood.

Today was the day they were going to go sightseeing and finally take a break from all the annoying schedules. They were thankful for being able to go on so many shows and do so many interviews, but emcees and interviewers definitely needed to think of better questions – more unique ones. ‘Who’s your ideal type’ just didn’t cut it.  

After taking a shower, Kris made his way down to the dining room. He was usually the first one there, but surprisingly, Luhan was there already. "Hey, why you up so early?" Kris asked.

"No good morning?" Luhan replied, irritated.

"Oh, good morning grumpy," Kris scoffed.

Luhan rolled his eyes and went back to eating.

Really, what is with you these days. Kris scowled.

Soon, both of them finished their plates and tension filled the air. Luhan was playing around with his phone, pretending to text just so he wouldn't have to talk to Kris. But at that point, Kris didn't care if he wanted to or not.

"Luhan,” Kris started. "You've got to lose the bad attitude. What happened to you lately? Are you like this because of Mei Li? When you're the one who broke up with her? Get a grip."

Luhan didn't answer, nod, or do anything, which made Kris even more annoyed. "Yah!" he shouted at him.

Luhan took out the earphones from his ear. "Did you say something?"

Oh, he was listening to music this whole time? "Never mind,” Kris grumbled.

Luhan shrugged and put them back in his ears, scrolling up and down his phone. Kris scoffed at his behaviour, on the breaking point of screaming at him.

"You don't deserve her,” he mumbled aloud.He got up from his seat and decided to go upstairs to wake the others. He couldn't take being alone with Luhan at that moment.

Luhan could tell Kris was annoyed at him, but he could care less. Like you deserve her. He pulled the earphones out of his ears and put his phone back in his pocket. He had put the music on mute and pretended to be preoccupied. In reality, he heard every word Kris said. What happened to me lately? Oh nothing, just found out that my girlfriend likes you and not me. Am I like this because of Mei Li? No, because of the both of you. Get a grip? I bet you really wanted to say 'thank you so much.’

Just then, Mei Li walked in.

Why's she up so early? I woke up extra early just so there wasn't a possibility I'd be alone with her at any time. Luhan groaned.

"Good morning oppa," she said.

Luhan noticed that her voice wasn’t as cheerful as usual.

He took out his phone and pretended to be busy again, typing and erasing texts. She left the seat next to him empty and sat in the one after that.

Keeping your distance now, huh? Luhan noted.

She started placing a bunch of food on her plate, more than Luhan had eaten. Haha, so this is how you've been gaining weight I see.

***flashback***

Luhan piggybacked Mei Li all the way down to the third floor where the party was at. So this is what I get for preparing such a sweet event for you, haha.

You better be tired now. Hmmph, making me walk up all those stairs. Mei Li thought, smirking secretly. “You can put me down now,” she said as they reached the door.

He did as she instructed, then straightened his clothes out. He rubbed his shoulder, complaining and feigning hurt. “Yah, in the time I haven’t seen you, you’ve been sitting at home eating all day, huh?” he teased.

“Oppa!” She huffed and pouted, crossing her arms.

She's even cute when she'd mad, haha. Luhan laughed and pinched Mei Li’s right cheek. “Aww, don’t be embarrassed about it.”

Mei Li felt blood rush to her cheeks since he was probably right. I’ve been eating more in the months that I haven’t seen Luhan, since we haven’t been able to go out. And, I don’t really have many other friends, so I’ve been cooped up at home for a long time.

She didn’t punch him like usually since she believed what he said was true. So she just sighed and unfolded her arm
