“Noona, you need to get up, it’s almost eight already.” You woke up to the voice of your younger brother Chanyeol.
“Hmm?” You rubbed your eyes groggily before stretching out your limbs.
“I said, it’s almost eight already!” Your eyes widened in shock.
“WHAT?!” Jumping out of bed you sprinted towards your closet and grabbed a random outfit. “Why didn’t you come get me earlier Channie?!” Running towards the bathroom you hear Chanyeol groan in annoyance.
“I did but you didn’t hear me till just now!” You rolled your eyes and closed the bathroom door quickly to get ready. The tap started to run and you brushed your teeth like a mad woman. You spat out the water and yelled loud enough for Chanyeol to hear you from outside.
“I’m almost done; go get your shoes on!”
“But I didn’t have breakfast yet!” Chanyeol was standing outside the bathroom door the entire time.
“Yah! Park Chan Yeol! Can’t you make your own breakfast?! You’re fourteen now!” You tied your long black hair up into a messy bun and wore your white glasses as you spoke, putting on your contacts would be much too time consuming.
“I know but you know how appa is, he never lets me near the stove after what happened last time.” The memory of Chanyeol almost burning the house down flashed past your mind, causing you to shiver. You opened up the doorknob quickly and shook your head at your younger brother.
“I’ll be late for class if I make you food now, doesn’t your school sell breakfast?” Chanyeol pouted and nodded his head.
“Yeah, but it’s gross.” The anger you had subsided immediately, your deep voiced and elf eared brother is absolutely adorable when he pouts.
“Sorry Channie, my alarm clock didn’t go off today. Here’s ten dollars, I’ll make you something awesome tomorrow okay?” Chanyeol’s eyes brighten and took the bills from your hands.
“Okay, don’t forget tomorrow noona.” You smiled and lifted your hand up with your pinky out.
“I won’t.” Chanyeol hooked his pinky around yours then pressed your thumbs together.
“Good.”
Grabbing your bag you threw on your winter coat and slipped into a pair of gray pleather boots; taking a step outside, you waited for Chanyeol to come out before locking the door. Even though Chanyeol is a teenager now, he still has a habit of waiting for you before walking to school. It’s something he has gotten use to with a sister who’s older by seven years. Your parents worked early in the mornings leaving you to make breakfast and take Chanyeol to school all the time. You didn’t mind though, you love your brother.
“Let’s go!” Chanyeol grabbed your arm and pointed straight ahead as he dragged you through the snowy path. You chuckled and picked up the pace to follow him.
“Your legs are too long! Noona can’t keep up!” Chanyeol looked down at you and slowed down immediately.
“Oops… I forgot, I’m still not use to these.” Chanyeol pointed at his long legs and scratched the back of his head awkwardly. He had an enormous growth spurt during the fall and you couldn’t help but laugh at how clumsy and lanky he is.
“It’s okay Channie, you’ll get use to them soon.” Maybe he’ll grow into them as well you thought, he’s much too skinny.
“I hope so…”
The two of you continued to walk until you reached the front gates of his high school.
“Have fun at school and don’t wait up for me today, I have work right after school again.”
“Okay, bye noona! I’ll see you at home tonight then.” You waved goodbye to Chanyeol and watched as he joined a group of his friends outside the school. You waited until he stepped inside then headed for Seoul National University. Taking a glance at your watch, your eyes bulge out at the realization that you only have twenty minutes left before classes start.
“Crap!” You begin to sprint towards your school, completely unaware of the sketchbook that fell out of your bag.
With five minutes to spare you let out a sigh of relief and calm your breathing down before pushing the door open to your literature class. As the door opens up you feel a slight tap on your shoulder.
“Miss, I think this sketchbook belongs to you.” You stare at your tattered sketchbook and groan in frustration.
“It’s ruined.” You sulked while reaching for your sketchbook. “Thank you for helping me pick this up though.” You looked up and felt your breath hitch the moment you saw his face. It’s him.
“You’re welcome, it’s too bad that the cover page got ruined, I’m sure the pages inside are fine though.” A smile is sitting on his gorgeous face and you couldn’t help but gawk at his features. “Uh… miss, are you alright?” A hiccup left your mouth and your face flushed with embarrassment, you cursed yourself inside for being so weird. The male in front of you chuckled before reaching into his own bag, pulling out a clear water bottle. “Here, I didn’t drink from this yet, the water should help get rid of your hiccups.”
“Oh no, it’s alright *hic* I have my own. Thank *hic* you very much though… um…”
“Suho, my name’s Suho.” Guardian? What a peculiar name, it… suits him though you thought.
“Thank you Suho-ssi.” The bell rang, signalling the start of class.
“Guess that means I’ve got to go…” Suho let his words trail off, waiting for you to tell him your name.
“Haemi, Park Hae Mi.”
“That’s a really pretty name Haemi-ssi, it was nice meeting you.”
“It was nice meeting you too.”
I apologize for leaving this story in the back burner, I didn't realize I didn't save the chapters I wrote on my laptop when I went to Yonsei >
