A/N - I am a despicable human being! Sorry guys! I haven’t updated in like forever! Please don’t hate me! It’s just that classes are getting intense with presentations and quizzes. However, I made time to write a bit for you all during my day off so enjoy and make sure to leave a kick comment! HAHAHAHA! :)

A shadow suddenly appeared upon the wooden floors. The two of you looked up to see a long - haired girl dressed in a beautiful white gown and shimmering high heels. 

“Sica?” Donghae asked stunned as if he had just seen a ghost.

Jessica smiled and walked closer to the two of you. “Hello Donghae. It’s been a while, hasn’t it?”

Donghae nearly stumbled while standing up after witnessing the startling sight before him. His eyes were dilated and his heart began to race. Sica, on the other hand, walked towards him with such grace and poise, she made him look like a clumsy clutz. You clutched your towel tightly against your throbbing chest. For some reason, a sense of insecurity overwhelmed you and you couldn’t help but feel scared. Could Donghae potentially start to have feelings for his first love? But then where does that leave you? You couldn’t help but feel a bit greedy and jealous even though you knew it would be best to trust him. But this was the girl he was fawning over for years before you entered his life (again). What if he decides to let you go? You definitely wouldn’t be able to handle that. It would be unbearable.

“What are you doing here?” Donghae stammered. Sica quickly wrapped her arms around him, embracing him tightly as if they had not seen each other for years. You instantly felt a sharp twinge in your heart.

“I decided to continue studying here so I would be closer to you,” she replied with voice like silk. You then felt your self-image plummet to the ground.  She was so much more graceful and beautiful than you. No wonder Donghae liked her so much. Who could even come close to compare to her? At a single glance, one could even mistake her for a doll!

She stepped back from her embrace and lowered her hands to his collar. It was only then when she finally noticed you.

“Oh, is she a friend of yours?”

Donghae flipped his head back and finally returned his attention onto you. “Umm . . . yeah, I guess you could say that,” he replied somewhat awkwardly.

A friend? The last time you checked, that certainly wasn’t the case. Why was it hard for him to tell her the truth? You two are dating for God’s sake!

Nevertheless, you offered her a wry smile and bowed respectfully. “Anyeonghaseyo, Mei-Ri imida.”

“Jessica imida. You can call me Sica. Any friend of Donghae is a friend of mine.”

You smiled softly at her words. Maybe you were getting way ahead of yourself. She was the one who rejected him since she wanted to focus on her career. She obviously had no feelings for him right?

“Anyways, Donghae, I have been thinking over the couple of months when I was abroad and . . . . I decided to take you up on your offer.”

God damn it!

“Umm . . . Sica,” Donghae stammered, clearly feeling extremely awkward since you were present as well, “I think we should probably go out and talk.”

 “Ok, we have a lot to catch up on,” she replied linking her arms with him and walking out of the boathouse completely disregarding your presence. Donghae looked back at you with a look of concern but you gave him a reassuring nod, assuring him that it was ok. He gave one final smile which made your heart flutter and continued walking with Sica to the garden.

As they approached the patio adorned with classy furniture, the two of them took a seat upon the comfy swing which gently swayed amongst the cool breeze.

“So how are you?” Sica asked softly after a long silence.

“Umm . . . fine. You?”

“Better, now that I am here.”

“How were things in the States?”

“It doesn’t really live up to the hype. How are the rest of the guys? I haven’t seen them in like forever! Maybe we should go camping just like we used to do back in the day!”

Donghae nodded in response but remained silent.

“So what did you want to talk to me about?”

He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. “Sica, there is no easy way to tell you this but a lot of things have changed ever since you left.”

“I know, I heard about your father and I am really sorry.”

“Yes, it’s that and also . . . me.”

Sica tilted her head in confusion. “I don’t understand.”

“I can’t marry you, Sica. I love someone else.”

Sica closed her eyes and took a few seconds to fully absorb the words which he had just spewed out. “Someone else . . . already? Is it that girl? Mei Ri?”
