Manwah and I left right after the soccer game had finished. We were walking towards the library now.

 

On our way, I told her all about how Minki was reading Romeo and Juliette to me every lunch. She would always make a small grin creep up her face whenever I would mention his name and nudge my shoulder on several occasions.

 

"I wonder what Minki does whenever he's not in the library with you." she thought out loud.

"Me too." I said back, looking up at the sky.

"Maybe he hangs around in his dorm. Do you know what floor he's on?" she asked.

I shrugged my shoulders.

"I have no clue." I honestly replied.

"Hey! What floor are you on?" she excitedly questioned.

"The fourth, last dorm to the left." I answered.

"Really? Isn't that a single room or something?"

"Yup! I'm all by myself." I sighed happily.

"You're so lucky! I have to share my room with a guy this year."

I nodded slowly not fully registering all the information, but once I did, my eyes shot real wide.

"Wait wait! A guy?" I blurted in surprise.

"Yeah...in this school they don't really care if guys and girls share a room, but I really hate it! I feel so uncomfortable all the time." Manwah explained.

"Are you serious? A guy? Who is it?"

"I don't know, he always comes in really late and leaves really early so have no idea..."

"Oh." I thought for a moment. "Are you aloud to change rooms?" I asked opening the door to the library.

 

Manwah walked in first and thanked me on the way. I led her to where I normally sat.

 

"I'm pretty sure you're not aloud to change dorms. I think one kid asked the principal but he just denied his request..." Manwah answered sitting in Minki's spot.

I carefully eyed her as she sat down in his seat. But why was I getting this weird feeling creep up my spine? It was just a chair, it wasn't like it belonged to Minki.

 

I awkwardly brushed off the odd thought and sat in my regular seat putting My Husband on the table.

 

"That . If you want, you can come sleep in my room sometimes." I offered.

"Really?! Thank you so much!" she said cheerfully trailing her eyes at My Husband. "Can you continue the story I'm really curious what's going to happen next!"

 

I nodded in agreement and quickly grabbed the book. I started reading from where we left off. The story was even more interesting now since I was enjoying it with Manwah. Company could really change your point of view.

 

I couldn't help but act dramatic at the cute parts. It was so funny seeing Manwah squeal in her spot. Then when something bad happened she would become completely silent and stare wide eyed. I was very much enjoying myself.

 

The words meant so much more when I actually heard them. Before, when I was reading the story on my own, I wasn't able to share my joy with another. Since I met Manwah, my perspective has changed. It just made me come to realize how grateful I am to have met her. She's such a wonderful person and we have so many things in common. 

 

I wondered if Minki felt the same way when he was reading to me.

 

"'Wait what?' I asked, starring straight at Jiyong. 'N-nothing.' he mumbled quickly looking away. 'A-Anyways, it seems like the fireworks are about to start.' he began, trying to change the subject." I read.

"I narrowed my eyes at him. 'What did you say before?' I asked again. He avoided my eyes while he took a sip of his water. 'I don't know what you're talking about.' he lied, putting his drink down. Raising an eyebrow, I leaned closer to him. 'I want to hear it.' I insisted."

I stopped reading and took a quick peek at Manwah, she was totally into the story. I couldn't help but chuckle at her. She stared at me confusedly at my sudden action.

 

"Why'd you stop?! Continue! Continue!" she whined pouting her lips.

 

"Okay okay." I laughed, looking back at the story. "Jiyong trailed his eyes slowly towards me. Once our eyes locked, he blushed a deep red and turned to look at the ground. 'You're blushing!' I said with shock. He jerked his head up at me. 'N-no I'm not!' he defended completely revealing his red face. 'Yes you are!' I teased pinching his cheeks. I couldn't believe this was actually happening. I was on my first date with Jiyong and the whole time he was acting all shy and flustered. At school he was usually very controlled and smooth, but now, he was a completely different person. 'Can you please tell me what you said?' I asked again coming closer to him making an aegyo face.

"He laughed at me. 'Don't do that, you look creepy.' he said ruffling my hair. I frowned and began pulling away from him, but he suddenly grabbed my wrist and pecked my lips. I blinked seve-"

 

"You're in my spot." someone grunted, abruptly cutting me off.

 

I curiously gazed up from my book to see Minki glaring down at Manwah. My new friend tilted her head at me, then noticed Minki sending death glares at her. Because of his scary look she rapidly got up from the seat and bowed in apology. I made an odd face at her.

 

"Uh...sorry..." she said, not really certain why she just did.

 

He didn't say anything back, but he pushed her out of the way of his chair and sat down. She put on a what-the-hell look and sat in the chair next to him.

 

I smiled at the strange scene.

 

"Hello Minki." I greeted slightly chuckling at Manwah's mad expression.

Minki didn't look up from his book, and just nodded.

 

I smiled at Manwah allowing her to not take his actions the wrong way. I slightly nodded my head telling her to say hi also. She narrowed her eyes at me then slightly turned to Minki.

 

"Hi, I'm Manwah." she introduced.

He didn't move. Not a single finger had he lifted. I analyzed him confusedly.

 

What's wrong? I curiously thought.

 

I turned back to Manwah. She was glaring at him with her piercing eyes, but he didn't bother looking at her. I think he was ignoring her. It was silent for a few seconds before I spoke up.

 

"Um...do you want me to continue?" I asked, referring to My Husband.

She slowly faced me, taking her eyes off Minki.

"Yes please." Manwah said with a sweet smile.

I opened my mouth and began reading again.

"I blinked several times at his sud-"

"Wait!" Manwah motioned.

"What?" I questioned.

"I have to go to the bathroom! I'll be right back! It's just on the second floor!" she explained, jumping up from her chair and running to the stairs.

 

I watched as she skipped up the steps and disappeared. I turned my head back to Minki. He was staring at me with his empty eyes. I leaned a little back in my seat at his weird gaze. Glancing to the left then right, I fell back on Minki. He was just looking at me, analyzing my ever subtle move. I started feeling uncomfortable.

 

"Uh...is there something wrong?" I asked trying to fill the silent air around us.

He didn't reply. I should have know he wasn't going to say anything...

 

Why in the world was I expecting him not to answer? Hm...I wonder why...I thought sarcastically.

 

There was a very long silence. I couldn't take it. He didn't leave my gaze. Why in the world was he staring at me like that?

 

Oh my God this is so awkward...Manwah please come back I don't know what's going on! Why is he looking at me like that? He never stares at me like this...I really have to brake this silence...

 

"What?" I finally blurted.

He kept quiet.

"Why are you starring at me?" I questioned with annoyance in my tone.

He blinked and then narrowed his eyes.

"Why?" is all he said.

I cocked up an eyebrow.

What's that supposed to mean?

"Why what?" I inquired.

He paused for a moment.

"Why did you bring her here?" Minki asked.

I gave him a puzzled look.

"Huh? What do you mean?" I wondered.

"She pisses me off." he replied not leaving my eyes.

"What?" I tilted my head in confusion.

Hold on, is he talking about Manwah?...well no duh Hana, who else did you come here with?

Then something clicked. "Wait...Is it because she sat in your spot?" I asked crossing my arms.

"No." he replied.

"Um...then what's wrong?"

He ignored me and continued reading his book.

What's up with him? I wondered.

 

MANWAH POV

 

"I have to go to the bathroom! I'll be right back! It's just on the second floor!" I explained, getting up from my chair and running to the stairs.

 

I skipped up the steps until I reached the second floor. I made a quick turn to my right passing the bathroom and not even thinking of going inside. I made my way to where the railings were. I hid behind an oddly wide  pole and peeked over the top. Just below me was Hana and Minki. He was staring at her in a weird way.

 

Hm...if I'm not mistaken...I thought.

 

"Why?" Minki asked loud enough for me to catch.

 

Why? What did Hana ask him? And why was he giving me death glares before? What did I do?! I must find out!! 

 

I pressed my ear against the railing board trying to get a better chance of hearing anything else they said. I didn't make any subtle movement and concentrated on my task at hand.

 

I can't hear what they're saying!! I whimpered.

 

"Why did you bring her here?" Minki asked.

 

 

Wait what? Why did Hana bring...me? Why is he asking her that? Am I not aloud to be here or something? What could this mean?...Hm... I thought for a moment. Wait! I sat in his spot before...Could it be that, he's jealous? But what would he be jealous of?

I put a finger on my chin. Maybe he thought that the library was some sort of special place where they hung out... Only the two of them, and when he saw me sitting in his spot... I shook my head. No! I need more information to be certain...

 

I kept paying close attention to Minki's actions. He had a blank face the whole time. I couldn't make out what he was feeling, but I could tell that Hana was really confused.

 

Seems like Minki doesn't usually get mad...hm...interesting...another reason why he could be jealous... My eyes grew wide. Does he have feelings for Hana?! I mean, it's possible! He never talks to anyone except for her, when she said hello he nodded, but when I said hi he didn't even look at me. Rude...but more evidence!! I'm getting somewhere!

 

I noticed Minki looking down at his book, and that was when I made my way back down.

 

HANA POV

 

"Sorry I took long!" Manwah beamed sitting down next to Minki. "Please continue!"

I slowly faced her.

 

You're here! I thought I was going to die without you! I cried.

 

"Okay." I mumbled, hesitating to read. "I blinked several times at his sud-"

"I'm leaving." Minki interrupted getting up from his chair.

I quickly jerked my head up at him.

"Where you going?" I asked.

He stopped moving and took a quick peek at me. He didn't answer once Manwah looked up.

"I...uh..." he mumbled. "Outside."

 

I raised an eyebrow at his hesitations and he rapidly left the building. I gazed at Manwah who was curiously looking at me. She squinted her eyes then made the most gleaming grin I've ever seen.

 

"What?" I questioned.

"He was acting shy." she giggled.

"Yeah...I don't know why, he usually has a straight out answer or something." I said, replaying Minki's current actions in my mind.

"You don't find it, interesting?" she asked rubbing her chin.

"Interesting?" I repeated.

"Yeah," she began, "I think he likes you."

"Likes? W-what?" I swiftly snapped back, becoming a little flustered.

"Yeah, when I left he started talking to you. But when I came back he was all embarrassed." she mentioned.

"What are you getting at? Wait a sec, did you really go to the bath-"

"What I'm saying is," she said cutting me off, "he got jealous because he thought that I was taking his place."

"T-taking his place?"

"Yeah, the library is a special place where he reads a love story to you! He got mad because I was there ruining the moment." Manwah paused. "So? Think I'm right?!"

"I...uh...I...I never thought he would ever think of me in that way..." I admitted. "I mean, the first time I saw him I thought he was the most beautiful creature that I've ever laid eyes on, how could I ever think that he would like me? I mean, I'm not suited to be with him. I'm a foreigner, I don't have a lot of friends, I'm not that social, I'm a total geek for sappy love stories and books and plays and...and... How could he ever fall for an unattractive girl like me?" I rambled.

 

Manwah stared at me wide eyed at my sudden out burst but started laughing once it all sunk in.

 

"Wow, you really like Minki! And don't you dare say those negative things about yourself! You're very beautiful and funny and awesome to talk to and I just love how dedicated you are to love stories!"

 

I blinked a couple times at her remark.

 

"Th-thanks...but...I'm not beautiful...Jia is way prettier than me..." I flinched. "Why did I bring her up?" I mumbled.

"Jia?" Manwah laughed. "You know, if you rip off all the plastic and makeup she has on, all she is, is a shriveled up stick with a cocky attitude!" Manwah bickered.

"I-"

"You are the only person I know who's ever talked to Minki. Ever." she continued. "I've never seen him look at anything other than you or a book. He's reading a love story to you for goodness sakes! How could you not think he might have feelings for you?!"

"...uh...I...I really have no hope in myself..." I said ducking my head low.

"No hope?! Oh come on Hana...you have to trust me! I will get you and Minki together! Mission : Minki and Hana activate!" Manwah exclaimed pumping her fist in the air.
