(Bom's POV on The Way We Were Chapter 15)

(BOM POV)

Jiyong is really a nice guy. After saving him from the streets the other day, he treated me differently. I always thought that he does nice things to me as payback for what I helped him with but from what I can see, there’s something about me that inspires him. OMO! Does he like me? Haha! How could that be? Well, I guess I’ll just have to find out. He left me his call card and told me to call him if I need anything... Hmm… how about a companion for lunch… I grinned as I dialed his number.

“Hello?” he answered

“Eh? Hello? Is this Mr. Kwon Jiyong’s number? May I speak with him please?”

“This is him. Who is this?”

“Oh, hi! It’s me, Bom. Do you remember?”

“Yes, I do remember. What can I do for you? Do you need anything?”

“Well, are you free for lunch? Come meet me at the restaurant just a few blocks away from the hospital where we met”

“Uhh.. Well, now’s not really a good time Bom. Mianhe”

“What?” I said using the saddest tone my voice could. I was laughing in my mind as I know that no one can resist my charm, “But it’s just for a few hours. What were you doing? Can’t that wait?” I asked.

“Alright, I’ll be there in a couple of minutes” he said and hung up.

Jiyong arrived at the restaurant a few minutes later. I saw him by the door and waved at him. He came over and sat across me.

“Hi. It’s nice to see you looking strong and healthy” I greeted.

He just smiled in response “So, what is it? Why’d you ask me to be here?”

“Well, I just need someone to accompany me while having lunch”

 “I’m sorry but if you have nothing to ask of me, I’m leaving. It really is not a good time. Maybe we could do this some other day eh? ” I can sense he’s a bit annoyed. I pouted.

“But… this is what I’m asking of you. Join-Me-For-Lunch.” I grinned, trying once again if my persistence would work... “What is it anyway? What’s so important that you have to leave?”

“Work…”

“Aaah! I believe the doctor asked you to take a break from all that right?” I tried scolding
