A week later

Jessica was already late for her appointment to a very important person.  She overslept; hence, she was now running to the lift before it closes.

“Wait!” she shouted to the person inside it.

Thanks to him who waited for her before pushing the close button.

“Thanks—” her words was caught in midair.  To her surprise, he was Sungmin.  She looked at her watch.  It was just 8:26 am and—“You’re not a morning person, Oppa.  Where are you going at this hour?”

His schedule would always start at 10 am.  So while Jessica’s already enjoying her work, he’d still be snoring on his bed.

“I’ve got an important thing to do.”

“And that is?”

He faced her and playfully pinched her nose.  “None of your business; and stop being nosy, silly girl.  And it doesn’t mean that I’m hiding something from you.  It’s just too…personal.”

She grinned.  “How personal is it?  Can I come with you?—”

“No!”

Her childish smile faltered because it was the first time he shouted at her.  She read remorse in his eyes which aroused her curiosity.  What’s wrong with him?  She didn’t voice it out and only stared back at him.  He looked away first and seemed bothered.

Much to her disappointment, he didn’t even wait for her.  He walked out first upon reaching the basement where the parking lot is located.

And damn these shoes.

Those pumps were killing her feet.  It weren’t meant for her and not her style.  It was tough following him while trying not to trip on those heels.  “Can you at least give me a ride?”

Both of them stopped in front of a ducati—Sungmin’s to be specific.  She noticed that he was carrying his helmet.  He even looked cool on his faded jeans, white shirt and black leather jacket.  “Where are you going?”

“Incheon—”

“It’s out of my way—sorry, dear—need to save up gas.”

“Stingy,” she pouted causing him to chuckle.  “Be careful on your way, Sica.”  She was stunned when he, suddenly, gave her a peck on her left cheek.  “Better not attract bad guys because I won’t be there to save your pretty .”

He left her ‘muffled’ in the parking lot.   “Yuck!” she wiped her cheek as if she wanted to peel off her skin.  Being kissed by Sungmin was no big deal.  After all, he always did that too when they were still young.  “Aish!  What the hell is wrong with that guy?”
