Switch {Revamped} - On Hiatus“Yes—hello? Oh I’m sorry but Mr. Lee is really busy today…and until next week.”
Jessica glanced at Donghae from her cubicle. He wasn’t supposed to be there. He should be resting in his house. The bandage on his head proved that he still hasn’t recovered yet from the incident at Tiffany’s party.
Gosh. She thought he would die there…but it was just an exaggeration because he only fainted. Sehun and Tiffany helped her bring him to the hospital.
“This is Mr. Lee’s assistant, good morning. How may I help you?”
It was another phone call—the 10th she answered to be exact. His girls were burning the hotline and it’s starting to get on her nerves because…can’t they understand that he needed to recuperate and they won’t be able to see him?
Or was she just too concerned about him because it was her fault that it happened to him?
“I—I’m afraid,” she stammered so she cleared the lump on . Pull yourself together, Jessica, damn it. “He can’t make it today. You can call again next time—Bye.”
“If you continue treating my girls that way, I think they’d be afraid to call again.”
Her brows twitched as she turned to look at him. Donghae met her gaze and he, effortlessly, took her breath away. He was again wearing his glasses and it killed her heart. She cleared for the second time to regain her composure. Eew. Did she just act like those girls smitten with him?
“Then I’d be grateful. I won’t ever hear their irritating-squealing-voices again,” she deadpanned. “I’ve had enough—”
“To last your lifetime? I know you would say that,” he smiled a bit making her confused.
“Because it’s the truth.”
“Really?”
He was challenging her. They’re back to their normal relationship.
“Come on—” she rolled her eyes. “Do you think they’d be pleased to see your ugliness now? If I were you, I’ll stay in my house and would only get out once my forehead is fully healed.”
“You are saying that I’m—”
“Just assuming things.”
“Hey guys!”
Here comes Kyuhyun who saves the day from their arguments. He’s always right on-time to stop their bickering—like he had some power to sense it and just pop out of nowhere. “Do you have any plans of eating lunch? It’s already 12 noon.”
Donghae glanced at the digital wall clock—and it eased the tension. “Oh right. I haven’t noticed it.” He stood up from his seat and walked to the door. But before he could touch the doorknob, he went back to where Jessica is seating.
“I’m not a total jerk, Miss Jung. You must bear in mind that not in all times, I wanted to date every girl I see. Some of them are potential business partners and clients,” he told her honestly. “Business—in the real sense of the word.”

“I guess you, two, are a perfect match.”
