The Outcome
Only You
Over the next few days, your school life returns completely back to normal... except for two things.
One, you try to avoid Kris as much as possible, glaring when you can.
Number two, Chen insists on holding your hand -something you had told him you 'didn't mind' when he had first shyly taken your hand- everyday when he's near you.
The days persist in a continuous blur; you can barely differentiate your (Kris-oriented) dreams and reality. You see Kris around a lot -more than you used to- but he continues giving you the cold shoulder. The only (indirect) acknowledgment you receive is the glare -targeted at Chen- when you walk into school every morning with Chen's hand in yours.
You continue to force yourself to fall in love with Chen, sometimes feeling exhausted with the effort you put in, attempting to seem happy all the time.
Finally, the two weeks are up. Chen doesn’t miss a beat.
“
You consider saying no for a fleeting moment, but then you gather yourself and realize that you have nothing to lose.
You hesitantly say yes. Chen does a little victory dance.
The days continue to pass, but you feel something is still missing from your life. You refuse to recognize the missing element as Kris.
Chen is happy and you're trying your best to be happy. Everything was working out, right?
So where exactly were you going wrong?
aaand... I'm going to update (very soon) once again because the last two chapters were painfully short...
and because I love you all too much to just leave you with that. >.<
btw, special mention to Poppy1231 for being so kind to me~
