Gongchan’s POV

“All right, Jaesun, Sky, and I are off for High Cut”, I said, waving cheerfully at the rest of the members in the practice room.

“Aigoo, sounds like my maknae is all grown up, saying he’s going off to the world”, JiHyun Hyung commented, and slapped my from behind.

“Ow, hyung!”, I complained, rubbing my . Why was he so strong when he was shorter than me? And why did he keep hitting my and talking down to me like I was a five-year-old?

“Time to go, Gongchan”, Jaesun chirped happily, and grabbed my arm and pulled me out to the car.

Sky’s POV

“Okay, Gongchan and Sulli, it’s your turn. Pose next to the window, please!”, the director called.

I was looking at myself in the mirror hesitantly, staring at my rock hair and black eyeliner with a skeptical look, when the assistant director tapped me on the shoulder, “Sky-sshi? You’re next up after them, and this is your photoshoot partner, Amber of f(x).”

Amber smiled, one corner of her lip pulling up in a crooked smile. Her blonde hair was spiked up and she was also sporting rocker eyeliner. Different, I thought. She seemed so different from the usual long-legged, wavy-haired, star-eyed idol girl I came across.

I half-smiled at her and held out my hand. “Sky.”   

She shook my hand and answered, “Amber. Nice to meet you, I’m a pretty big fan of 1VS.”

“Oh, really?”, I asked, surprised. Not a lot of idols tell you that they are legitimate fans off-screen. Most of the time, idols see each other as competition more than anything else.

“Yeah, you guys are really talented. I was really excited to hear I was going to shoot a photoshoot with you.”

“Who’s your favorite member in Universe?”, I found myself asking, honestly curious.

Amber laughed and said, “You’re competitive, huh?”

Kyuhyun must have rubbed off of me, that jerk. “Maybe. So, who is it?”

Amber grinned slyly and said, “Sorry, Sky, it’s Kyuhyun.”

I rolled my eyes, “Yeah, his fan line tends to be longest, that jerk.”

“Don’t be jealous of your teammate! Krystal said you’re her favorite.”

What!? Krystal…? But Krystal and Kyuhyun are…

“All right, Sulli-sshi and I are finished! It’s your guys’ turn, Sky hyung and Amber-sshi”, Gongchan said, patting my back.  

I followed Amber to the set place, a wall with colorful graffiti all over it.

“All right, you two need to look fierce, but I need the both of you holding hands for this shoot.”

My eyebrow rose skeptically, but Amber laughed easily and grabbed my hand.

Smiling, I relaxed. This isn’t so bad.

Jaesun’s POV

We were up next after Sky and Amber and I was checking my leather jacket in the mirror, to make sure I’d buttoned everything correctly.

I stepped back from the mirror without looking and crashed into Krystal. Ow.

“Sorry, Noona”, I said, rubbing my side.

My sister rolled her eyes and said, “Don’t apologize. I’m so used to it, I barely notice when you crush my side and step on my feet.”

I wasn’t sure whether I should wince or laugh.

“They look good together”, Krystal remarked, pointing at Sky and Amber posing together. Sky had his arm around her shoulder and Amber had her arm around his waist.

Since when did Sky hyung get all touchy-feely-icky with random idols?

“Um… yeah”, I said, slightly uncomfortable.

“Is he usually like that with girls? Dang, I wished I was modeling with him”, Krystal said, pouting slightly.

What? She wanted to be all touchy with Sky?

“You mean Kyuhyun?”, I asked her, confused.

Krystal shrugged, “I don’t know anymore.”

“Krystal, Jaesun, you’re up!”, the director called.

Wait a moment.

I grabbed Krystal as she started walking to the set and jerked her back.

“What?”, Krystal asked, startled by my sudden movement.

“Let’s talk… later?”, I said, a question  mark appearing at the end of my command. It’s awkward to order around my own noona… She’s older than me… and she could probably beat me up if she wanted…

Krystal hesitated, but sighed and said, “Yeah, all right. We’ll talk after.”

Shim Jang’s POV

“Okay, Jaesun said that they’re almost finished so we should head over”, I told Eun Suk and Soori, reading Jaesun’s text to me.

“Does he say who we’re paired with for the photoshoot?”, Eun Suk asked me, trying to look nonchalant by crossing her arms and twirling a strand of her hair with her finger.

I held back the urge to laugh and instead joked, “Yeah, they’ve changed it from Infinite to SNSD.”

“What?!”, Eun Suk squawked.

“Why, you’re not excited to see our dear SNSD sunbaenims?”, I said in mock surprise. It’s so funny to see Eun Suk freak out like this.

“Well-I-that”, she stuttered, not wanting to admit that she preferred one hot Infinite guy over our SNSD sunbaenims.

Soori was smirking silently to herself.

As if she could read my mind, Eun Suk scowled and said, “It’s not like that.”

Eun Suk’s so embarrassed right now, hehe.

I stuck out my tongue, “I’m joking, you fool. It is Infinite. C’mon, guys, let’s go.”  

Soori’s POV

We arrived at the set slightly early. I could spot Krystal and Jaesun posing with electric guitars against a grey backdrop. I smiled at seeing them together. I miss my family, but at least I get to see my siblings more often than the other members…  

But my smile faded when after the shoot, Jaesun led Krystal away from the set without even greeting the other Universe members or me. Why does he look so serious? Is something wrong?

But before I could cross the room to talk to my siblings, the director came up to me and gave me a shoulder hug. I’d worked with this director about seven times since I debuted, and I really appreciated his patience and cheerfulness.

“This is your partner for today, Sungjong.”  

I grinned at his cheerful greeting and shook his hand. Seems like a really nice kid.

He was taken to makeup first and as he left, I found myself looking at Gongchan and Sulli. Both of them were laughing and hitting each other playfully, obviously enjoying each other’s company.

Wow, Sulli’s really pretty…

Somewhere inside, I felt a little jealous. She’s so beautiful.

“You can take a seat there as you wait if you want, Soori”, the director said, motioning at a chair. I nodded and sat there, scrawling on a piece of paper as I waited. It’d become habit to write lyrics almost everywhere I went now.

She thought if she hid her own beauty, it would make her confident.

She thought if she hid from herself, she could blind herself from her faults.

But it only made it worse, made her hurt more, when she met someone brighter than her.

Someone who’s brightness made her deep faults come to light.

“Soori, get to makeup now!”

“Yes, sir”, I said, and scrambled hastily from my chair to get to makeup.

Eun Suk’s POV

I was watching Shim Jang and Dongwoo enthusiastically posing with each other. Both of them have so much aegyo, I thought, but I couldn’t help but smile with them at their eye smiles and heart signs.  

Soori and Sungjong, who had already finished, were chatting backstage. Surprisingly, he and Soori looked good together as well, I thought. Sungjong, who was so girlish, had been totally charismatic and manly when he had shot with Soori. Lucky her, I thought, to have such a fun partner. My partner still hadn’t arrived due to his busy schedule…

“Myungsoo-ah, you’re late!”, the assistant director yelled as the last Infinite member came rushing in.

I bit my lip when I saw who it was…. So… good-looking.

No! I shook my head. I definitely was not the kind of girl who liked boys based on looks….Right? T^T

“Okay”, the director called five minutes later, “Dongwoo and Shim Jang, cleared! Good job! Very fun.”

Myungsoo was rushing onto the set now, looking hurried and focused.

“All right, put your elbow on his shoulder, Eun Suk-sshi”, the director told me.

I did as I was told, feeling slightly hesitant to do so. Gah… why am I so nervous? I turned to face the camera, but I couldn’t help but notice… His breathing is so ragged… and he’s sweating already… Is he okay? He looks exhausted…

“All right, good. Next shot, Myungsoo, put an arm around her waist.”

Myungsoo, without any hesitation, pulled me towards him and put an arm around my waist.

I squirmed. Don’t blush, don’t blush…

“I’m sorry if you’re uncomfortable that I was so sudden…”, Myungsoo whispered to me, his breathing still uneven, “It’s just… I’m really used to doing this with every idol girl they ask me to pose with…”

So it’s just typical for him? When I'm here and my heart's about to implode?  

I just nodded in reply and turned to face the camera.

But out of the corner of my eye, I saw Myungsoo’s eyes start to slide shut, and before I knew what was going on, he’d collapsed on top of me.

Oh my god! Myungsoo!

“Myungsoo!”, I heard someone call, but I was putting all my strength into keeping him upright.

“Myungsoo-sshi!”, I tried to yell, but I was-

The director and Dongwoo helped to get Myungsoo off of me and someone else grabbed my shoulders to try to steady me.

“Thanks…”, I said weakly, but stopped. Who is this girl again?

“Amber”, she answered, patting my back gently.

By then, Soori had rushed over to me. She hugged me tightly and said, “You’re okay, Eun Suk. Thank god.”

Chan Hee’s POV

I was looking at my outfit in the mirror, pulling the belt a notch tighter and making sure my ponytail wasn’t missing any strands.

“Like what you see?”, Soo Ri asked, walking up, sporting a trench coat of her own.

I shrugged and replied, “Burberry never fails to impress.”

“We have to do good today”, Soo Ri said, and I could tell the nerves were starting to get to her, “I’m opening the show and you’re closing the whole thing…”

Relax, girl, you’re amazing.

“You mean, do well”, I corrected sternly.

A girlish laugh from behind me made the both of us turn to see who it was.

It was Jessica sunbae from SNSD, talking to Kyuhyun, who was also dashingly dressed in a sharp black trench coat.

“Kyuhyun’s really popular, huh?”, Soo Ri mused, watching Jessica’s fangirl attitude towards Kyuhyun.
“Yeah, he was voted hottest idol after Myungsoo, Siwon, and Yunho”, I replied. I wonder if all this popularity is going to get to his head… the guy’s confident enough already…

“ALL RIGHT- MODELS TO YOUR PLACES! THE SHW IS STARTING IN FIVE MINUTES! TO YOUR PLACES!”

I took a deep breath and walked to my assigned spot, my nerves tingling with anticipation. I absolutely love this sensation…

“AND GO, FIRST MODEL, GO, GO!”
