Ch 5- Kinder Surprise

Nobody's POV

All of SHINee sighed as they thought of their pasts. After being in a long deep thought, all of them decided to check out the place. They were overwhelmed with happiness as they looked at the gaming room, the karaoke/theater room, and the jacuzzi. However, when they went into the kitchen there was a kinder surprise awaiting for their presence.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!~

There was banner that had girly handwriting on it. There were balloons strung up everywhere. There were 2012 party hats and noise makers. There was even a homemade cake with the words 'A New Beginning 2012' written on it.

Obviously, Jin Ae had done this before SHINee had gotten there.

“Look hyung, a letter!” Taemin pointed at the letter that had lime green glittery letters spelling out 'Welcome' on a neon pink paper.

Onew grabbed the gigantic, half body-sized letter that he read aloud,

“Dear Guests,

Since you guys probably don't know me & I probably don't know you I'd like to say “Welcome!' Hopefully you'll find this place like home and because I haven't been here long enough to really call it home myself, however I hope you are comfortable here. Since I can't celebrate New Years Day with my friends in the States, I was hoping I could celebrate it with you guys, even though we are complete strangers. New Years is a time for New beginnings and changes. I hope that I will enjoy my stay here in Korea and that you will have an eventful and lucky year. Anyway, I hope we can have fun and party like there's no tomorrow.

When Onew finished reading it, the room grew silent and the atmosphere was rather tense.

Minho sighed, slapping his forehead in frustration, “What have we done?”

Jonghyun spoke up, “Now I feel really guilty,”

“Well we shouldn't feel guilty,” Taemin spoke up, “She hurt Mr. Lee. She deserves it,”

Everyone else grew silent, no one argued, because deep in there heart that's what they all thought. However, the guilt was consuming them with each passing second.

Key yelled furiously, “God, this is confusing!”

“Let's just put are stuff in our rooms. Then we'll try and compensate with Jin Ae,” Onew suggested.

“What if I don't want to compensate with her,” Taemin argued.

“Hey, we don't have to fully forgive her for what she did,” Onew started, “But we have to at least give her some credit for fixing all this for us,” He motioned at all the decorations.

“Hyung's right,” Key commented while eying the cake, “I mean seriously, that cake must have taken a lot of time and effort to make,”

They all nodded and headed to go and grab their luggage. They were hauling it up the never-ending mountain of steps when they suddenly froze in their place.

Your POV

Stop it now! Stop crying Jin Ae! I kept telling myself this in my heart, but nothing was working. The words just kept ringing in my head causing the tears to flood down even more.

You're a really strong girl, Jin Ae. That's what I love about you. His voice suddenly appeared into my head.

He's right. I am a strong girl. I wiped away my tears & looked at myself in the mirror. I looked like a freakin' raccoon! I washed my face and re-did my make-up.

Then I grabbed my guitar and began singing a song that always helped me through all my troubles when ever I needed it.

When I finished I heard a rustle outside my door. I placed my guitar down and opened my door when in came pouring the SHINee members who were listening at the door.

“YAH!” I yelled, “How long where you listening there?!”

They looked up at me with shocked expressions, for they were caught red handed.

“Surprise!” Onew said wearily as he was being crushed by his other members.

“Answer me,” I sternly stated at them when they finally got up.

The first one to talk was Minho who was awkwardly scratching his head, “Well, this is very awkward,”

“Definitely,” Key agreed.

“Jin Ae, you can play the guitar?” Jonghyun asked as he casually picked it up.

“Yeah, a bit,” I sat on the bed next to him, completely forgetting that I was angry at them for ease-dropping. I guess that's the magic of my guitar, it makes me happy no matter what, washing away all my troubles and sadness.

Jonghyun started strumming a lively song.

I stared wide-eyed, “You can play too?” I smiled and listened as he started singing, little did I know I started singing along with him.

When the chorus came the SHINee members started singing along with their pitch perfect harmonies and angelic sounding voices. As Jonghyun stopped at the chorus all eyes were on me.

“What? Is there something on my face?” I asked.

Minho carefully went up to me and wiped a tear from my face.

“Oh, sorry. The song was really beautiful. So I kinda got emotional,” I answered and tried wiping any stray tears.

“So I'm taking you liked it,” Jonghyun smiled.

I nodded my head, “You guys are really talented,” I looked at all of them and smiled. Then I got up from the bed and glared at them, “But don't think it makes up for ease-dropping on me when I was singing,”

“Wae?” Taemin pouted, “You sang for us and we sang for you. Now we're even,”

“No,” I shook my head, “You guys performed willingly. You guys secretly listened to me sing, when I really didn't want an audience,”

“Fine, fine,” Onew waved his hand, “We'll make it up to you by throwing a New Years Party,”

“Sounds like a plan,” My face lit up at the mention of a party. This would be fun! The SHINee members and I having our own personal party together to celebrate the new year. Or at least that's the perfect picture in my mind. Apparently, the boys had another idea.
