Sorry I meant to have this up sooner, but some things came up so forgive me (^_^;)  but this chapter is a little longer than usual so enjoy! (Especially you Soosicspheres lol) 

[General POV]

The trio made there way into the busy auditorium, sitting a few rows from the front. Tiffany and Sooyoung sat on either side of Jessica, near the center of the row.

“So what play is this?” Tiffany asked.

“Uh… Romeo and Juilet I think?” Jessica replied, looking glancing through the program.

“Yoona’s playing Juliet huh?” Sooyoung commented with a chuckle.

“Who’s Romeo? It doesn’t say…” Jessica wondered.

The lights were dimmed, indicating the show was about to begin. The opening sequence played, as various actresses came to the stage, dressed in fancy, old-fashion clothing. They were in a ballroom scene.

Yoona stood on the balcony, looking down at the dancers with a bored expression.

“When will the night end?” she asked with a sigh.

Just then a masked figure emerged from the crowd. Seemingly mesmerized by ‘Juliet’.

They walked closer to Yoona, holding out their hand.

“Care to dance?”

‘Juliet’ expression was no longer bored, but intrigued by the latter’s bold move.

“Very well.” She took her hand and led her to the middle of the stage or ballroom and slowly swayed, spinning around. The crowd left a space for them, and a spotlight shone on them as if they were the only ones in the room.

“Wait… ‘Romeo’ kind of looks familiar…” Jessica whispered, and Sooyoung agreed. Tiffany was too immersed in the play to take notice of the other two.

“Yeah… I wonder...” Sooyoung stared, trying to get a better look.

The person they were referring to was masked, and stared deeply into ‘Juliet’s’ eyes as they danced to the delicate music.

“Wait a minute… isn’t that…?” Before Jessica could finish, the mask was removed and everyone gasped.

“Y-Yuri!?” The trio said in unison.

Yuri smirked a little at the audience’s reaction, but continued her part and exited the stage, leaving Yoona alone.

The play continued, and by the last scene, ‘Romeo’ found Juliet lying peacefully.

“Oh Juilet, such cruel fate upon thee…” she kneels down and pulls out a small vial. “Here’s to my love!” she drinks the vial. “O true apothecary! Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die.” She leans down, capturing Juliet’s lips.

The whole audience was silent, with minor ambience in the background.

Romeo remained unmoving. Juliet awakes and finds Romeo; she proceeds to find the poison vial and gasps, kissing her once again in hopes to poison herself. “Thy lips are warm.”

There were shouts coming from off the stage and Juliet pulls a dagger from Romeo’s sheath.

“Yea, noise? Then I'll be brief. O happy dagger! This is thy sheath; there rust, and let me die.” She announced, stabbing herself with the dagger and collapsed next to Romeo.

Sooyoung’s mouth gaped open, Jessica’s eyes were wide, and Tiffany was lightly crying from the scene.

The entire audience was silent, provided the occasional sneeze or cough, as well as quiet sniffles provided by Tiffany. The curtains closed and someone finally broke the silence by clapping and eventually the rest of the audience followed and cheered.

“Wow.” Sooyoung was still bewildered while Jessica held the same reaction.

“I didn’t know Yuri knew how to act.” Tiffany commented and the other two agreed.

They exited the auditorium and winced, trying to adjust to the bright light from outside.

“Well that was interesting.” Jessica yawned and stretched her limbs.

“Tired already?” Sooyoung teased, poking Jessica in the shoulder.

“No, dim rooms just make me… sleepy.” She retorted and Sooyoung chuckled.

“Hey look, there’s Yoona and Yuri!” Tiffany pointed towards the duo that was being bombarded by from the audience.

“I guess it was a hit.”

Jessica, Sooyoung and Tiffany walked over to them as the crowd began to die down.

“Oh! Jessica, Sooyoung, Tiffany!” Yuri waved at them as they approached.

“Nice job guys!” Sooyoung gave them high-fives and Tiffany gave them brief hugs.

“That was beautiful!”

Jessica smiled as well. “Yeah, I was impressed!”

“T-thanks.” Yuri thanked them with a sheepish grin.

“See? You did great Yul~” Yoona smiled brightly, clinging onto Yuri’s arm.

“It was just because you were with me.” Yuri grinned and Yoona lightly hit her arm.

“Anyways, its nice that you all could make it!” Yoona smiled at the three.

Yuri put her hand on Jessica’s shoulder. “I’m proud of you.”

Jessica shrugged off her hand and put on a cold expression.

Sooyoung, Tiffany and Yoona exchanged confused glances but shrugged it off and continued with small chat. 

“Doesn’t your dance competition start soon Soo?” Yuri asked and Sooyoung looked at her watch and hit her forehead.

“I almost forgot! Hyo will kill me… I’ll see you guys later!” she was about to run off, but stopped and turned, grabbing Jessica’s hand. “You’ll be there to cheer me on right?” she asked cutely.

“Uh… sure.” Jessica mumbled quietly, blushing at the sudden contact.

Sooyoung gave a satisfied grin and ran off.

“Speaking of which, Yuri and I need to go finish cleaning out the sets and such. We’ll see you later!” Yoona said, pulling Yuri while she waved at Jessica and Tiffany.

“So we got a little bit before the dance competition, did you want to grab a quick snack?” she asked the quiet girl beside her.

Jessica nodded. “Why not?”

Tiffany smiled happily and hooked herself onto Jessica while they went to grab something to eat.

[Sooyoung’s POV]

My knee bounced up and down from anticipation as the other contenders were warming up.

“Nervous?” Hyoyeon asked, taking a seat beside me and passing me a bottle of water.

I shook my head. “I’m fine.” I lied, chugging down half of the cold liquid in one go.

“Don’t worry Soo, Jessica is watching right?” she asked, seemingly innocent but I knew her intentions.

“She said that she was going to.” I mumbled and drank the rest of the liquid.

“So you got nothing to worry about.” she winked and stood up, stretching her arms. “Should we warm up?” she asked.

I nodded and began stretching as well.

‘I’ll do my best.’ I thought.

It was time and my heart raced. Though I was a complete mess on the inside, my face kept its cool and calm expression.

I watched the other dancers from the side of the stage. They were good. I was feeling doubtful but quickly shook the thoughts.

Jessica’s image popped into my head. “I need to win this.” I whispered to myself.

The crowd cheered and the dancers came off the stage. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked down. It was Nicole.

“Good Luck!” she cheered raising her fist.

I smiled. “Thanks!”

She giggled and hopped away.

“Next up, Hyoyeon and Sooyoung!” they announced

I took a deep breath.

“You ready?” Hyoyeon asked, glancing up at me.

I nodded. “Now or never.”

She grinned and began walking on stage, I followed and was greeted with flashing lights and loud cheering.

I took a quick glance into the crowd. It was hard to see, as the lights were blinding, making silhouettes of the crowd. I tried my best to spot Jessica but I couldn’t find her.

“Sooyoung!” I heard Hyoyeon call and got into position when the sudden rush of fear came over me. My legs were shaking and my mind was a mess. Why was I so nervous? I was fine just minutes ago.

The music began and I moved my body, but I felt stiff. My body wasn’t moving the way I wanted to and I was slowly getting off the beat. Hyoyeon was quick to notice this, and tried her best to adapt with my movements and urge me on. I closed my eyes. I couldn’t continue like this… I couldn’t…

“You can do it Sooyoung!” I heard a small voice amongst the rowdiness of the crowd.

I looked out, and sure enough, there was that face I was longing to see. She was standing and waved her arms. The whole crowd disappeared. It was like this at the karaoke competition. The nervous feeling I had before was gone, and I felt a sudden burst of energy overcome me. 

I looked at Hyoyeon and she noticed my newfound confidence as we continued dancing, far better than any practice that we’ve had. Every movement was perfect and in sync. It was like our bodies were conducting the music. The song came to its end.

The crowd burst into cheers and claps as our chests rose and sank, sweat dripping from our foreheads.

“I knew you had it in you.” Hyoyeon commented and I just chuckled.

We bowed down to the crowd and walked off stage.

“Great job! You had me a little worried at the beginning though… where did that sudden energy come from?” Hyoyeon asked, as she wiped her forehead with a towel.

“An angel.” I unconsciously smiled at the memory.

“Oh~? An angel huh? Does that angel have blonde hair and has an aura as cold as the arctic?”

I quickly blushed at my statement, and covered my mouth.

She just laughed. “It’s okay Soo, I won’t tell.” She winked.

I bowed my head down in embarrassment.

“Hyoyeonie~!” A voice sung and hopped on the dancer.

“Seohyunie~!” she replied and spun the girl around. “Did I do good?” she asked cutely.

Seohyun nodded. “You were amazing~” she glanced at me. “You were great too Sooyoung!”

I thanked her before Hyoyeon stole her attention again. “Do I get a reward?” she asked, sticking out her lips expectantly.

She was greeted with Seohyun’s finger. “Only if you win.” She teased while Hyoyeon just pouted.

I laughed at their cute affections. A sudden thought hit me.

“I’m going to look for Jessica and Tiffany.” I said and walked away from the couple.

“They’re going to announce the winners soon, so don’t go too far!” Hyoyeon called out and I waved my hand in acknowledgement.

[Jessica’s POV]

They finished their dance and I was completely mesmerized by Sooyoung. Though I noticed her struggling in the beginning. I don’t know what came over me… to suddenly shout like that.

{Flashback}

We took our seats towards the front and a little closer to the end, as the middle was far too crowded and barely anyone actually sat in their seats.

The dances continued and finally it got to Hyoyeon and Sooyoung’s turn. I saw Nicole put her hand on Sooyoung’s shoulder and whisper something to her. I felt a small pang of irritation at the sight, but it faded as they got on the stage. I had to admit that Sooyoung looked really good. Her costume was fitted and held her figure well, and wasn’t too flashy as it didn’t really need to be.

“Do you think they can see us?” Tiffany asked and I shrugged.

Sooyoung seemed to be looking out into the crowd. I assumed that she was looking for us, but I guess the lights were a little too bright. I resisted the urge to wave at her and just sat with my arms crossed.

Hyoyeon called her over and she got into position. I was anticipating, but noticed that Sooyoung’s facial expression and shakiness. I wonder if she was nervous.

The music boomed and they began. I furled my brows as I noticed that something was very wrong with Sooyoung. She seemed sluggish and totally stiff.

‘and she had the nerve to call me stiff.’ I smirked to myself.

The sight was painful to see. Sooyoung’s eyes were shut and she looked like she was ready to give up. I couldn’t watch this anymore.

“YOU CAN DO IT SOOYOUNG!!” I shouted loudly, but as loud as it was, the crowd drowned out my encouragement, so I opted to waving my hands to grab her attention.

She seemed to hear me and stared exactly into my direction. Not just my direction, but at me. It was just like the karaoke competition. Slow motion, the crowd tuned out and we just stared at each other. She seemed to get my message and smile widely.

I was a little in shock at my actions, but noticed Sooyoung suddenly break from her funk and dance far better than I had seen her before. Hyoyeon was also trying her best as they completed the dance on a high note.

The crowd went crazy and I found myself smiling.

{End Flashback}

“So what was that awhile ago?” Tiffany asked, breaking me from my thoughts.

I shook my head. “I’m not really sure to be honest.”

She looked at me raising her brow, but looked at her phone. “Well there is one more dance, and they’re going to announce the winners.”

I nodded and stood up. “We better—“ before I could finish I heard a familiar voice call us.

“Jessica! Tiffany!”

I looked over and Sooyoung waved at us.

We walked over to her. Her hair was wet on the ends and sweat dripped from her forehead.

“What did you think?” she asked curiously.

“It was good… I guess” I mumbled.

“You dance really well Sooyoung! You and Hyo make a great pair!” Tiffany chimed in.

‘I would make a better partner’

I hit my head vigorously as I didn’t know where those thoughts came from and quickly shoved them aside.

“You okay Sica?” Sooyoung asked a little concerned and I nodded and laughed awkwardly.

“The judges are ready to make their decision and will be announced in a moment.” The announcer called out and everyone gathered, eager to hear the results.

I felt Sooyoung grasp my hand and look towards the stage in anticipation. I didn’t really bother with it and just let her.

“The winners have been chosen!” they called out. “After much consideration and—“

“Here they go again, beating around the bush.” I grumbled.

Tiffany just laughed and waited for them to announce the winners.

“Without further ado… the winners of this year’s dance competition is…” they paused and held up a piece of paper.

“Hyoyeon and Sooyoung!!” they shouted and in the spur of the moment we grabbed each others hands and jumped in excitement.

We noticed our positions and quickly let go of each other, clearing our throats and looked around awkwardly.

“Would the winners please come to the stage!”

“Well you better get going!” I ushered her towards the stage. 

Sooyoung looked at me before pulling me into a tight hug. “Thanks Sica.” She whispered and pulled away.

My face was red and I looked down. 

I watched her as she ran towards the stage. My heart was pounding as I held my chest.

I turned to Tiffany who had a bitter expression.

“Is something wrong Tiff?” I asked, and went to reach out to her but she backed away.

“N-Nothing. I‘m going to get some drinks.” she coldly said and walked away.

“Wait Tiff, I’ll—Oof!” I grunted as a rush of students came out of nowhere, pushing past me and bumping me towards a larger crowd.

I found myself squeezed between so many moving bodies. I was getting dizzy and tried to compose myself as I tried to push past everyone, only to find myself lost and stuck in the sea of people.

My lungs were at a loss for oxygen as I began to see black spots. I was having a panic attack. I couldn’t find any opening or space. Just jammed in the midst of people. The voices were becoming muffled and gritted my teeth trying to break free. I tripped over a rock and fell to the ground. People still pushed passed me, treating me like I was a simple obstruction in the way. Not again. I couldn’t handle it. I covered my ears with my hands,curled up into my knees and began shaking. This was all happening too fast.

‘I’m scared…’

‘Sooyoung…'
