The delivery boy was cute.

. . .

It was a late afternoon; a slow, languid afternoon that you were spending tapping away at your laptop when a loud knock interrupted the silence in your quaint office.

“Excuse me? I’ve got a shipment for office number 208.”

You hurriedly snapped the cover of your laptop down before snatching a pen and wallet and making your way to the door. As you rounded the corner, you spotted a young man in a typical baseball cap with a large box to his side.

“Yes,” you greeted the stranger, “that would be for me.” You glanced down at the desktop you had ordered, ensuring that it was the model you asked for. When you lifted your face to look at the delivery boy, you were taken aback by how handsome he was. His dark eyes had some sort of magnetic force you thought, you had difficultly looking away.

“Could you sign here?” He placed a form onto the marble counter of the currently vacant front desk. You signed it swiftly before placing the pen into the pocket of your dress shirt. You didn’t notice the way that his eyes followed the movement with obvious interest.

“Thank you,” you paused, glancing at the little name tag on his vest. “Junhui.”

“Just call me Jun,” he chuckled, a sound that sent butterflies fluttering in your stomach.

You nodded, “So to set this up will I have to contact your company again? While I am fairly confident that I won’t screw up too badly, I’d rather not take the risk.”

“Yeah,” Jun confirmed. “You’ll have to schedule an appointment, for a fee of course. Or…”

He watched with amusement as you tilted your head slightly to the side, a puzzled expression on your adorable face. He knew it seemed silly, but you made such an oddly strong impact on him when he first saw you appear. Your untucked blouse and messy hair should’ve been unappealing, but all he could see was the casual and sensible air you exuded.

And you were pretty. Real pretty.

“I could set it up for you.” The cheeky grin on his much too attractive face did its job of being flirty and flustering you.

However, “I’d rather not.” You looked awkwardly to the side, “Um, no offence, but it’d make me feel better if a professional set it up for me.”

Jun took off his hat and rested it on the counter along with the long-forgotten form. “Fair. But I’ll have you know that I am, in fact, trained to do this. I was only running errands since our delivery boy called in sick. But I didn’t expect that someone would assume that I didn’t have the skill required for such a small task.”

Your cheeks reddened. “Really?” But your gaze still seemed a little skeptical as you studied the male in front of you. “There really won’t be any issues if you set it up? But what if it breaks down?”

He shrugged, trying very hard not to betray anything as he replied, “Just give me a call if you have any problems, I guarantee I’ll fix it.” He reached into his pocket and withdrew a business card before passing it to you.

You glanced at the little description under his name and was relieved to see that it did say IT. Feeling slightly more confident that Jun could do what he claimed, you tucked it into your pocket with your pen.

A little smirk was on Jun’s lips as he watched you. “So, what do you say?”

To your better judgement, you found yourself nodding in agreement, “Alright, you’ve convinced me.”

. . .

Jun glanced over his shoulder. Seeing that you had disappeared from the room, he quickly installed the software that he had made over the past year to troll his friends. Who knew it would come in handy in situations like these?

. . .

There was a sly smile on Jun’s face when he saw the unknown number light up the screen. He had been expecting your call.

“Hello, Wen Junhui speaking.” He had made his tone purposefully formal when he picked up and waited for your no doubt furious complaints.

“Jun.” Your voice sent shivers down his spine, he could hear how incensed you were and he could picture your flashing eyes. Which was strange considering he only ever saw you once, but you had made an impression that didn’t want to fade, it seems.

He still pretended he had no idea who you were though. It was just more fun that way. “Yes? This is?”

“You claimed you were a professional. So can you tell me why my brand new computer is telling me its storage is full and that it can no longer function?” You were livid. “What is the meaning of this?”

“Oh? And what do you want me to do about it?” He was just waiting for you to say it.

Get over here and fix it!

Roger that. There was a very satisfied smile on Jun’s lips as he closed the program he had been running and tweaked bits of it before setting out.

. . .

You looked adorable. Your cheeks were flushed with frustration while your foot tapped impatiently against the smooth wooden floor of your office. Your eyebrows were drawn in a severe frown as you watched Jun with an unhappy expression on your face.

Jun wanted to laugh, he really did but he held it in because he knew that if he let a chuckle slip through, you would be suspicious. He took his time fixing the problem that he had created.

“Is everything going to be okay?” You ask, worried since you had just shifted all your files from your laptop into the new computer. Just the thought of redoing the draining task exhausted you.

The tall male nodded, “I don’t think your data will be lost, just the influx caused a little bit of glitch. I’m just seeing if there is anything I need to do to ensure it won’t bother you again.”

Although, he thought, there’ll be another problem sooner or later.

You’d probably kill him if you knew what he was thinking.

. . .

Too bad the problem seemed to want to reoccur every few days. Soon Jun was dropping in even without the call. But it never occurred to you why he would show up just a few hours before the ‘glitch’ would act up again.

It didn’t bother you in the slightest, sure it made your work slightly more difficult, but somehow you were unwilling to just trade in this faulty machine for a new one.

Jun was good company, he was quite flirty but his dry humour never failed to bring a smile to you. All the same, you had a similar effect on him; he found himself unable to stay away from you. You were beyond just interesting.

But of course, he never should have used such underhanded tactics as an excuse to get to know you.

Because of course someone would be able to tell when a fox was trying to hide its tail.

. . .

You were waiting, seated on the plush leather couches that were usually for customers. You were flipping casually through a random magazine, not really reading more just looking for something to do with your hands.

“And he shows himself,” you stated as Jun walked into the office.

“Uh, hey? What’s with that?” He asked, looking puzzled at your strange aura of anger, annoyance, and wariness.

“I don’t know. Maybe a better question would be why you’re here in my office. I didn’t call you over or anything.” You tried to keep your voice even. But your hands tightened on the glossy paper of the magazine.

“Oh,” Jun scratched the back of his neck, still trying to figure out what the current situation was. “Isn’t your computer acting up again?”

“Yeah, that’s what our mutual friend Wonwoo told me.”

A dozen words not polite for company ran through his mind as his stomach dropped. He was so dead.

You put down the magazine and strode up to the frozen male. “Would you like to tell my why you would install a software into my computer that would give it a bug that you could control?” Your eyebrows were raised while you studied him.

At this point, there could be no backing out for Jun. So he just went for it.

“’Cause I like you,” he somehow pulled it off, without a shred of embarrassment and totally brazen in delivery. “And I was hoping you would feel the same.”

The suddenness of his quasi-confession brought you to an abrupt halt. You opened your mouth the reply, but closed it when you realized you didn’t know what to say at all. “I’m sorry, what?”

He was right in front of you and he leaned down so his eyes were boring into yours. “I. Like. You.” He smirked as he watched how your breath hitched and your lips parted slightly. “And I have the sneaking suspicion you reciprocate my feelings.”

The pretty blush on your cheeks as well as the way you shyly nodded was answer enough for Jun who had been envisioning this exact situation for the past month.

When the two of you pulled away from your kiss, you mumbled under your breath, “I hate you.”

There was a teasing twinkle in Jun’s eyes as he responded. “That wasn’t what you were supposed to say, I guess I’ll have to keep kissing you until you say what you really feel.”

You weren’t going to complain.

Although, “Hey, you two! This is a business building, not some back-alley!”

You just closed the door on the miffed individual.
