In the Name of Love
Description
In the name of love I’m telling you the truth.
Reality is brutal. The truth will break your heart.
When you are close enough to see a person clearly, you’re already too close.

Foreword
In our world we embraced science. We studied maths, physics, chemistry… There’s another world in which, instead of science, people embraced alchemy and magic.
Alchemy was like science. It’s something everyone could practice.
Alchemists acquired the knowledge by studying, doing experiments and performing analysis. They could alter compositions of materials or control energy fields in order to suit whatever purposes they had in mind. Alchemists could treat medical patients, make potions or poisons, assassinate, do battles.
Alchemists could be powerful. However that’s in no way comparable to magicians.
Not everybody could perform magic though. The gift was only given to royal family members. Magical ability descended along royal blood lines.
This statement was true and not true at the same time. In order to cast magic one needed to draw power from either God Alpha or God Omega. And the 2 Gods only bestowed power to their chosen people. One could pray or offer sacrifices as many times as one wished. However as long as that person was not chosen, no magic would be given to him / her.
Once chosen the whole family would be awarded magic ability. Such ability indeed descended along blood lines.
With magic came power. With power came authority and sovereignty. As a result, those chosen people became royal kings and emperors. It’s just a natural outcome.
Wars followed. Actually the 2 Gods were not against each other. However their people just felt it necessary to conquer one another so as to prove that magic Alpha or magic Omega was better / the right one.
A bigger part of the truth, which was brutal, was that magicians simply couldn’t live together. They considered each other threats. They just couldn’t sleep knowing some other people were capable of magic.
After centuries of chaos finally a kingdom evolved which was strong enough to claim victories in all battles against other kingdoms.
Kingdom Omega triumphed. Peace was restored.
Or was it really?
