The Princess and Knight

An AU where Wei is a knight and Jimin is a princess. The king decides for the newly appointed knight, Wei to go save the princess stuck in a tower. Will he be able to save the princess from the tower?

Lee Sungjun was a novice knight, he was recently appointed to be a knight from his 5 year training. 

It was his dream to become one ever since he was young.

He remembered it vividly, that moment when the boy knew he wanted to be a knight.

When he witnessed a knight slaying a creature in front of his eyes.

The knight was graceful, majestic, and displayed an air of power and superiority.

At the time Sungjun was being protected by the knight, and his determination to protect the boy was admiring.

Ever since then, he always dreamt of himself one day slaying a frightful foe.

The boy then went into intense training to fulfill his goal.

Many would laugh at him and ridicule him for his dreams of wanting to become one due to his tall and "scrawny" build, however the boy kept looking forward towards his dream.

And now it was here!

After all that enduring!

He was a knight! And now he could slay any creature!

The boy thought as he stood on a hill overlooking the town, with his hair flowing dramatically in the wind.

A call from behind disrupted his inner monologue.

Sungjun stared at the retreating figure of the messenger, he was to be summoned in a few days time.

What does the King want with me?

"Will you go to the Dragon's Quarters? And save Princess Jimin?"

The knight gaped at the king with a open mouth.

Did he act that arrogant?

Wasn't it too early?

What did he do to deserve this?!

The boy had just become a knight a few days ago and now the king was giving him the impossible task of going to the dragon's tower.

Okay so maybe he was a bit scared.

In reality, although he was determined to become a knight, Sungjun couldn't help himself be awkward.

And a be bitttt of a scaredy cat.

However the boy couldn't refuse... This was the king he was talking to!!!!

Who knows what the king would do if he refused..

Perhaps he would be beheaded?

Or even worse revoked from his title?!

Forcing a smile, the knight nodded his head hurriedly and saluted.

"Yes your highness!"

The king hid a smile behind his hand.

This is going to be interesting.

What in the world did he get into?

Park Jimin sat up from her comfy bed and yawned.

It was just another day in this bland castle, the so called "Dragon's Quarters".

Apparently it was a tradition for every princess to get stuck in a tower and have a knight save them, possibly making them their future spouse.

What kind of sick arranged marriage game was this!?

The girl couldn't believe how ridiculous that tradition was!?

What if the knight was a creep!? 

Or even worse... a pain in the ..

Deciding one's love life like this was very foolish Jimin had mused, even with all her refusals, she ended up being forced in this castle.

The dragon wasn't even a big threat!

The girl would escape, however she made a deal with her parents to wait until her "knight" comes...

And if she waits then she is allowed her freedom!

Pffft, the only reason they made that condition was because somehow all the princesses had fallen in love with their knights and came back all "lovey dovey" ready to live with them forever.

Do they really think she'll come back?

As if!

The kingdom is sure desperate to see heirs...

Jimin was of course planning to ditch the knight and this lifestyle the minute he walks in this room.

Well if the knight survives of course

Either way, whether he lives or not did not matter, as it would still fulfill the condition anyway!

The knight had technically came!

Who knew she would encounter this kind of knight!?

The knight stood in his room adjusting his armor. 

Feeling the heaviness the metal had on his body, the boy groaned.

Why was armor so heavy!?

How could knights even move with this on?

Closing his eyes, his expression turned to one of despair.

The boy honestly wanted to give up.

This was different to when he had trained 24/7!

He was facing a dragon!

A real creature!

Opening his eyes, he spotted his reflection in the mirror.

But...

What kind of knight would he be if he ran away from this?

He was titled a knight!

Clenching his fist, the boy determinedly picked up his sword and bag, marching out of his home.
