"Tae, get us some drinks, can you?" One of my friends asked loudly. I raise my eyebrow and is one second away from saying no when everyone in our group suddenly turns their head to me and starts chattering.
"Yes, yes, she's right." "You didn't even work." "Come on, buy us some."
"I-" I really want to decline. I didn't work? I work half of it and right now, here, they are working at my house. What is this thing agaisnt me?
"Tae, please..." My friends start begging at me and I sighed. What more can I do when they are begging me like that? I stand up and throw them a pissed look before I grab my wallet and stuffed it on my pocket. It's a good thing I already change my uniform. Not like it's anything bad but it's just uncomfortable.
I walked out of my house and head to the convenience store near my house. ", they didn't even say they'll pay." I mutter to myself and frown. Sometimes I think my friends didn't sincerely be friend me without any other intentions of having my money.
Once I'm there, I quickly went inside. It's really hot outside, it's the middle of summer - don't even start with how there's a work like this in the middle of my summer vacation.
The cashier greets me with a smile so I smile back at her. It was quite cool inside, thankfully. I quickly head to the can machine, at the back of the racks.
There wasn't many option about the drinks. Of course, since it's canned drinks. It's either coke, pepsi, juice, or milk. I don't really know what to buy for my friends but I guess soda will do them good. Besides, we are having pizza just earlier so it's probably the best to have some soda - because we're still under age or else I would have buy some soju or grape wine already.
I quickly insert my card there - yes, the machine uses card for some reason. I click over the coke button for about 5 times while I click one for juice - I am living a healthy life without a soda, don't judge me.
None of them came out. I probably looks so dumb standing in front of the machine waiting for something that didn't come out as if I haven't press anything.
"Miss, you didn't press it long enough."
Or maybe indeed, I didn't press it - like how I should do.
I quickly turn around and then I saw a boy, maybe a year or two older than me - he kinda dresses up like some senior at university though, so maybe 3 years? His hair is dyed wine red and he has this beautiful smile - or smirk, I don't really know - on his face. Oh, and he has like 3 piercings in his right ear, each with black earrings.
"Oh- uh- I- yeah... t-t-thanks." I stutter, and now I feel dumb. I quickly press it again - longer this time - and of course, the drinks did come out.
"Is it your first time buying from a drink machine?" He asked me and I don't know if I'm supposed to ignore him or not. Well, since he helped me already, it would be rude to not answer him right?
"Usually it just came out. A long press or not." I answer as I take out the canned drinks and tries to bring it altogether by myself.
But it was as if he actually notice my struggle, he grab some of the drinks that are still in the machine for me. I raised my eyebrow at him and he just smiled.
"Ask for a plastic bag." He said - no, he ordered - and I nod at him. Both of us goes to the front of the store, for me to ask a plastic bag to put all the cold canned drinks.
"Thanks, that's so nice of you. I mean- considering we didn't know each other, yeah." I said just when I was about to left the store and he just smiled before he leaned at the cas
