Sujin and Yoongi walked out of the movie theater hand in hand, discussing the movie they just watched.

“The fights were unrealistic,” Yoongi complained. “Too choreographed. No one fights like that in real life.”

Sujin rolled her eyes with a fond smile. “They’re superheroes, Yoongi. Plus, it’s a movie, you should give them some credit.”

“Whatever. It was okay, I guess.”

Sujin giggled. “High praise coming from you!” They passed by the restrooms and Sujin stopped. “Oh, I need to use the restroom. I’ll be right out!”

He nodded and walked off, presumably to wait outside.

The line for the women’s restroom ended up being longer than Sujin had expected, so she was forced to wait for several minutes before actually getting to do her business. Her phone vibrated: it was Yoongi, asking why she was taking so long.

Sorry, the line was long, she replied. I’m almost done!

I’m outside, he texted back.

She washed her hands and left to search for him. She was surprised not to find him waiting right outside; where had he gone? A few minutes later, she found him leaning against the side of the building.

Smoking a cigarette.

Her eyes widened in shock. “Y-Yoongi?”

He turned to her. “Done?”

She nodded slowly. “When...when did you start smoking?”

He pulled the cigarette out of his mouth, smoke wafting from his lips. He cut a striking figure, that was for sure, but she didn’t like it. He looked different, not like the Yoongi she knew.

“Couple months ago.” He shrugged. “Some people asked me if I wanted to try it and I thought, why the hell not. I don’t smoke that often. Just when I’m bored.” He stopped talking and studied her with a frown, finally noticing her discomfited expression. “You don’t like it.”

“I...” Sujin hesitated. She couldn’t tell him what to do, didn’t want to control him, but no, she didn’t like it. She hated the smell of smoke and it was just so unhealthy and--it didn’t even seem that fun! She just couldn’t understand the appeal. “I’m sorry.”

He raised an eyebrow before dropping the cigarette and stomping on it. Then he moved closer to her and tilted her chin up with a finger. “Why are you sorry?”

Sujin bit her lip, searching his eyes. He wasn’t mad or annoyed, and neither was she, but she was disappointed, and she knew he could tell. His brows furrowed as he stared at her and his hands slid up to hold her cheek.

“I’m not going to tell you to stop,” she said and he looked surprised. She smiled wryly. “I would never try to tell you what to do. But...you’re right, I don’t like it.” She looked away, nose twitching at the smoky smell. “I just...it’s so bad for you, Yoongi, and it makes you smell like smoke...I don’t know. Do you really like it?”

He smirked a little and leaned down to softly peck her lips. She kissed back, surprised to find he tasted vaguely sweet. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t Yoongi.

“Nah. I’ll stop. Like I said, just something to pass time.” He pulled back and gazed softly at her face, tracing her features. His thumbs brushed circles across her cheeks. “I’ll find something else to do. Shouldn’t be too hard with you around all the time.”

She blushed. “What do you mean?”

He smirked and kissed her again, deeper and longer than before. “That’s for me to know and you to find out.”

I know I deviated from the request a LOT but I just think this suits Yoongi and Sujin most given the smoking situation. Sujin would never condone it and Yoongi is really all that interested either. I personally have trouble writing about smoking in a good light - my dad used to do it and I'm so glad he quit. I hope this doesn't disappoint too many of you!

More requests are in store, but I have 2 finals this week, so I probably won't work on any of them till the week is done. Still, expect more next week at the latest! :)

A reminder: I'd prefer NOT to be called "authornim." I know many of you do this because this is kpop fanfiction and it's just immersing yourself but it's impersonal and meaningless to me. Call me Sky(e) or Bla(i)ze or 208 or whatever. Thanks!
