A/N: Here's a short update that is more HaeHyuk-centric since more characters will be coming in as the story unravels. :)

Donghae followed after Eunhyuk into his house already expecting the latter to lash out on him. He could feel it. The confusion and tension going on in his mind and Donghae would like to say he understands where the latter is coming from but, he himself is confused about what is going on. When he formed their bond, he did it out of impulse (like most other things that he does). Desperate times called for desperate measures, Donghae reasoned with himself but it still didn't stop Eunhyuk from slamming the door behind him and giving him one of his most terrifying (well, as terrifying as he can be) glares. 

"You! What did you do to me!?"

Donghae knew Eunhyuk was trying to intimidate him, if the tone of his voice was anything to go by, but his emotions was not matching his words. "I don't know what you mean."

"Oh, yes, you do know what I mean," Eunhyuk countered. Eunhyuk started tapping his chest and his head as though he was going crazy. "I can hear things! In my head!" Eunhyuk waited for Donghae to say something but the latter didn't budge which only added to his frustrations. "You-You ..ugh! I don't know what you did to me but you need to undo it. Now."

"I can't," Donghae simply replied. 

"Why the hell not?!"

"Because it doesn't work that way."

Eunhyuk's eyes widened at Donghae's simple answer. He let out a mocked laugh as he countered, "I don't think you know how it works at all."

Donghae frowned and tried to refrain himself from thinking further since now he knows Eunhyuk is apparently very aware of how their bond works. Unfortunately, it was already too late. 

"Are you serious?!" Eunhyuk couldn't believe what he just heard in his head and fell faint on his couch. "Oh, I'm going to go crazy!"

Donghae felt bad and without knowing it tears started b in his eyes. Eunhyuk glanced at him briefly, intending on intensifying his glare, but quickly melted at the sight. Now, Eunhyuk is the one feeling guilty as he felt like he was too harsh on the latter. Considering what he just found out today about his friends and the fact that there is an actual fallen angel in front of him, Eunhyuk thought maybe he wasn't seeing things clearly in perspective. 

"Hey," Eunhyuk called out but Donghae kept his head down, not wanting to look any more vulnerable in front of the latter. "Hey, I'm sorry," Eunhyuk found him saying which finally made Donghae look up. "I didn't mean to sound so harsh. I just- I'm just trying to wrap my head around this whole thing."

Donghae felt Eunhyuk's guilt come through and was surprised to find himself wanting to hold the latter. He had spent years in isolation in heaven in order to get rid of his need to be with people, a training that seemed torture to him at the time but knew that it was a necessary evil he had to go through in order to effectively protect heaven. Donghae didn't have much time to ponder on his feelings when he felt a presence near them.

Eunhyuk himself didn't have much time to react before Donghae had already pulled him behind his back and upon blinking a second time, he saw Donghae was holding a random woman by the neck; lifting her away from them. Eunhyuk's eyes were wide in fear and surprise. He looked at Donghae but he couldn't read anything off him other than intense anger. 

"D-Donghae, what's going on?"

Donghae didn't answer him and simply glared harder at the person he was holding in his hand. His grip tightened around her neck but instead of struggling herself free, she just smirked then turned her gaze at Eunhyuk. The latter was surprised and found himself cowering further behind Donghae as he didn't exactly feel that she was a damsel in distress rather a person to be feared. 

"Our time has come," she choked out before disappearing. 

Eunhyuk's eyes widened once again at her sudden disappearance. A black smoke replaced her and he started looking around the room, as though everything was just a simple magic trick and she would pop out behind the couch or from the kitchen. Donghae remained still with a hardened look on his face but Eunhyuk was able to sense a hint of fear radiate along with his anger. 

"Donghae, who the heck was that?! Where did she come from!?"

Donghae's brows furrowed as his brain tried to analyze the situation. How did they find us already? Donghae could hear all of Eunhyuk's frantic questions but he himself could barely process the severity of their situation. He was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Eunhyuk scream his name louder and after shifting his attention to him, he was able to feel intense fear and...was that worry for him?

"Donghae-ssi, I need you to answer me!"

Donghae pursed his lips together and decided that there was no point in hiding anything from the latter and told him the truth. 

"She's...She's a demon."

"A demon?" Donghae nodded his head in confirmation. "Why was she here? What did she want?"

"Me." Donghae paused then rephrased his answer. "Well, actually anything and everything."

Eunhyuk was further confused by Donghae's answer and everything he thought he knew suddenly didn't make sense. "What does that mean?"

"It means," Donghae paused as it suddenly dawned on him what the demon's presence actually meant. "It means that we have less time than I thought."

"Heechul-ssi! Heechul-ssi! Look!" Heekyung proudly presented the flower crown she made as she modeled it in front of Heechul and twirled around himself. "Don't I look pretty with it?"

Heechul let out a big smile and nodded his head. They were back in the beach where he was found as he tried to sense a trace of his energy back. He woke up a couple of days ago with very little strength but that was nothing compared to what had woken up to.
