HyeoEun's POV

I checked my phone after the director gave us the "ok" for my scene. While I was on treatment for my hand, the company had me act in a Japanese film as a burn victim. We had been filming the entire day and my scenes were completed, so I was free to leave. I received messages that I had new voice mails, so I checked it when I sat down in the bus to Koreatown.

"First message received at 2:30pm on XX/03/11 from 010-82-1X-XXXX:

'HyeoEun-ah..'

My heart skipped a beat when I heard his voice. How did he get this number?

'Gyeo-Ul gave me this number when I went to the hospital with your mum. *pause, then a slight laugh* I never do anything right do I? First you then your... *snuffle* HyeoEun-ah I'm so sorry that I wasn't there to protect you. I'm sorry that you-' End of message" I jumped and looked at my phone. No! He didn't finish what he was saying! I sadly pressed for the second message to play:

"Second message received at 2:33pm on XX/03/11 from 010-82-1X-XXXX:

"Mianhae. I talk too long haha. Like I said, I'm sorry that you... That you...' I could hear him bursting into tears. I covered my mouth to muffle my own cry; thy came out like whimpers and people started to look at me. 'HyeoEun-ah please forgive me. I just need you. Please forgive me and come back to Korea. Your mum misses you. I miss you. I miss your voice. I miss-" My phone! It went dead! I looked at my phone and kept crying.

A man came over and tapped me on the shoulder. "Miss, are you ok?" he asked in Japanese. I looked outside the window and saw that I had missed my stop. I asked for the driver to stop and I got out of the bus.

I was in the middle of I-don't-know-where-in-Koreatown, going through an emotional storm. God help me. I decided to find some store that was open and ask for directions, but I heard music. It sounded like Korean pop yet it wasn't. In that instant the hurt I felt subsuded. I followed the music and found myself walking into a church service. There weren't many people, but I joine
