That kiss really helped me with my acting. The scene was done and over with quickly. The lead actor even teased me, saying, “You’ve had some practice with your boyfriend huh.” I blushed before bowing to him. He chuckled but got serious and told me that I shouldn’t blush so easily at things like that. “If this were an interview, you would have easily given yourself away already.”

“Thank you for your advice, sunbaenim.” I was really grateful for the advice and took it to heart. An actress shouldn’t react so easily to such things. From then on, I practiced my ability to hide my embarrassment. But, I struggled in another area.

I was on the set practicing my lines when a staff told me that there was a new scene and I had to go over to the set of the male lead character’s house. My manager took the new script from the girl and told me to get my bag. We were in the car, with my manager driving, when I read the lines of new scene. “Manager oppa. I don’t like the new scene. It’s a bed scene. I’m uncomfortable with the idea.”

“HyeoEun-ah. You’re an actress. You have to get used to scenes like that. You were learning to deal with blushing and you can’t deal with a bed scene? It’s not like you’re required to get . You’re just partly topless in the scene. You’ll be wearing a tube, so you can relax,” he told me with a slight irritation in his voice.

I tried to convince myself that I have to be professional about this. I just need to appear in bed with the actor and read out a few lines. However, the scene wasn’t all it was said to be. On the set, the director said that he wanted to add another scene; one where I would be kissing the actor and lead up to in the bed. “You just have to make out with him, that’s all. They’ll yell ‘cut’ and they’ll have you guys under the blanket after that.”

I was really uncomfortable with this, but the sunbaenim told me to relax and that he would take the lead. As the scene played out, everything was okay until he got touchy, and we weren’t even on the bed yet. I panicked and created
