Kyuhyun’s POV

This is a joke right?

“I don’t think I can do this.” She was actually serious. “My scandal with Ryeowook oppa was like a hot water test for me. If they couldn’t handle our friendship, then just as well can’t handle this marriage. And to be honest, I don’t like how this relationship is progressing. We’re like married couples that lost the young love that they had before getting married. This will end badly for both of us, Kyuhyun. I don’t want us to end up in a divorce and be bad role models for your fans.”

I was exploding with anger inside. “Then don’t be. To hell with the hate,” I said as I took her cold hand. I didn’t care if anyone was looking. I wasn’t going to let this go. “HyeoEun-ah, I had the same thought that you did. But I want us to improve. I miss seeing you during the weekends for more than 10 minutes. I miss watching TV with you and holding your hands so you wouldn’t slap my thigh. Doesn’t that say something? We’re not like those couples. I really want to spend more time with you. I’ll make it work.”

“But all you do is miss doing those things together. It’s like a typical drama couple. The guy misses doing things with the girl and goes to the girl to hang out with her and relive the past. You’re right, Kyuhyun. We’re not like those couples, because we were never in love. We were just a habit,” she argued with a hard expression on her face.

I put her hand on my cheek as I stared at her. It felt as cold as her words. I was at a lost for words. My heart hurt so much that I just wanted to hold on to her hand, in fear that she would leave. Tears flowed from my eyes onto her hand. She asked with a surprised tone, “What’s wrong with you?”

“HyeoEun -ah. Please tell me that you didn’t mean it. If you said it back when you were signing the S.M. contract I wouldn’t m
