Chapter 56 : Sleep
Love still exists...
Joanne's POV :
A month in the confinement centre was like going on a holiday. I felt as if I did not give birth to a pair of twins. Yes, even though there was some moments that reminded me that I'm just had two humans popped out from me, moments like feeding them, playing with them and coaxing them to sleep. Other than that everything was a breeze. Mainly because there were professional confinement ladies helping and guiding new moms step by step on exactly what needs to be done. Not forgetting that they would help to take care of the twins most of the time so that I, and for other mothers too, could take this one month to fully recover.
However, my true nightmare started the moment I went home. I was such a smart alec that I requested for no nanny or helper to help me with taking care of the boys. Our parents would drop by 2-3 times a week, but they return to their homes are the end of every visit. Nights were longer than I used to know because babies don't have a fix set of sleeping hours, they wake up as and when they feel like and they are always hungry. I don't know if anyone else is experiencing the same as I am, but I really needed some sleep.
I didn't want to wake Sehun up in the middle of the night just to warm up the pumped milk that we kept in the freezer for the babies and he couldn't handle them two at the same time. Not forgetting the amount of stress and tiredness he had accumulated from the day of being in the office. Sehun is the sweetest, he comes home everyday with a smile, regardless how tired he was. He took over from me to take care of the babies, once he is done with his dinner. He didn't even speak a word of complain to me, yet all I did was to rant and throw a bad tantrum at him.
"Baby... I'm home." He announced as he took off his shoes at the entrance. "Oh... Welcome home~" I walked over to him and kissed him on the lips, taking his briefcase. "The boys are asleep?" He asked. I nodded, walking in front of him towards the living room. Sehun quickened his pace, catching up to me and wrapping his long arms around my waist. "Oh the baby bump
