Christmas had always been my favorite feast of all. Decorating, being with family, drinking hot chocolate, being creative. I love all that stuff.
Since I was young, I had always celebrated Christmas with my whole family. My parents, my grandparents, my cousins, my aunt and uncle, my big sister and her boyfriend.
But this Christmas was different. Since my father’s book became famous, he had been very busy – and my mother was his manager, so she was just as busy. They went to Mainland China on the 29th November and wouldn’t be back before after Christmas Eve. How typical.
So, this meant that I was going to celebrate this Christmas alone. My parents told me that I could freely choose if I wanted to celebrate with the rest of the family or with my friends. I didn’t choose at first. I wanted to see what the time brought before I decided.

Gui Gui and Rainie are some of the cleverest girls in the school, and spend a lot of time in the school’s homework café. Gui Gui’s parents won’t be home for Christmas, as her father just got a book published, and therefore she’s left to herself.
From her point of view, it’s going to be a sad Christmas, but when two guys start in the parallel class, everything gets a lot more complicated.
Rainie, who normally falls for every handsome guy she sees, begins to develop a deep love interest in one of the guys; Show, and outgoing and jolly person, who also is in danger of falling deeply in love.
But the other guy is, to Gui Gui, very disgusting at first, and what following happens doesn’t make her picture of him better. The weird thing is that this distant and unfriendly person, Aaron, is best friends with the happy and caring Show.
When Gui Gui later discovers that Aaron takes the credit for ruining her best friend’s happiness, the disgust turns into hate; but soon it gets mixed up with a lot of other feelings…
No better is it that she has more suitors to take care of, and girls like Hebe aren’t easy to deal with.

Main cast:

Wu Ying Jie a.k.a. Gui Gui
 Best friends with Rainie. Very clever, but not the least sporty. Doesn’t have the biggest interest in love, and is pretty critical towards everything and everyone she sees. Goes to high school. Has a sister who lives with her boyfriend, and her parents aren’t home for Christmas. She and Rainie are brilliant ice skaters.

Rainie Yang
 Hopelessly in love with every handsome guy she sees, and Gui Gui’s best friend. They spend a lot of time in the school’s homework café, and on their favorite eating place, Quadric’s, where she has been in love with one of the waiters since it became their favorite café. Goes to the same class as Gui Gui.

Aaron Yan
 Taciturn and distant towards people he doesn’t know well. Best friends with Show, a fact which Gui Gui at first can’t figure out the reason why. Has two older sisters, and goes to the same school as Gui Gui and Rainie, but in a different class.

Show Luo
 A happy and outgoing guy, sincerity itself and very loving towards everyone. Best friends with Aaron, and goes to the same class as him. Isn’t that intelligent, but doesn’t really care about it anyways.
