"In conclusion," Bang said. "The oil spill was a tragic reminder that our ocean is precious to us and we need to do whatever we can to avoid another incident like that again. Thank you." He nodded his head as the class clapped and turned to Danny, who unconnected his laptop to the projector and returned to his seat. Just in time, the school bell rang and everyone got up from their seats and headed out the door.

"Danny, Bang. Come to my desk," Their teacher said. Bang did as he was told but he could tell Danny was a little worried.

"Is something wrong?" Danny asked. The teacher laughed and shook his head.

"No, no, no!" He said. "I just wanted to congratulate you on a very successful project. I can tell you two really went above and beyond."

"Thank you, sir," They both replied.

"I'm giving you an A but my only concern was that during your presentation, you two seemed distant, but besides that very good job!" Bang couldn't help but give a look at Danny. Distant? Well that was probably because Danny refused to meet up in person for our project and decided to do everything via email. They both said goodbye to their teacher and Bang walked out the door with his stuff. In a couple of weeks they would be on Christmas break, which meant that he was two weeks from being halfway done with high school.

"Bang, wait up," Danny called out. Bang stopped at the doors leading to the parking lot and waited for the other boy to catch up to him. As Bang studied his face, he knew that Danny was struggling with something in his mind.

"What is it?" He asked. Danny sighed, not really making eye contact.

"I just...I wanted to apologize," he finally said. "If we worked on our speech together we probably would have gotten a bigger grade." Bang laughed, he should of known that was what was bothering him all along. Bang was just happy the boy was speaking to him. Suddenly an idea popped in his head.

"How about you make it up to me by letting me take you to get some frozen yogurt?" He proposed. Danny shook his head and adjusted his back pack.

"I don't know, Bang-"

"Please." Bang lifted Danny's chin to meet his gaze. "Let's celebrate our A." Danny laughed, but still bit his lip as he thought about it.

"Ok." Bang couldn't help the giant grin that spread across his face. He pushed open the doors and the two of them walked over to his car. They got in and Bang drove out of the school. There was silence but it wasn't as awkward as it used to be, Bang could tell Danny was thinking. There was a frozen yogurt shop not too far away from their neighborhood and when it was in sight, he pulled into the parking lot. They both got out and sat at a table and soon a waitress walked over.

"What flavor do you want?" Bang asked. Danny looked at the menu and smiled. 

"Strawberry cheesecake," Danny replied. Bang nodded and decided to order the same. When the waitress left Danny pulled out a folder from his backpack labeled "Rio." Bang saw it and started laughing, causing Danny to look at him. "What?" he asked.

"You're going to the trip to Rio?" He asked. Danny nodded slowly.

"Yeah, but why is that funny?" He asked.

"Because I signed up for that too," He said, still laughing. Danny smiled and shook his head.

"Great! I knew I shouldn't have let Brooke talk me into it," He teased. Bang mocked an expression of hurt before smiling again at the yogurt being dropped off. They started eating it in silence until Bang caught Danny look at him.

"So does this mean we can be friends again?" Bang asked, not meaning to sound as sad as he did. He just wanted to be around him again like old times. Danny took another spoonful of yogurt and nodded his head.

"I think I can do that, Bang," He told him. It was hard to get rid of Bang's smile for the rest of that day.
