Ryeowook’s POV

With the ice wall between harabojij and I finally broken down, we are much at ease with each other even without Kyu around. His movements are starting to become more agile with my attentive care. Kyu is still busy looking for a job but although he doesn’t say a thing, I know that it must not have been doing well.

It’s the evening and haraboji is watching his favourite variety show while we wait for Kyu to be back for dinner.

*Knock knock*

“It must be Kyu!” I said to haraboji and ran to the door.

“Welcome back!” But to my surprise, it’s not the face I wanted to see. The person at the door is the handsome man that I owe so much, Siwon.

“Hyu…Hyung…”

He grabbed my hands and pulled me out of the house. I was dragged by him to the rooftop and he came to a stop. He pulled me into his arms so tightly.

“Ryeowook ah, I miss you so much.”

“Hyung, I can’t breathe.” I tried to pull myself away from him but he held me so closely to him.

I could feel his heartbeat in his chest so quickly. This must be the same as how I am when I hug Kyu, it’s my fault that he became like that. He finally loosen his embrace on me and I quickly stood away from him.

“Hyung, why are you here?”

“I want to see you so much.”

“I’m not worthy, hyung. You will find someone who loves you but the person isn’t me.”

“What is so great about Cho Kyuhyun that you would reduce yourself to this state?”

“What state am I in now? I am happy.” I replied.

“You are taking care of his grandfather and jobless. You wouldn’t have to do all these if you chose me!”

“But I wouldn’t have Kyuhyun, hyung.” I said softly with my head bent down, feeling sorry for saying this in front of him.

Siwon roared loudly and walked to the edge of the rooftop and kicked the wall. “Kyuhyu kyuhyun kyuhyun kyuhyun! All you talk about is him!”

“I’m sorry, hyung.”

“I won’t let him have his way. Even if he’s trying to get investors on his side now, I won’t lose to him.”

“Hyung, I know that you are doing something to destroy us but we won’t let go of each other ever again. Even if we were to be beggars. ” I gave him a face of determination.

“Do you really love him that much?” He asked, bewildered.

“Yes.” I answered without a second of hesitation.

Siwon stumbled a little while glancing at me.

“What are you doing!” I heard Kyu calling from behind us. I turned around to see kyu running towards us. He pulled me away from Siwon and protect me with his body by standing between us.

The fiery stare from Siwon from before disappeared upon seeing Kyu. He just looked away and left us there on the rooftop.

“Are you okay?” Kyu asked me, seeing that Siwon had left.

“Yes, dear, I’m fine.”

“What did he do to you?”

Kyuhyun’s POV

I have been trying to win over the hearts of the major investors of Cho enterprise to support my proposal but it seems that the Choi family did something. Everyone seem afraid to even meet me.

Here I am, waiting for the long time friend of haraboji, also an investor I am looking for. I waited for 2 hours already but he is still nowhere to be seen despite his car still in carpark.

“When would President Seo be back?” I asked his secretary.

“I don’t know, you don’t have to wait if you can’t.” She said proudly while packing her files and not even look at me at all. If it was the past, I would have slapped her but for Wookie and haraboji, I would endure.

“Look who’s here.” A high pitched annoying familiar voice sounded behind me.

“Seohyun.” I called.

She walked to the secretary and said “I have an appointment with president Seo.”

“Yes, please give me a minute.” The secretary took the phone and pressed the number 1 key and waited for awhile before saying “Sir, Miss Choi is here.”

Not long after, President Seo came out of his room. “Miss Choi, sorry to keep you waiting.”

Dumbfounded, I have been waiting like a fool for a man who has been in the room all along. I being played around like a fool.

Seohyun said to President seo “Mr Cho here waited for a long time already, would you like to meet him first? I can spare, well, 5 minutes.”

“No, meeting Miss Choi is more important.” That old man said while smiling at Seohyun. Humiliated is the best word to describe my situation now. Seohyun laughed so loudly after hearing what he said and walked into the room with him.

Ryeowook’s POV

I wonder if everything’s well for Kyu today.

Let us welcome, Hyorin! *claps*

I turn my attention to the television and saw the girl that I used to bicker with everyday on the stage holding a mic and singing. Her voice was as good as before. Haraboji was tapping his fingers along with the music and I smile to him and said “Haraboji, she used to be my friend! She sings very well right?”

Haraboji nodded his head slowly.

*Ring ring* The phone rang.

“Yeoboseyo?” I picked up the caller.

“Is this Kim Ryeowook ?” A man on the other line asked.

“Yes, speaking.”

“I am calling from SM entertainment and we saw your winning video on the singing competition 1 year ago. We would like to invite you for our audition next week.”

“What?”

“Are you not free?” The man asked.

I got back to my senses and replied quickly “No, I’m free. I’ll be there. Thank you!” I bowed 90 degrees unknowingly. When I put the phone back down, haraboji was staring at me curiously.

“Haraboji, I have a singing audition next week.”

I couldn’t contain my laughter after that…

Finally, this is a proper length chapter:-)

I shall end this story within 3 chapters I tthink.
