Ryeowook’s POV

Next week is going to be the competition and I am getting a little nervous.

“Wookie!” Kyu suddenly popped out from behind when I’m under the tree thinking.

“You gave me a shock!” He laughed and gave me a peck on the cheek. “What are you thinking?”

“I am nervous. This competition mean too much to me.”

Kyu smiled understandingly and hugged me. “It’s okay to be nervous. Well, you know you will do your best right?” I nodded. “Then that’s enough.”  He continued.

“Ryeowook ah, sing for me. You have never sang for me when you are Ryeowook.” Come to think of it, it’s true. I have always been singing to him as Lixu. I separated from him and stood up. I cleared my throat and sang.

[Well, imagine he sang One fine spring dayJ]

Kyu smiled at me lovingly throughout.

“Aju meolli aju meolli
Meon gose ittneyo
Keudaeui maeileun
Bomnarira mideo
Aju meon nal aju meon heutnal
Keudae nareul mannamyeon
Neul hamkke yeottdago
Yaegihae jweo”

The song ended and Kyu clapped hard. “It’s wonderful!”

I blushed and sat back down beside him. “Really?” I asked him.

“Yeah! Lixu has the cold and charismatic feeling when she sings. But when you sing, it’s so warm and beautiful. How can you be so different when both are you?”

I giggled and said “I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I hate you at that time so I was exceptionally cold to you. But you were strange to like people who treat you badly huh?”

“So you mean I’m sadistic?”  I nodded bravely and Kyu stared at me. He got up to pin me down on the grassland. “Oh sorry! I’m know I’m wrong!” I pleaded as I know exactly what he will do next.

“Too late, baby…” he smirked and came down to me to kiss me wildly. My hands struggled frantically at first but as he slowed down to switch to a more loving kiss mode, I relaxed and hugged him back.

This is my Kyuhyunnie. He doesn’t care where we are, he just kisses me where never he wants. He is the king at home, in school and most probably even in the future.

Fortunately, the tree we are at is rather secluded and so not many people may see us although a few girls walked past and I heard them saying “It’s them again. Why can’t they do it at home? It must be the that made our Kyu prince like that.”

Kyu probably was too busy kissing me to hear them. I pushed Kyu lightly to signal him to stop. He broke the kiss and looked at me confused. “Can’t you see I’m busy here?” he asked and he went back to my neck to continue kissing.

“Kyu ah, stop it…“ I said sternly and he got up immediately. “It’s because of what people say?”

“You heard them?” Kyu nodded.

Kyuhyun’s POV

I let Wookie go home earlier as I think I should let him have a good rest for this week until his competition. Anyway, we will get married very very soon right? Aw… I really can’t wait for the day when i can open my eyes every morning with him beside me.

I took out my cell phone to send a message to wookie before I go to bed.

To: My Wookie

From: Your Kyu

Wookie ah, I will not disturb you until the competition. So practice well! Call me if you miss me! Just know that I love you and be prepared to be my bride very soon! See you at the competition!!

I put my phone at my side table but a reply came.

To: My Kyu

From: Your Wookie

Thank you for being so understanding, my love. I will do my very best and I shall see you on that day! I love you very very very very very very much…..

Ryeowook’s POV

I am backstage of the performance hall waiting for my turn to go on stage. I wonder if Kyu is there already.

“Yah! Oppa!” I turned to see that it’s Hyorin.

I rolled my eyes and said “What is it now? When you call me oppa, it’s nothing good.” She giggled and said “I just wanted to say hi!”

“When are you so polite to me?”

“So is your Kyu here to see you?”

“Of course!” I replied with confidence. She smiled and said “You know what? I hate you because you are so perfect.” She smirked and walked away. So is she saying that she is trying to make peace with me now?

I waited behind the curtains while I see Hyorin singing on stage. Her voice is powerful and full of emotions. If she could change her attitude, I believe she can be as successful as Lixu. I tried to look at the audience to find Kyu but it’s too dark.

Hyorin finished her part and everybody clapped.

"So the next contestant is... Kim Ryeowook! Let's give him a round of applause!" I took a deep breath and went on stage. I gave a bow and stood in front of the Mic stand.

I tried looking for Kyu in the audience but it's too dark and too many people. Then, here comes the music of 'one fine spring day'. I focused on the performance and started to sing. My anxiety and nervousness went away, I felt for once, I'm standing on stage as Ryeowook.

After the last sentence, I smiled at the audience and bowed again. Everyone clapped and cheered. Kyu ah, did I do well?

I went back to the backstage and Hyorin was there clapping for me too. "Oppa, I must say that you sang well. But I think I did better."

I giggled and looked away, pretending to be annoyed. Hyorin seems to be not that bad. I wonder if Kyu would come backstage?

it's time to announce the results and all contestants were invited on stage.

"Thank you for your participation! The results are out. Are you nervous?" The emcee asked us and I smiled at him. I am still looking for Kyu in the audience but I still don't see him.

"Now for the results." The drumroll sounded...

"The 2nd runner up is... Park Eunhee. " The winner went forwards to receive the award and we clapped. I heard Hyorin giving a sigh of relieve.

"The first runner up is..." Hyorin was mumbling "not me... not me... not me..."

"Hyorin!" The emcee announced and Hyorin's shoulders dropped. She must be expecting to be champion.

With her gloomy face, she went forward to collect her award. My heart is pumping hard, will I have a chance to be the winner? I waited for the emcee.

“So… who do you think is the winner?” The emcee asked the audience and many shouted “Kim Ryeowook!” I am touched but I hope they are not paid by Kyu to shout my name.

“The winner is… Kim Ryeowook!”

Tears welled up my eyes. This is the moment I have been waiting for. I, as Kim Ryeowook, won the competition!

I stepped forward to collect the trophy and the emcee passed me the microphone.

“I would like to thank the judges and audiences for the support. I would like to thank my Omma for her love and care. And my Kyu, thank you so much. I love you!” I bowed and the audience clapped and cheered. I continued my search for Kyu in the audience but I still can’t see him. Where is he?

The ceremony ended and I returned to backstage with the trophy in my arms. The friends and family of the other contestants were gathered to hug them.

Where is Kyu? Why isn’t he in the backstage to receive me?

I looked for my bag and took out my handphone to switch it on. There’s a unread message…

To: My Wookie

From: Your Kyu

Wookie, I’m sorry that I cannot attend your performance. Something important cropped up and I am leaving Korea. Don’t worry and I love you!

What? I dropped my phone and fell to the chair behind me. What happened? I quickly grabbed my phone on the floor and my bag and rushed out of the room. I ran to the street and tried flagging a taxi desperately. Tears start to form at the edge of my eyes.

Finally, a taxi stopped in front of me. “Incheon airport.” I said and the driver nodded his head.

Why are you leaving so suddenly? Will you come back? When are you coming back? These questions keep circling in my mind. I tried calling Kyu along the way but his phone was not on, I called Jonghyun.

“Jonghyun ssi!”

“Ryeowook ssi, why are you calling?”

“Do you know where Kyu is?”

“Isn’t he with you? He said he will propose to you on stage today.”

“N..No…”  My voice start to shake and I start to cry over the phone.

Jonghyun tried to ask me what happened but I could not answer him.  “Ryeowook ssi, I’ll help you look for him, don’t worry! Keep in touch!”

I arrived at the airport and I quickly paid the driver and dashed out of the taxi. Frantically, I ran around the airport aimlessly, just looking for anyone that looks like my Kyu.

The departure hall! I suddenly thought of it and ran in that direction. “Kyu ah!!” I shouted as I search.

“Kyu ah!!” I called desperately. People at the departure hall are waving to each other goodbye while some are hugging. I don’t want to say goodbye.

Just then, I saw a familiar back view inside departure hall. It’s Kyu! He’s at the custom guard, checking his passport. I ran to the glass panel that separates us and I shouted at the top of my voice and banging the glass to get his attention.

“Kyuhyun! Cho Kyuhyun!!”

It seems that he did not hear me and 2 men in black suit escorted him into the inner hall.

He’s gone…

I stopped my calls and fell on my knees. Kyuhyun, where are you going without me??

I'm sorry that i did not update last night because i was busy with my report:-)

So Kyu is gone? Where did he go?
