Closing time.
 
"I'm meeting Himchan later."
 
"Okay."
 
"How about you?"
 
"Bwoh?"
 
"Are you meeting Daehyun?"
 
"I guess so."
 
Sun came over,"Need me to lock up?"
 
"Yeah thank you." I smlied at her gratefully.
 
"Can I update?"
 
"Update what?"
 
She held Cassie's chin for a moment then let go,"That's funny,80 Himchan but nothing for Daehyun."
 
"Where's my other 20?" Cassie asked, slightly worried.
 
"I don't know,you're hiding it."
 
"Cassie ah,you don't trust Himchan?" I asked her.
 
"Of course I trust him,its just,well,he gets distracted easily."
 
"Well you can help him with that."

Cassie nodded.
 
Sun held my chin then giggled,"Unnie,98 Daehyun,2 Himchan."
 
"Woah,Hyemi ah,what's with the huge change?"
 
"Molla,"I blinked blankly and heard the door jingle.
 
Himchan went to Cassie,"Ready to go?"
 
"Want your cake?"
 
"Its okay,"he took a mini and popped it in his mouth,"Wah daebak,this is good enough."
 
They left and Daehyun came over to me,"I'm free tonight,what do you want to do?"
 
I grabbed my bag,"I'm fine with anything."
 
"Have fun unnie!"
 
I giggled and hugged Sun before heading out with Daehyun.
 
It was cold again,I wanted to take a walk by the river.
 
"Where do you want to go?"
 
"The river."
 
"You sure?"
 
"Yeah."
 
"Its cold."
 
"I'll go myself."
 
He grabbed my hand,"Come on."
 
He took me to his car and he drove down.
 
I was sleepy but I wanted to see the water.
 
We arrived and I quickly went to admire the beautiful river.
 
Daehyun came to me and felt my hands.
 
He sighed and took off his jacket to put around me.
 
"You should wear thicker clothing."
 
"I'm not that cold."
 
"Yeah right."
 
He rested his head on my shoulder and rubbed my arms.
 
I still wasn't sure.
 
"Did yesterday really happen?"
 
"Bwoh?"
 
"Me drinking soju and stuff."
 
"What stuff?"
 
"You fetching me home."
 
"And?"
 
"Taking my medication."
 
"And?"
 
"And,"I gulped,"I don't know."
 
"How about after drinking soju."
 
"What happened?"
 
"Why don't you tell me?"
 
I recalled the events that happened yesterday,"Ah right."
 
He smiled,"My cheek is better."
 
I nodded slightly,staring at a boat going past.
 
"What was that?"
 
"Hmm?"
 
"Your house password."
 
I face palmed myself,"I told you my password."
 
"Yes you did."
 
I sighed,"Cake cafe."
 
"Ah,I was wondering why there were so many twos."
 
"Well now you know."
 
He was watching me again,still standing behind me,resting his chin on my shoulder.
 
"Do you remember what happened yesterday?"
 
I shook my head and closed my eyes,not wanting to remember.
 
Besides,I was probably just imagining it.
 
Daehyun chuckled and held my shoulders to face him.
 
"You remember don't you?"
 
"Its probably just the soju."
 
His face fell slightly,"But you couldn't have finished the whole bottle for no apparent reason right?"
 
I thought about it,eyes roaming,"I didn't want you to get drunk when you went to work."
 
He sighed and held my chin,looking into my eyes,"Look,you didn't imagine anything about yesterday,it really happened."
 
I wasn't really focusing but I was listening.
 
"What actually happened?"
 
He took a deep breath to calm himself down,"Iliwa."
 
He pulled me to his car and we drove off again.
 
I really didn't bother about where we were going,I just wanted to sleep.
 
I closed my eyes and listened to the humming of the car engine.
 
"Hyemi ah."
 
I opened my eyes and found ourselves outside a house.
 
"Where is this place?"
 
"My house."
 
My eyes widened and Daehyun got out of the car.I sat frozen in my seat,what's he bringing me here for?
 
He opened my door and held a hand out.
 
Even though he was a police officer,I didn't really trust him,just yet.
 
I took his hand and he led me into his house,more like mansion actually.
 
My short heels click clacked on the polished tiles.
 
Daehyun slipped off his shoes and I followed.His living room was huge.
 
"You live here alone?"
 
He nodded,"Himchan lives next to me."
 
"Oh."
 
He watched me and I took a little gallery walk around his home.
 
His living room was so spacious and it had this huge sofa and giant tv with a home theatre system.
 
"Want a drink?"
 
I looked at him,"Where's your kitchen?"
 
He pointed to a door and I went there.
 
I giggled,he had his own coffee machine.
 
"Yah,why do you have to buy our coffee when you have your own machine?"
 
He smirked,"Well I'm lazy,and besides,your coffee is nicer."
 
I wasn't looking at him,I was checking his machine,"Ah,don't buy the normal coffee beans,get the beans from the cafe or get a good brand,the coffee will taste better."
 
He peeked over my shoulder at the machine,"No wonder."
 
"Okay,I'll make some coffee for you."
 
"You're a guest,I'll do it."
 
"And I own a cafe,go and sit."
 
He put his hands up,"Okay I surrender."
 
He leaned against the countertop and watched me work my miracle on his coffee machine that was almost never used.
 
I made the milk froth and added the shots of syrup.
 
The coffee beans were grinding and the coffee smelled amazing.It always made me feel at home.
 
I found his chocolate sauce in a cupboard and I passed it to Daehyun.
 
"What's this for?"
 
I placed his latte on the counter top,"Draw whatever you like there,"I pointed to the foam.
 
He chuckled and drew something that looked like a gun.
 
I drank my latte,"Wow you are a policeman."
 
He laughed and drank the coffee.
 
"Mm,this is nice."
 
I nodded and sipped happily.
 
"How did you know I drank latte?"
 
"That night."
 
"Oh,wait but you didn't drink it."
 
I smiled,"I can smell my favourite coffee anywhere."
 
"Ah."
 
He watched me again,I looked around his wide kitchen,"Do you have anything to eat around here?"
 
"Erm,ramen?"
 
"You gotta be serious."
 
"I don't cook."
 
"You mean you don't know how to."
 
"Yeah kind of."
 
I giggled,"I don't know how to cook either,a few dishes maybe,but I bake better."
 
He tucked my hair behind my ear and took the chance to hold my gaze.
 
I was intrigued,yet again by his amazing features,wondering how anyone this handsome could exist.
 
He placed his cup down and took mine to do the same.He locked his eyes firmly on mine,he wasn't letting me wander again.
 
He cupped my face gently in his hands and leaned in.
 
I was intoxicated by the aroma of coffee in the kitchen and his breath tickled my skin.
 
He was so close to kissing me,but a booming sound popped our little bubble and we pulled away.
 
I looked into the living room,"What was that?"
 
I went out and heard Daehyun sighing,"Stupid TV."
 
His TV was on and it was kind of blaring.
 
I took the remote and lowered the volume.
 
Daehyun strolled out,"It turns on automatically after fifteen minutes of me entering my house."
 
"Oh."
 
He rubbed the back of his neck,"I'll get our drinks."
 
He went back into the kitchen and I placed his jacket on his sofa.
 
I checked my phone.Missed call from Cassie.
 
I dialed her number and Daehyun came out.
 
"Y-Yeoboseyo?"
 
I froze,she was crying.
 
"Cassie ah."
 
"Hyemi."
 
She wailed into the phone and I had to put the phone away from my ears from the intensity of her cry.
 
Daehyun watched me with a bewildered look.
 
"Cassie ah,waegeulae?"
 
"That,that Himchan."
 
"Yeah?"
 
"He's such an idiot."
 
My eyes widened,"Bwoh?"
 
"Hyemi ah."
 
She cried again.
 
I closed my eyes,a headache was threatening to erupt.
 
"Cassie,listen,tell me what's wrong."
 
She sniffed,"Nothing's wrong."
 
"What?"
 
My head was already feeling the ache.
 
"Come again?"
 
"He kissed me."
 
My mouth fell open,"Erm,okay,and you're crying because?"
 
"He dropped me off at home and then he just pulled me to kiss him and then he ran off and then."
 
"And then what?"
 
"It was just so sweet!"
 
I face palmed myself,massaging my temples at the same time,"Okay,that's good for you Cassie,but,there's like no need to cry and you don't have to call him an idiot."
 
"Well I have to!How could he surprise me like that?!How am I supposed to sleep now?!"
 
I sighed,how am I supposed to sleep now?
 
"Oh Hyemi I'm so happy,I'll make new cakes tomorrow and I'll share my love with the whole world!"
 
I giggled,"Okay okay,tell me about it when I'm home okay?"
 
"Come home safely!"
 
I hung up and stared shocked at my phone before smiling,"She really is something."
 
"Did something happen?"
 
I shook my head,"No,not really."
 
"You okay?"
 
"Hmm?"
 
I didn't realise I was rubbing my temples and Daehyun touched my head gently.
 
"I probably need to go back."
 
"I'll get you home."
 
He drove me back home and I didn't know what to feel.
 
I felt so happy for my dear friend,but I was going to have a long night with her babbling.
 
"Okay we're here."
 
Daehyun came over to open my door and he pulled me out.
 
He held my hands and tried to meet my eyes.I saved him the trouble and looked into his eyes.
 
"Have a nice rest okay?"
 
"Nae."
 
He kissed my forehead,"Don't forget your medication."
 
I nodded and went in.
