-Not expected

I groaned loudly in my office. It was the third time I had started drawing for the competition's task yet I couldn't get any better ideas than just drawing some easy furniture.

My neck made cracking noises as I rotated it in every possible direction and I heard a gentle knock on my door. It opened and there stood Jo Minki.

He held up a black, simple folder. "Hey Yeunja! I just met Moonri while coming back from the restroom...she told me to give this to you. It was some kind of information you needed she said.

There was a click-noise in my brain and I nodded, standing up. "Oh...oh yes, thank you, Minki."

He sighed loudly. "You looked pale throughout this month...is something wrong?"

I shook my head. "I'm just stressed. Don't let me bother you."

"Hey, I know we're not best friends but we're chingus the same age...we maybe have the same problems. If you want to talk, you know I'm always here." Minki smiled and I rubbed the inner side of my left eye, looking at my finger if I had smudged something and smiled at him. "It's just...something private."

"Oh, is it the weird distance between you and Jonggyu?"

I nodded. "Ehm, partly."

He gave me one single nod. "Okay, like you said, it's private...I won't bombard you with questions then."

"Thank you, Minki." I smiled at him and Minki left, closing the door soundlessly behind him. I sank down in my chair and held my head. A big headache started to build up and I inhaled deeply, trying to get a clear head. 

Moonri had told me yesterday there'd come in a request somebody forgot to give some information about. I opened the folder and scratched the bridge of my nose, reading some things out loud. "Mhm, type...elementary school...this...this...requestor name, Moon Jiho- I ing can't with this!"

I halfway threw it along the room but decided to just let it drop loudly on my desk.

I cupped my cheeks and took a gulp of my water bottle.

Shaking my head I just continued my work.

I sniffed from the coldness outside when I came inside my house. Shouldn't it get warmer? Shouldn't it be warmer?!

"No!" somebody screamed and I recognized Heesok's voice. She stormed out of the living room, practically throwing our telephone into its charger.

I jerked at her loud, angry squeal and pursed my lips. "What's going on with you, unnie?"

She looked at me and her eyes turned into furious slits. "I broke up with Siwon oppa."

My eyes almost popped out. B-broke up...? I gulped.

Both of them were each other's first love...and they broke up this violently?! Well, unnie screamed loudly... They were about to marry some time soon!

"You did what?" I asked and followed her upstairs. She just shut her door loudly and I heard her screaming. "He's always lying to me and dances with s at clubs!"

I wanted to speak but bit my tongue. Talk. To. Her. Later. On...not now.

When I walked into my room I decided to call Siwon. He was really not this kind of person, showing off like this everywhere although he was a well-known idol. I mean this playboy being, that was not Choi Siwon.

I dialed his number and he picked up quickly. "Yeunja ah?"

"Neh...hey, Siwon...I just heard my sister erm, yelling around." I trailed off and heard him sighing tiredly into the phone. "It's a really long story...I could tell you because I feel comfortable around you...but it's too much to explain."

I in my lips in for a second. "How about meeting up...You know what person I am. And I know you're not such a person either. I'd like to know what happened...If my unnie is sad I just want to be informed."

He hesitated a while. "Hm...like, now?"

"Yeah..." I nodded and he paused. "...Sure, why not? At Starbucks in some minutes?"

"I'll be there." I made sure and tried to smile through the phone. He chuckled. "Okay, see you then."

"See you." I ended the call and sighed, looking at some designs on my bed. I stood up and walked downstairs to get ready after telling Heesok I'd go outside for a while.

I checked my wrist once, looking at my watch and let air out of my cheeks.

In the corner of my eye I saw Siwon entering Starbucks. I waved over to him lightly and he noticed me quickly.

Siwon walked over and sat down. "Hey, how are you doing?"

I hesitated slightly. "Uh...quite fine."

A long silence came up.

"I don't judge you for anything, same with Heesok, okay? I just want to know what happened." I softly spoke and he sighed, looking down.

"Siwon, I know you quite well by now. You're not the type for the playboy role. Just tell me if Heesok just overreacted. This happens easy lately, you know."

He nodded curtly. "I know...this can be one of the reasons." I understood and let him continue.

"My friends and I were at one club and there was a girl nagging. She already met me once some time ago and did the same things. She was being a really annoying girl, so, for the second time, I just said that she was allowed to hang around me but I warned her that I had a girlfriend. She said she knew, just like the last time but as the night went on we -"

"Don't tell me..." I mumbled and his eyes widened. He shook his head furiously. "No! No! We just had a good time talking with each other! She wasn't that annoying later on! For example, she even went earlier than she told me before...Not that I'm in love with that girl, no, I don't even remember her name. Did she actually tell me?...Well, whatsoever, I just wanted to ask, what you did?"

I blinked confused. "Huh?"

"If you were me, what would you do? Were you already involved in such a situation? Dating...boyfriend...I don't know..."

I gulped loudly, averting my gaze to the small table we sat on. "No...a-and I'm also in no relationship at the moment...so, I think I'm no big help here."

A long sigh of Siwon followed the conversation. "You know...Heesok...she was such a bright, out-going girl. She laughed so much and loved spending time just somewhere outside. Now her out-going means going over to friends or shopping. You know, in the beginning of our relationship we went outside, took some silent walks and did what we wanted...but Heesok ah changed so much. You know what I mean?"

I nodded and Siwon took a deep breath. "I have to say...Me myself doesn't like people changing...I don't know why she changed. It's like, from yesterday evening to today's morning and she was a quiet, serious girl. And...a-and that's just not the girl I fell in love with. Whenever we call each other she always has to nag about something. May it be about me or just some random stuff that is annoying for her. I'm sorry to tell you this, but she also talks a lot about you, in a negative way." I flicked my wrist at this sentence. "Believe me, I'm more than used to it."

He sniffed shortly and leaned back in his chair. "And you know...about...about the break up thing."

I looked at him more closely.

"I...I somehow suggested it...we could've worked things out, but she agreed immediately and...that's where we are at the moment."

Again, all I could do is blink. Siwon saying...No, was he brainwashed by somebody? He loves Heesok so much. How is this possible?

I patted his arm. "You know, I'm still there, I guess I didn't change."

He shook his head with a smile. "No, you really didn't. You're still that one cute sibling I'll cherish forever."

A smile also took over my lips and I sighed in content. "You know, whenever you want to talk...just call me. I'll be right there."

"Thank you." Siwon broadly smiled and I nodded.
