-Win win

Stirring I woke up the next morning. It was already late morning outside, the sun was beaming and its rays shone onto me.

As I wanted to lift my head and move my body I couldn't. Still sleepy I saw Jiho's head on top of mine and noticed his arm s around my waist.

My heart started to pound crazily and my breath fastened.

I accidentally straightened up too harsh and Jiho got up as well. Lightly blushing I averted my eyes to my feet, looking to my right afterwards. "Sorry, I woke you up."

He chuckled and his voice was still numb and deeper caused by his tiredness. "It's alright...I should get up anyway."

Jiho rubbed the inner side of his left eye as he glanced at the clock. "It's sharp twelve already...some breakfast?"

I nodded and trailed behind him into the kitchen.

A loud yawn echoed in my office as I looked at the next request I had to do. Lunch came nearer and my mood went up, too.

"Is Jiho at the food stand again? I guess so..." I nodded as I stood up and took the Tupperware with dumplings out of my bag. I darted out of my room, right into Jonggyu's.

"Gyu~ I have dumplings!" I cheered and he shortly looked up. "Ah, Yeunja ah...I-I got no time..."

I pouted and almost wanted to leave again as I noticed, what he just said made no sense.

"Jonggyu?...We're talking here about dumplings...something you find worth dying for."

"Yeunja, please...not." he didn't even give me one bit of his attention and I went back into my office to put the dumplings away.

I took the elevator quickly and left K.G. International as soon as possible. What is wrong with my Gyu-ster?

"Noodles-"

"-With chicken and vegetables...as always, right?" the ahjumma beamed and I nodded eagerly while she also made sure to bring it me.

I sat down and a light tap on my shoulder made me jump up a bit. Jiho stood behind me and smiled down at me. "Lunch?"

I nodded and he shouted over to the counter. "Ahjumma! As always!"

"Arasseo, sit down and wait for it, Jiho ah!" he got as an answer and plumped down as told. Beaming a big smile I started speaking first. "How is work going?"

"Pretty good...I'm free now because I worked some hours extra and now...I'm free." a mischievous grin was seen and I chuckled. "We're getting the results from the next round. Mind to come along then?"

He nodded lightly. "And...how far have you all gotten until now?"

A big smirk reached my ears. "We are already in the seventh round! We never managed it this far, to be honest. I'm so happy!"

"Of course, this year again, they have Kang Yeunja! They can only win!" Jiho nudged my side and I elbowed him back.

After some minutes our lunch came and we ate while having some small talk.

Like promised Jiho came over to my work place.

We walked inside K.G. International and sat down in my office.

Jiho kept quiet for a long time. "And...what do you have to do at the moment?"

I scratched my back. "I'm often quickly done with my requests and all I have to do is the organizing stuff here, like phoning around and telling people how their work is going on here and...yeah."

He nodded in silence and somebody gently knocked on my door.

"Neh?" I looked at the opening door and spotted Jonggyu immediately. "Jonggyu!" my face lit up madly, happy he smiled at me again. Maybe he was just a bit moody at that moment or had something very important work to do.

I stood up and Jiho did so, too.

"Gyu! Meet Woo Jiho! He's the friend with the cat I told you about!" my smile faded lightly but as soon as Jonggyu slowly approached Jiho with a genuine smile, my grin was back on. "Mi Jonggyu. I'm one of Yeonnie's closest and best friends."

"You're my bestest, idiot." I tsk-ed and flipped my hair back.

Jonggyu eyed Jiho suspiciously. "Aren't you the one asking me if I knew where her office is?" Jiho chuckled as a response. "Uh, yeah I guess...then this must be your office." he pointed towards it and Jonggyu answered with a short, firm "mmhm". I elbowed him as I walked next to Jonggyu, but he hugged me around my waist. "And when where you planning on telling me you have an affair while dating me?"

Both, Jiho and my expression dropped and I stuttered. "J-Jonggyu...what the heck are you talking about?!"

He just laughed it off and smiled at me. "Just being me...the idiot."

"Aw~" I beamed back and looked at Jiho whose glance was on his feet. "Jiho? Are you alright?"

"What? Oh yeah...just looked at...my shoes." Jiho bit his lip and I tilted my head with a sarcastic smile. "Are they interesting?" He looked at me with an emotionless face and I laughed at him. Something poked my waist and I jerked on my spot. 

"Now guess what came in when you were gone." Jonggyu slyly smirked and I clapped my hands. "Results?!"

"Exactly!"

I began to cheer. "Where are they?! Where are they?!"

"In my office, I'll go get them!" Jonggyu sprinted off and I hit Jiho's chest mockingly. "Smile, Jiho! The results are here again! I hope we'll manage it!"

His face brightened up a bit more and so did mine. Jonggyu came inside at that moment and I jumped away from Jiho to get the little folder out of Jonggyu's hands.

"I'll leave again, okay?" I nodded and he kissed my cheek. "Have fun, princess. I looked inside already."

I caressed his cheek shortly. "Aw~ if you're saying it like that it feels positive, but I shouldn't get my hopes up this high!"

"Good luck, Yeonnie ah!" he held up both thumbs and left again.

I walked back to Jiho and the white folder with the two black straps on top and back to hold the file together. "We've come so far with our company...I hope it won't end here."

"And what's in here?" Jiho asked and I hastily looked at him before replying, opening it. "A long assessment about my work, my original work, since they copy all transmittals, and the result, of course. Wah, Jiho I'm so excited!"

"Then hurry up! Look through it!" he stood beside me, biting his lip hard and I simply looked through the little amount of extra-sheets.

"The assessment sounds really good!" Jiho remarked and I sighed before looking at the last side. "But what if it's just good and not really good...what if it does not suffice?" he smiled next to me and shook his head. "Just look...I'm here if you want to cry."

I huffed loudly. "I'm a grown-up woman, grown-up women don't cry!"

He stifled a laugh and I just turned over to the last piece of paper.

I needed some time to read the introduction of the sheet but I started screaming as I saw that all, so, also the work of my co-workers, got accepted as well again. I threw my hands around Jiho's neck and bounced up and down in joy. "Jiho we got it again! We got it!"

As I pulled away I kissed his cheek hurriedly. "Jiho, we got it! You helped me with this one, remember?! Thank you so much!"

I re-read the comment that was only for me, since after the result they'd write something down for every person individually. Suddenly I felt warm lips on my cheek, too and saw Jiho pulling away again. "Congratulation, Yeonnie ah."

My face heated up and I tried to shake a feeling off of me that made me dizzy and vertiginous somehow. I quickly let a smile cross my face again. "I-I'm so happy! I was really afraid of loosing this round. Like I said, we'd never have reached this far. I even heard this from some of my co-workers before I started working here."

He nodded with a dazzling smile and I rubbed my neck. "Ehm...I'd have to work until six today, so are y-"

"I can wait here." Jiho cut me and I blinked at him, slightly puzzled. I had to ask again. "What?" A cheeky smile was thrown at me. "I'll stay here, you can't make me leave."

He seemed very stubborn today, so I just pursed my lips and started working again, doing my usual job.

Narrator;

"I'll leave!" you screamed into the last office that crossed your path next to the elevator. It belonged to a young worker, just like you, called Jo Minki.

"Have a good rest-day!" Minki shouted back and you shortly waved at him before closing the door.

"I'll bring you home." somebody said behind you and you held your chest as you started laughing, noticing that Jiho was still with you. "Holy shi- You scared me!"

You saw him pouting and answering desolately. "Did you already forget me?"

You shook your head although he was right, but you were just used to his presence. Before you could bring out a sound Jiho cut you, linking your arm into his. "I'll walk you home."

"Don't you have your car here?" you wondered and he shook his head. "Nope...I thought I wouldn't be in the need for that." You just slowly nodded and walked with him out of the big building.

You were about to arrive at your house as you heard Jiho in breath to start speaking but no sound came from him, so you turned to him. Jiho just quickly shook his head, letting out the oxygen again.

Carefully you just shrugged your shoulders and arrived your door.

"Thank you for bringing me home." you smiled and he casually put his hands into his pockets. "Well, I don't want you lying on the streets and hurt...I'm just being social."

You let out a small nasal laughter. "Social."

"Yah!" he slightly shouted but it turned into a soft chuckle. "Okay...how about meeting tomorrow? Tomorrow evening? At my house, or somewhere?"

A nod was your reply and he smiled in daze, biting the left side of his lip. "Kay, uhm, I'll leave then." he tried to break the awkwardness yet it still hung in the air. You looked at Jiho and he leaned forward, kissing your cheek tenderly. As he stepped back his head spun backwards to his right side and so did his whole body, leaving you staring after him. Your hand slowly touched your cheek. It heated up and also your heart beat fastened.

Inhaling was at the edge of not existing yet you managed to catch a breath as you opened the door, entering your house.

In this time, Jiho was on his way home and smiled the entire way.

FLASHBACK, JIHO;

I snickered crazily after the man tripped and fell flat on his face although he just told his friend something else. I heard a small whine next to me and looked with a smile over to Yeunja. She was asleep and my heart softened immediately. slowly opened but shut again.

I tilted my head to take a better look at her. She was the most gorgeous and most warm-hearted girl I got to know...and I knew a lot...a whole lot.

Yeunja began to stir a bit and curled up tighter to my chest. My heart welled up with a warm feeling and I pressed my lips carefully against her forehead. My breath came out flat and I smiled unknowingly. "Good night, Yeunja...I love you."

I turned off the TV and slid my hand around her waist. Since her head fell onto my shoulder some time ago already, I just rested mine on top of hers as well.
