The karaoke bar was just around the corner so we just walked. Everyone was excited and I couldn't help but smile along the way. People who passed by us would maybe think that we're a bunch of friends going to have a good time. I didn't bother looking behind because I know what I might get. We arrived at the karaoke bar soon and we rented a room. Tae Yang and the others started punching songs and singing like crazy, even the 2NE1 girls. Seeing them like that makes me realize that they live a normal life outside the stage.

Then my phone rang. I excused myself and ran outside, accidentally bumping Ji Yong who's on the way in the room. I apologized, but he ignored and stood by the door. 

"Hello?" 

"Jiyonn!" It was Mom. I didn't tell her I was out late. "Where in the world are you?" She was speaking in English, and she usually spoke that way when she's worried. Oh no.

What do I tell her, what? I was starting to panic. I don't think they even know that I went to meet Young Gi. From the corner of my eye, I saw Ji Yong nudge. "I'm out with friends. There's no need for you to worry." I replied, in English. "Anyway, I have some good news to tell you later!"

"Okay, but give me a call when you're going home." She said.

"Okay, Mom I love you. Bye!" I said, ending the call and walking back to the room. 

"What a very kind daughter," He said, opening the door for me, laughing.

"Shut up. And I don't need you opening the door for me." I said, going back to my seat next to Minzy. He took his seat between Dara and Seungri. Later on, he and Dara sang "Hello" while everyone cheered and I clapped. But I feel a teeny bit, I don't know, jealous? Like there was a need to be. 

"Hey, let's have our newbie sing!" Tae Yang said, giving me the mic. 

"Wait--" I said, giving it back, but he was already punching numbers on the machine.

"Ha! Say goodbye to SM, and say hello to YG!" Daesung said, dancing. The music started, and it was f(x)'s Step By Me. Biased much? Well, it is my welcoming party, so I don't complain. I stood up and started singing, swaying to the beat.

Next thing I know, everyone was on their feet dancing, even Seung Hyun, who said he wasn't a good dancer. It sure did boost up confidence. We danced to some some more songs until we were all practically dancing like crazy.

"You ain't bad, Jiyonn!" CL said, giving me a high-five. I thanked her and gave her a high-five, too.

"Thanks!" 

We sang some more, and drunk wine and some other drinks I do not know what, so I guess I'm breaking the rules now. But hey, I'm at the right age to get drunk or something, so I grab the opportunity.

They say time goes fast when you enjoy it, and it's right. I checked my watch and it was 10:00. What.

"Sorry, but I think I have to go now." I said, looking awkward.

"Aw why?" Almost everyone replied.

"Young Gi said my training starts at 7 tomorrow, and..." I don't even know what I'm saying. 

Ji Yong laughed. I glared at him. "She's right. Manager hyung doesn't even know we're here." 

Am I deaf or did I just hear him agree with what I said? Well, it's normal, I guess. Don't mind him, Jiyonn.

"I'm really sorry guys." I said, bowing. 

"Naw, it's okay." Bom replied. "You had fun did you?"

I nodded. "Of course, I did." We went outside and went back to the building since most of their things are still there. I called my Mom.

"Mom? I'm going home now." I asked. 

"Hey--"

"Oh Mom I'm really sorry for not telling--" The others looked at me with a puzzled expression. They didn't expect their new junior to be a mama's girl, did they?

"Geez, Jiyonn, what's up with you?" She laughed. She was actually laughing while here I am panicking about what she might say. "You're at the right age to go out with friends, you told me yesterday, right? What I meant earlier, you should've at least called and told me you were out. Oh well, have fun!" And she ended the call, just like that. I don't even know if that's something good. 

"O~kay." I said, staring at the phone. Seungri asked me if something was wrong.

"Nothing, really." I smiled. We arrived at the building and went our own ways. I went back to my practice room and practically dropped my bag. 

"So much for bringing my bag. I never knew we'd return back." I looked at the mirror, the room, the window and lastly, myself.

"Your first day as a trainee, Jiyonn. I don't even know if I'd praise you for doing a good job. I went to a corner and changed into a pair of jeans and my red hoodie quickly. I took out my planner and wrote down.

'My first day as a trainee. Went to karaoke with 2NE1 and Big Bang.'

I smiled to myself as I kept the planner. As I was fixing my things, I couldn't help but giggle, squeal and laugh in excitement.

"Hii~ I'm actually here. I can't believe it!" I said, rolling on the floor laughing, literally. I felt like a kid about to have her birthday as I giggled and squealed. While I was in the middle of my "happy time", someone knocked on the open door. Whoops, I guess I forgot to close the door.

"Hey you," someone said. I got up and hugged my bag, a hundred percent alert. That person came in and it was Ji Yong, carrying his bag. "Everyone has already left. Only some trainees are left behind."

"Okay." I said, still packing my things. He raised his eyebrow. I gave him a clueless expression.

"Let's go, hurry up." He said, leaving the room. 

"What?" I asked, dragging my bag and following him outside.

"They told me to bring you home." 

"Well you could've just lied and told them I left."

"You were squealing and rolling on the floor, how could I lie?" He laughed. My eyes went wide in horror. I buried my face in my bag. Thankfully, I made it through the building silent. 

"I won't tell anyone anyway so you can speak up." He said, when we were out. I kept my distance from him ever since he said that. "Wear your bag properly, you look like a kid."

"Fine, fine," I said, fumbling with my bag. This is the first time I was walking alone with a guy, I swear, which made me awkward, nervous and all. Silence was all over the place, neither of us spoke about anything. It was getting to awkward. Out of the blue, I said, "I'll just take a taxi or bus home." But he didn't respond; he kept walking. How kind. I walked towards the other direction, heading for the bus stop when I felt him grabbing my hand. 

"Let go." I said. But he didn't, his eyes were fixed on mine, giving me goosebumps. I avoided his stare and looked somewhere else, pulling my hand away. The situation got a bit awkward and he let of my arm. 

"Fine." He said, walking away.

"What, fine?" I asked, following him.

"Take the bus, taxi, whatever. I'll go back to the dorm on my own." He didn't even bother looking at the person he's talking to.

"Fine, okay." I said, running to the bus station, not looking back, nor saying "good bye". I tried not to sleep on my way home and when I got home, everyone was asleep. So much for my good news, I said, collapsing on my bed. So much for being friendly...
