Chapter 24 “Meet” 

Miki and Kazumi's classes had finally resumed so they didn't have much time to spend with JUMP.

Later on a Saturday night, Miki was at home watching TV when her brother came and asked her what she would be doing tomorrow.

"I'm not really sure what I would be doing tomorrow. My friends have not contacted me if we would be going somewhere.”

“Oh okay. I’ll be going out tomorrow.”

“Where will you be going?”

“I’m not very sure but I will be meeting Shia.”

“Ah, okay. Can I tag along with you?”

“Well, that’s if it’s okay with her. Let me try and ask her.”

Miki’s brother sat on the couch and watched TV while he sent a message to Shia. A few minutes later, he got a reply.

“She says that it’s okay for you to come.”

“Wee! What time will we meet her tomorrow?”

“11 am.”

“Okay then. I’ll go to sleep then. See you in the morning.”

                Miki woke up in the morning and got ready to go out. An hour later, they were both set and they left the house. It was now 10:30 am and they went to Melvin Jones Grandstand to wait for Shia. While waiting, Miki got a call from Inoo.

“Good morning! Are you busy right now?”

“I’m not busy today. Why?”

 “Let’s go out.”

“Well, I’m with my brother right now and he’s supposed to meet his girlfriend. I’m just tagging along with them so it’s kind of lonely. If you want, you can come.”

“I’m on my way out right now. Where will I meet you?”

“We’re here in front of Melvin Jones Grandstand. I’ll tell my brother so we’ll wait for you here.”

“Don’t worry; I won’t take long to go there. See you then! Love you!”

“Love you too!”

Just as soon as the call ended, Miki asked her brother if they could wait a little longer. She told him also that she wanted him to meet someone. Her brother questioned her but she said that he’ll wait and see.

                Inoo arrived a few minutes later.

                Miki ran and wrapped her arms around him, “There’s someone I would want you to meet.”

She held his hand and took him to meet his brother.

“Who’s he?” His brother asked her.

“I’d like you to meet Kei Inoo.”

His brother brought out his hand and shook hands with Inoo, “My name’s Keele. I’m Miki’s older brother.”

“It’s nice to meet you. I’m your sister’s boyfriend.”

                Keele glanced at Miki and all she could do was smile.

“I see. When did you become her boyfriend?”

“Just last New Year’s Eve”

Keele nodded.

“Now that we’re all here, where do you want to go?” Keele asked as he looked at the two girls.

“Anywhere is fine” Shia replied.

“Same here” Miki added.

“It seems that you girls don’t know where you want to go” Keele told them.

“Going anywhere is okay with me since Kei is here with me.”

“Okay then, let’s walk around the park while the two of you think of a place you want to go to.”

Miki nodded and the two of them walked ahead.

Keele and Shia walked behind the two, watching them as they conversed.

Inoo: “I haven’t seen you eversince your classes resumed.”

Miki: “Well, we can’t really avoid that can we?”

“Somehow you’re right. I miss you.”

“I miss you too. That’s why it made me really happy when you called.”

“So, where do you want to go to?”

“It doesn’t matter much where it is our feet will take us. As long as I can spend time with you I’m happy.”

                A few minutes later, Keele called the attention of Miki.

“It’s almost noon. Where do you want to eat?”

Miki turned to Inoo and asked him the same question.

“I’ll treat you to wherever it is you want to eat in.” he replied.

Miki turned to her brother and he began suggesting different food establishments.

“KFC is okay with me. How about you guys?”

They all nodded so the 4 of them left the park and headed for KFC.

                After eating, Shia whispered something to Keele.

“What is it?” Miki asked.

                “Shia says that she has some business to attend to.”

“Is that so?”

                “Yup. We’ll be leaving first.”

Once again, Inoo brought out his hand and shook hands with Keele, “It was nice meeting you.”

                Keele looked glanced at Miki, then back at Inoo, “It was nice meeting you too. I’m sorry if we have to leave first. And oh, take care of my little sister.”

“Don’t worry, I will.”

                The two spent their time together until it was almost 6 pm. Inoo brought Miki home early since she still had classes the next day.
