I turned off the Bunsen burner before turning my back to face her.

Hora pointed to the large test tube that she left it burning with the Bunsen Burner, “Banjang, how long would the reaction take?” Hora asked.

I observed her test tube and said, “Probably 1 minute.”

Usually the Seo family and Kang family doesn’t really talk a lot.

Hora looked at me with a deathly glare, “I really hate you for being so popular in school.” She said abruptly.

Just then, she knocked down the test tube that is near to my hand and.. 

The hot boiling chemicals spilled directly on my hand, “Ah..” I wanted to scream but I didn't.

Just a soft whimper came out of my mouth and tears filled my eyes.
 

Hora was then scorched as well due to the explosive chemical reactions that caused the liquid to overflow out from the test tube.

The test tube burst and broken pieces of glass are scattered.

The disposable glove that I wore was no use against that hot chemical, but still..

“What's wrong with you!” I grabbed her hand and, the tap and had her hand to be under the cooling running water.

 

DongWoon and Yoon Seonsaengnim rushed here as well.

The lab technician came out to clear the table and Yoon Seonsaengnim had that student to move outside the laboratory.

DongWoon looked at me, “Gwaenchanayo?” He asked.

I nodded and hid my right hand away from him, “Go attend to Hora, I am fine. I still need to settle the class down.” I said.

 

DongWoon then went out, I looked at my right hand and then had it cooled down under running water.

Chae Rin, the Lab technician, noticed that I was hurt, “Min Ah, why are you hurt as well? What happened?” She asked.

I felt a loss of energy, “Unnie, I am fine. Sorry to trouble you for taking of those.” I said.

“It's my job to do that, but your hand is my utmost concern now. You got scorched by the chemicals? It doesn't seem to be legible here, you have never made a mistake before.” Chae Rin was really surprised.

She went to get ice for me, “Did anything happen between you and Hora?” She asked.

“Hora ssi had some family issues these days, I guess she was somehow annoyed.” I said.

“Min Ah, can you don't always put others before yourself? Can you at least be selfish sometimes?” Unnie said and she had an ice-bag placed on my hand.

The other classmates overheard my words and they agreed with unnie as well, “Banjang, Hora ssi has always been having a bad mood ever since she stepped into this school, must you always be accommodating to her?” A classmate said so.

 

YoSoeb and EunJi came by, both looked at how badly scald my hand was, “Omo~ Min Ah, don't you feel pain at all?” Eunji was already on the verge of crying.

Just another note, EunJi and I are as though sisters in class, we had a good relationship and also, we share the same interest for many things.

“I wasn't thinking that much at that point of time.” I said, “Mianhae, making all of you worried, I am fine, I felt better.”

Unnie gently touched my hand and I screamed, that pain was really unbearable..

“And you call this okay? I got to bring you to the medical room, guys, you all listen to EunJi.” Unnie got me out of the laboratory.

EunJi is the BuBanjang.

*BuBanjang means assistant Class Representative*

Unnie and I arrived at the medical room and Hora was there as well.

“Son Seonsaengnim, could you allow me to hold onto your hand while the nurse applies the medicine?” Hora asked.

DongWoon nodded and they were really ambiguous..

I had a really bad feeling when I saw them so intimately, “Lee KiKwang! Where are you?” Unnie shouted for the doctor.

Lee KiKwang came out behind the blinds with black framed specs and with a white robe.

“Yah! Lee Chae Rin! Do you think my clinic is your house? How could you be shouting so loudly?” He said.

I was sitting down just like how unnie instructed me to, “Someone is injured by the chemicals, urgent matters.” Chae Rin unnie said.

KiKwang oppa and Chae Rin unnie are siblings, KiKwang oppa is older than unnie by 2 years old.

 

KiKwang came by to look at my injuries, “How on Earth did you scorch yourself this badly!” He was shocked as well.

And then, KiKwang started by injecting anaesthetics.

“Is it really serious?” I asked.

KiKwang looked at me, “Now then you are afraid?” He asked.

“Ani, I am worried about the class now.” I said, “Also.. Hora ssi ga, gwaenchanayo?” I asked.

We are in a room and so, people out there wouldn't be able to see or even hear me.

 

KiKwang nodded, “Your injuries are way much more serious than hers. It would be bad if it leaves a scar.” He said.

KiKwang and Chae Rin are really good to me, we knew each other since many years ago due to our family relations.

“Oppa, geokjeonghaji maseyo. Maljjanghaeyo.” I said.

“Hora really is too much, how could she be deliberately pouring the chemicals on your hand?!” Chae Rin unnie grudged and ranted, “Oppa~ why did you even attend to her?”

KiKwang was struck by his dongsaeng's words, “Jeongmal? Hora is the one who did this to Min Ah?” He asked.

Chae Rin nodded, “I just knew it as well. That spoilt girl, how could she dare to hurt Min Ah? Isn't she aware of who Min Ah is?” She said.

KiKwang stood up and said, “Stay here and I have to settle something first.” He said and went out of the room.

“Unnie, will everything be fine?” I asked.

“Just seat here and I am sure everything would be fine.” Chae Rin said.

KiKwang went over to Hora who is now with Son DongWoon, “Hora, you may go back to class now. That small patch of injury is no big case.” He said.

“Seonsaengnim, but you said I could have my rest.” Hora rebutted.

KiKwang shook his head, “Do you treat my clinic as your house? Go back to class now.” He said sternly and then took a glance at Son DongWoon.

 

Then KiKwang came back to check out my injuries, while trying his best to make me feel better.

My hand was then wrapped, “I will make a trip to your house later.” KiKwang said.

“Oppa, Sorry to trouble you.” I felt apologetic.

KiKwang shook his head, “It's an honour.” He said.

 

I went back to class, YoSeob and EunJi rushed to stand in front of me, “Min Ah, gwaenchanayo?” They asked, both are really worried about me.

I nodded, “Ne, I had anaesthetics injected so I don’t feel the pain now.” I said.

“I shall bring this stack of documents to the Staffs' Room then, you take a rest.” EunJi said.

“Komawo.” I said.

 

I saw Hora seating at her seat, and I remembered that scene whereby Son DongWoon and her was so...

“Gross.” This word came out of my mouth.

“Gross? What's gross? Who’s gross? Me?” YoSeob heard me.

I shook my head, “Aniyo, YoSeob, aniyo. I was referring to something else.” I said.

And since this is the last lesson of the day, we all simply waited for the bell to ring and then some classmates left the class straightaway.

“YoSeob, I would have to make a trip to the Staffs' Room and account for myself for not being able to finish the practical just now.” I said.

YoSeob stood up as well, “I will follow.” He said.

I stopped him, “I will just be going to the staff room and then I will be going back home straight after it.” I said.

 

I made my way to the Staffs' Room and saw Yoon Seonsaengnim right away.

I passed him the medical slip and apologized.

DongWoon appeared just then, “Min Ah, what happened to your hand?” He asked.

I turned and looked at him, “It's not for you to care. ” I said.

There aren’t many people around and hence I dared to say so.

DongWoon pulled me to aside and looked at me in the eyes, “I am your husband and so I have the rights to care.” He said.
