The next morning, after the first class, Kyu walked to me and sighed.

"Um, Ama."

"Yeah?"

"What did you do to Siwon? He didn't come to class this morning."

I took my most innocent face. "Siwon? Who is that?"

"... Mr. Jerk."

"Oh, that thing. Well, dead, of course."

“… Ama, that’s not funny. He skipped the first class. Do you know why?”

I had a tiny idea of what he had been doing this morning, but I wouldn’t tell Kyu. He didn’t need to know that. “You’ll see when he’ll be here. And when he’ll find Bee, who’ll probably be with us. See, she’s coming. And…”

I smirked when I saw him enter the school with flowers in his hands. Probably not flowers he had bought, or else they would’ve been in a plastic or something. He walked to Bee and, without taking the time to take off his coat, he put a knee on the floor in front of her and gave her the flowers. “I’m sorry for yesterday. I didn’t mean to make you cry… I’m sorry. I really appreciate you. And… and…”

I was staring at him. Say it. Say it. SAY IT.

“… and I want to try loving someone again. Let’s learn more about each other first… and then we’ll see? Is that okay with you?”

Bee had frozen.

“… Bee?”

“… Judyth. Please call me Judyth.”

With Kyu gone to the toilet, he had missed that. Poor guy. Today wouldn’t be the day he would learn about Bee’s name. I smiled, watched and listened. Mr. Jerk was smiling softly. He got up and took Bee’s hand. “Let’s… let’s talk about it somewhere else. Okay?”

Don’t even ask her. She was so happy that she had completely frozen.

Bee’s POV

I didn’t think he would come and see me again. Especially after what he had told me the day before. Especially after what Ama had done to him – yeah, I knew about that too, Kyuhyun had told me. And I didn’t think Ama would’ve let him do that. Unless she was the one…? That could make sense.

But to think that he would come and see me with flowers…

I followed him.

I didn’t hesitate. I followed him. I didn’t care about the class after that. I just wanted to skip class with him. Though, probably we would be done before class started. Anyways. I didn’t care. I followed him. I followed him outside and we sat on a bench where people wouldn’t come. He saw that I was cold again and hugged me once more, making me blush. I sighed. “Why… why did you change your mind?”

“You have a very dedicated friend.”

Oh, Ama…

“Really,” I a bit, making him smile.

“Yeah. She… she wants you to be happy. And she knows more that I thought she knew. She knows that I appreciate you and that I don’t really have a reason to stop learning about you. Since she wants you to be happy more than anyone, she’s ready to make everybody else suffer if she needs to. If it’s for your happiness. So she told me a lot of things, you know. And she convinced me to try knowing more about you. Not because she would command me to, but because I would want that.”

“And… do you want that? Don’t be with me if you don’t want to.”

“I want it. I really wanted to know more about you… but I didn’t want to hurt you. Love hurts, you know.”

I chuckled. “I know.”

“But in the end, it’s useless, isn’t it? I appreciate you. As a friend, for now. And I’ll learn more about you. Maybe it’ll turn into something deeper.”

“Maybe.”

“Will you forgive me? For being stupid, yesterday.”

I brightly smiled. “Of course. I love you. I love you a lot. I don’t mind if you end up not loving me in the end… but to know that you’ll try knowing more about me, it’s okay with me. Just don’t do that only because of Ama, okay?”

“Okay.”

“Oh, and I forgot. I’ll forgive you at only one condition.”

“One condition?”

“I want the same thing you gave me yesterday.”

He stayed silent for a while, trying to remember, before he understood and smiled. His lips delicately touched my forehead and I felt his warm breath on my skin. “Of course, my Lady.”
