I lied on my bed, staring at my ceiling fan.

I closed my eyes.

“Realise what?” I asked Dongwoon. “Are you checking me out or something?”

He chuckled, “You bet.” He leaned forward me, looking into my eyes. Then he said, “You have puffy eyes. I presume you cried a lot.”

I shoved him away with my right hand, “Yea. Thanks to you. I cried like, every day when you broke my Barbie’s leg.”

He looked at me with confusion, the he laughed. “What Barbie? Are you imagining playing Barbie doll with me? You little girl.”

I made a fishy face, “No I’m not.” I snapped. “What, you think that a hard material doll can do a back hand flip like those flexible cheerleaders? What a wild thought.”

“Stop joking around.” He chuckled and rubbed my head, “I don’t get your point here.”

“You’re Woonie right? The little brat who Aunt Kim brings around to my house every weekend.”

He just stared at me blankly, confused.

“Oh come on. Stop staring at me like that.”

He leaned on the kitchen counter, shaking his head. “You get the wrong boy here.”

“What do you mean?”

He chuckled again, “That must be Dongha. It can’t be me.”

“But—but you’re Woonie!”

He sighed, “Girl, you must be confused with Dongie and Woonie. It rhymes doesn’t it? You must’ve been thinking about me a lot that you made a mistake.”

I blushed. “No I didn’t. I remember perfectly. It’s Woonie.”

He argued back, saying that’s impossible.

We argued, both defending our point.

Then, he said something that makes me shuts.

“Because... I’m adopted.”
