“Yah—moves aside will you?” I elbowed Dongwoon, not knowing which part of him that I hit. We were in a dark cramped closet. Stucked. Not exactly stuck, but I was DARED. Darn the stupid head coin.

We sat down.

“Why must we play this game?” Dongwoon grunted. I can feel his breath just right beside my left ear. Our skin touched, his warm transferred through my skin. The closet can barely fit us both, that we have to squeeze ourselves together. Just to satisfy them. Gosh. Why must Dongwoon?

“Haish. I’m gonna make them pay for this.” He louder his voice, right exactly at my eardrum. I endured. Then he continues again, “I should have been in bed right now. Maybe dream about Narsha unnie or S.H.E. Darn it. Why must I end up being dared while this is supposed to be your punishment? Not me. This is not--”

“Can you just shut up!?” I snapped, turned to him, even though I can’t really see, plus, I’m night blinded. The world will be completely dark when there’s no light. I will be like a blind man. But I can feel his hot breath right before my face.

My heart thumped.

The awkward moment came. We stayed silent for a few moments, hearing the girls and guys laughing outside. Continuing with their game, while I stuck here with this stupid ert!

“This is enough. 5 Minute won’t be this long. They’re making fun of us.” He tried to open the closet door.

“You know...” he took a deep breath, “My omma is sick right now. Cancer. It has been almost a month since I last visit her at the hospital. I am too occupied with work. My hyung took care of omma. He called me last night, saying that—“he sniffed, “—omma is getting weaker. I miss her.”

Suddenly, I can feel his head weight on my shoulder. His hair brushed on my cheek. His wet cheek damped on my sleeves. I brushed his hair, “It’s alright. We’ll visit her when we reach back to Seoul. She’ll be okay.”

My heart softened. Here, lied on my shoulder, a joyless guy who misses his omma. Oh Lord, please heal Dongwoon’s omma. And so does the other patient.I prayed and we stayed there until we dozed off.
