Five
HerI immediately stood up and went straight to her room. "I thought you were going to leave me alone."
"I already did, didn't I? But...yeah." she didn't finish her sentence but I know she changed her mind. My lips automatically formed a small smile knowing Jessica cares a little about me.
This is the first time I get to see her full room and it's much simpler compared to Tiffany's. It smells nice in here, too.
"Why are you just standing there?"
"You have a nice room." I said, still observing everything around.
"I know." she simply said. "Come here, it's annoying to see you standing." she tapped her bed. I sat on it while she lays, busy scrolling through her phone.
"Who's that?" I asked upon seeing the picture frame on the wall. I can tell Jessica is the other one.
"My sister."
"Oh, pretty. You both are." I said as I scan the other photo of Jessica alone hanging right beside. She looks like a barbie.
I remained quiet for a while for I didn't have anything to say anymore. I can feel myself about to black out anytime now.
"You can lay down if you want." I suddenly heard her say. My back is still facing her.
"Well, if you say so." I layed down beside her and relaxed my body. Her bed is so soft, I might consider buying something like this in the future.
I turned to her side and look at her for a while. Her eyes still glued to her phone. "I know I'm pretty but you don't have to stare too much."
I let out a chuckle and I can see her holding her laughter. I don't know why but my eyes are still fixed on her. "Stop staring, idiot." she put her hand on my face attempting to cover my eyes.
"Sorry." I apologized.
"You told me you're bad at lying. What was that earlier?" Jessica asked, recalling what I said earlier during lunch. "I wanted to laugh when you said that."
"I am, really. But that lie wasn't exactly for Tiffany, right?" I said, coolly. "I want him to think I'm not impressed with his cooking." I made her laugh.
"It was delicious, though." Jessica said, making my eyes roll playfully. I turned my back against her, pretending to be annoyed.
