Twenty-Seven
HerTIFFANY's POV
With each passing day, I like how things between me and Taeyeon are starting to feel like the good old times again. Ever since I broke up with that guy, everything came back to normal for both me and her. Apart from everything, I'm thankful she gave me a second chance because I swear, I would never do the same thing twice. I started to focus on rebuilding my relationship with her, on myself and my studies.
Sadly, today, Taeyeon won't be able to come over because she's sick and she insists on staying in our unit to avoid us from getting sick too. I apologized since I have to go to class first before I can visit her. Thankfully, my schedule for today will only last for 5 hours.
I immediately made my way to the drug store to buy her meds once I'm finished with classes. I also bought take out food for her to eat.
"I'll buy dinner again later." I mumbled as I look at the take out food and went straight to her dorm. She told me she left the door unlocked so I wouldn't have call her to open it.
There, she lays on her bed with a towel on her forehead. I put down my bag and quickly checked on her temperature with my hand. "Oh my god, you're burning up."
"Oh hey, you're here." she weakly uttered once she opened her eyes.
"Can you sit up? You need to eat so you can drink meds." she didn't say anything and slowly moved her body to sit. I helped her adjust so she can sit comfortably.
"Hold on, I'll sponge you first." I damped the washcloth and wipe it all over her face, neck and arms in an attempt to lower her fever.
"Wow, you even bought me food and meds." she said after seeing what's on her desk. I looked over to where the desk was and there indeed placed food and medicines.
I didn't buy that. What I bought for Taetae is still in my bag.
Then a specific someone came into my mind. She's the only one who'll know because I mentioned it earlier. Jessica.
She came here before me and Taeyeon didn't know? There's really something fishy about her recently. Jessica is one of the laziest people I know, heck, even Krystal always end up forcing her to come with her when necessary. For her to do this, it must've meant something more. I can never be wrong, she's my best friend. She wouldn't do this much for me.
"I really appreciate you being here, Fany-ah. Thank you." Tae gave me smile which I gladly return.
I don't know why but I felt off about it so I didn't tell Taeyeon it wasn't from me. What if my suspicion is true? Is it really possible for Jessi to like a girl? Then I also thought of myself. Why would I feel bitter about it? Even if it turns out she likes Taeyeon, what's it to me and why don't I like the thought of it?
I'm not jealous, am I?
"I'll be the one to take care of you this time." I caressed her cheek before I gave her the food Jessica bought since Taeyeon have already seen it. I'll be eating the one I bought in our unit later.
"What about you? Have you eaten?" she asked before shoving a spoon in . I nodded as a response.
"Are you sure you don't want to stay in the apartment? I can take care of you better in there." I continue to convince her. "I want to stay here but I can't because I don't have something to sleep on."
"I'm okay here. I don't want to be a burden to you, Fany-ah. I know you're busy with school stuff." she said weakly.
"No matter how busy I am, I'll make sure to look after you. And I can always check on you there." I held her forearm. "Have you forgotten everything you did for me?"
She finally gave in. "Okay but I'll sleep on the sofa, not next to you."
I smiled at her. "Okay."
I packed some of her stuff while she's eating so we can l
