HerTAEYEON's POV
I just got back to my dorm after doing a group project on somebody else's house. I checked my phone once I layed on my bed and to my disappointment, still nothing from Tiffany. Know that whenever we argue, I'm always the first one to reach out but no, not this time.
I haven't done anything wrong. I want her to realize that.
With nothing else to do, I took a quick bath and was preparing to watch a movie when I received a text message. My heart started to race, automatically assuming it's from Tiffany. Did she finally realize that I was right?
Surprisingly, the text message was from Jessica asking if I'm up for dinner because something awful happened. I immediately agreed to meet her in the said restaurant and have myself fixed before leaving. It was a 15-minute ride from my dorm and I must say, this is one heck of a crowded restaurant but then I remember that Sica said she already made a reservation. I only have to ask for her name and it's all good and that's exactly what happened.
I texted her that I'm already here but got no reply from her. Maybe she didn't have time to check her phone but it didn't worry me at all. I know she's coming.
What could've possibly happened? I hope she'll be okay. I kept on tapping my fingers onto the table as I wait and think about her. Just last night, I was the one who needs comforting and now it's like we switched places but I genuinely hope it's not something that would bother her for a long time.
About 5 minutes later when I heard her call my name. She was standing not so far from the table so I made my way to greet her. She looked surprised and wasn't responding when I asked her what happened then I figured it would be best if I let her talk when she's ready. I sat her down and waited for her to get comfortable. Her sister whom I only got to see tonight wasn't able to join us and asked me if I could look after Sica. Not gonna lie, they literally look the same with the photo that's hanging on Jessica's wall. Both are beautiful and the resemblance is not hard to notice.
When our food was served, she kept on apologizing for disturbing me and started telling me about what happened earlier and how upsetting it was. The Jessica I know is totally different from the Jessica I am facing right now; she's fragile and soft spoken, almost as if embarrassed to vent to me. I don't want her to think that she can't open up to me when all she do is save me from complicated situations.
Wanting her to feel a bit more relaxed, I asked her if she wanted to go elsewhere after dinner but got asked if she could stay the night in my dorm instead. I was stunned for a moment.
Why would she want to spend the night at my dorm?
Seeing my reaction, she immediately regret asking. "I'm sorry, I don't know why-" I cut her off.
"No, no, no, it's okay." I waved a hand in front of her to let her know I don't feel weird about it. "You can stay the night."
"Really?" she asked with an excitement in her tone. The exact moment I said she can stay, it seemed like her thoughts have been washed away. It made me smile.
"Yes." I nodded my head. "Now, eat up."
Jessica's problem might not be a big deal for others but seeing how she reacted to it and how uncomfortable she had become, then it's a serious thing. Just try to imagine yourself being set up with an older man that you have no interest with. Tha
