Jinyang Lake is a reservoir covering portions of Jinju and Sacheon in Gyeongsangnamdo. It’s only the only artificial lake in the Western Gyeongnam Province, is at the confluence of the Gyeonghogang River and the Deokcheongang River. 

 

             The wide-open view toward Jirisan Mountain, the wet fog from the lake in the morning, and the captivating sunset are popular among travelers. Other attractions around the lake include parks, a watchtower, the Wishing Stair, a cypress forest, a zoo, the Namgang Dam Water Culture Museum and road trips.

 

             “Ahhh yeppeo.”, Jihyo exclaims.

 

             “It’s worth it.”, Jongkook smiles while hugging Jihyo’s shoulder. 

 

             “Oppa, gwenchana?”, Jihyo asks Jongkook and walks backward to look at Jongkook.

 

             “Mwo?”, Jongkook asks in puzzle while tilting his head.

 

             “Ani, we are going here as soon as we finished our Runningman’s shoot. And it’s took three-hour to go here. I bet you’re tired.”, Jihyo feels bad while pouting .

 

             “You feel bad after we arrived here?”, Jongkook chuckles. “Gwenchana, Jihyo. I like to spend my time with you if I have a free time. So this worth it.”, Jongkook smiles while looking around. There are not so many people since it’s weekdays. So they peacefully taking a walk at Jinyang Lake’s road.

 

             “Not spending your free time at gym?”, Jihyo challenges while raising her left eyebrows.

 

             “That’s different case.”, Jongkook chuckles. 

 

             Jihyo smiles while looking at Jongkook. She walks backward just to face Jongkook and to feel the ease as not many people there.

 

             “Ya, jusim!”, Jongkook shouts at Jongkook as she almost steps on the stone along her way. Jongkook quickly Jihyo before she falls on the ground.

 

             “Oh!”, Jihyo stumbles and rapidly grabs Jongkook jacket and hold onto him.

 

             “Ya!”, Jongkook frowns. Fortunately, he gets to save Jihyo.

 

             “Eo, oppa.”, Jihyo reliefs that her eyes almost pop out due to the shock.

 

             “Why would you walk backward? It’s dangerous.”, Jongkook frowns as he let go Jihyo from his body. He looks around and fix Jihyo’s jacket to make sure she is okay.

 

             “Ani… I just want to look at you.”, Jihyo voice getting smaller and eyes just follow Jongkook.

 

             “But, it’s dangerous. So just walk beside me, eo? Link onto my… arm or just…hold my ….hand.”, Jongkook says shyly while scratching his non-itchy head.

 

             “Arasseo. Naega mianhae.”, Jihyo smiles and pologizes at the same time. She instantly links her arm to Jongkook and looks at Jongkook who is blushing. 

 

             “Jusimhae for now, Cheon Sooyeon.”, Jongkook reminds Jihyo while grabbing Jihyo’s hand on his arm as they walk together.

 

             “It feel so great that there’s no one here, oppa.”, Jihyo says while looking around.

 

             “Maja. Somehow, it feels like we are own our world.”, Jongkook replies.

 

             “Our own world, oppa?”, Jihyo asks with her mong face looking at Jongkook.

 

             “Eo, our own world.”, Jongkook nods.

 

             “What does it mean?”, Jihyo asks in puzzle.

 

             “It feel like we don’t have to bother about people around us while we are having our date. Just… act like a normal person. Not as celebrities. I mean, no rumors, no paparazzi, no gossips among us.”, Jongkook smiles while looking at Jihyo.

 

             “Eo. Now I understand. Hajiman, our secret dating that we’ve been keep for years somehow thrilling, oppa.”, Jihyo admits.

 

             “Nado.”, Jongkook chuckles. 

 

             “Are you still holding on, oppa?”, Jihyo asks.

 

             “Holding on?”, Jongkook asks back.

 

             “Ani, I thought you would get sick of me. I decide us to just dating without getting married since I’m not ready.”, Jihyo voice getting smaller. She starts to look on the ground.

 

             “Ya! I told you numerous times already. Though I want kids with you, if this is not the time then I won’t.”, Jongkook replies in dissatisfy. They immediately stop walking and look at each other, though Jihyo is looking on the ground.

 

             “How can you say that when you wanting to get married and have kids as soon?”, Jihyo pouts. Her feet is tingling on the ground.

 

             “Ya Cheon Sooyeon. If you talk like this just because of what I said in tv, then it’s wrong. I just said that so that people won’t suspect me. Won’t suspect me that I’ve been dating with someone. I even told my mom.”, Jongkook assures while peeking at Jihyo.

 

             “Eomonim?”, Jihyo raises her head to look at Jongkook upon hearing Jongkook mentioning his mom.

 

             “Eo. I told my mom that I won’t get married if you don’t want to. I respect your decision and I will do anything to make you happy. No, I mean, ‘us’.”, Jongkook explains.

 

             “What did eomonim said?”, Jihyo asks in curious. Just what Jongkook’s mom said to Jongkook’s statement.

 

             “She’s okay. Appa ddo. They said as long as we are happy. And I even said that having you in my house seems like we are already getting married. Coming back from work and looking at you lying on my couch waiting for me feels like a home, Cheon Sooyeon.”, Jongkook smiles while touching Jihyo’s shoulder.

 

             “Are you okay living like this?”, Jihyo asks to make sure.

 

             “Living like ‘this’?”, Jongkook tilts his head.

 

             “Eo. Living together but not getting married. And no…. kids….”, Jihyo stutters and looking on the ground again.

 

             “Ya, Cheon Sooyeon. Raise your head. Na gwenchana. I like living like this. You know why?”, Jongkook raise Jihyo’s chin so that she can look at him straight in the eyes.

 

             “Wae?”, Jihyo asks while putting her mong face with a big doe eyes looking Jongkook in the eyes.

 

             “Because I’m with you.”, Jongkook smiles behind his mask. “Though I want kids and getting married, I don’t want it too if you won’t. Because what? Because having you by my side is enough. I don’t need anything else. I wouldn’t want to gain other things if I lose you. I would rather die.”, Jongkook says sincerely. It moves Jihyo’s heart as she touches by Jongkook’s word.

 

             “Jinjja, oppa?”, Jihyo smiles with her teary eyes.

 

             “Eo.”, Jongkook nods with a smile. He instantly hugs Jihyo before she gets too emotional. “Aigoo, uri yeochin. Gwenchana. Gwenchana. Uljima. Na jinjja gwenchana.”, Jongkook hugs her and taps her back numerous time to calm her.

 

             “Gomawo, oppa.”, Jihyo hugs back.

 

             “Should we go now, Jihyo?”, Jongkook suggests.

 

             “Eodi? Are we going back?”, Jihyo pulls away from Jongkook hugs.

 

             “Ani. I want to bring you the Jinyang watchtower. The sunset view is nice there.”, Jongkook smiles.

 

             “Keurae.”, Jihyo smiles.

 

             They walk together to go to the Jinyang Watchtower. It takes several minutes to get there. Jinyang Watchtower is the observatory located near the wide-open-lake-side, anyone can enjoy a panoramic view of Jirisan Mountain. It is also popular among couple since it it connected to the Wishing Stairs. 

 

             Jongkook and Jihyo take the near end spots as usual to avoid the crowds. The Jinyang Watchtower suddenly fill with a lot of people in the evening as they are also want to witness the nice sunset view in the evening. 

 

             The evening sun cast long shadows on the ground. The slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky. The sky was ablaze with the fire of the setting sun. The night sky was aglow with bright city lights.

 

             “Yeppeo, oppa.”, Jihyo smiles as she looks at the sunset.

 

             “Eo. Just like you.”, Jongkook replies.

 

             “Ddo?”, Jihyo glares.

 

             “I will never get tired to compliment you.”, Jongkook chuckles.

 

             “The Jirisan is also yeppeo, oppa.”, Jihyo suddenly distracts her sight by looking at the Jirisan Mountain in front of them.

 

             “Eo. It reminds me of Jirisan drama.”, Jongkook utters.

 

             “Jirisan drama? There is a drama about Jirisan?”, Jihyo asks in puzzle while looking at Jongkook. An actress who asks a singer about drama, it’s a rare sight but it’s normal just for Jihyo as she is a cavewoman.

 

             “Eo. You don’t watch it?”, Jongkook asks back while getting closer to look at Jihyo.

 

             “Ani.”, Jihyo shakes her head. “New drama? Who’s acting?”, Jihyo asks.

 

             “Not so new. I think it’s last year’s drama. Starring Jun Jihyun and Ju Jihoon. Eo… mian… I don’t aware that.”, Jongkook stutters as he mentions Jihyo’s ex-boyfriend.

 

             “Mwoya? Why are you watching his drama, oppa?”, Jihyo turns away from Jongkook and continues looking at the sunset and Jirisan.

 

             “Mian. The drama is interesting. I’m not watching him.”, Jongkook gives excuses.

 

             “Why would you want to watch your girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend? Of course you want to watch Jun Jihyun right?”, Jihyo predicts.

 

             “Emmm, maybe?”, Jongkook chuckles. 

 

             “Eo, Jun Jihyun yeppeo.”, Jihyo says.

 

             “You are prettier, nae yeochin.”, Jongkook kisses Jihyo’s cheek that gives a surprise to Jihyo.

 

             “Ya, oppa michesseo!”, Jihyo shocks by Jongkook and lightly give him a hit on his chest while looking around.

 

             “Ya, you voice.”, Jongkook shouts in silence while chuckling.

 

             “Dorai aniya?”, Jihyo asks as her eyes opening widely looking at Jongkook in disbelief.

 

             “Ani. Neo dorai ya. Na aniya.”, Jongkook kisses Jihyo again though they are wearing mask.

 

             “Jinjja dorai ya!”, Jihyo shouts in silent too while hitting Jongkook.

 

             “Let’s go back. Na baegeuppa.”, Jongkook asks with his small puppy eyes.

 

             “What do you want to eat?”, Jihyo asks.

 

             “Neo.”, Jongkook smiles.

 

             “Jinjja dorai ya. Nae namchin micheosseo.”, Jihyo shakes her head.

Dolores approaches Shirley. “You must be Dolores.”, Shirley says as he notices that Dolores approaches him.

 

             Dolores smiles and he hands her the champagne. “Buon Natale. Thank you for sharing your husband with me.”.

 

             “And thank you for helping with the letters.”, Dolores smiles and hugs Shirley while whispering. Shirley surprised and laughs, makes Dolores smiles too.

 

CUT TO BLACK.

 

             “This is it.”, Jihyo smiles as she finishes watching the Green Book movie. It is American biographical comedy-drama film directed by Peter Farrely. The film is inspired by the true story of a 1962 tour of the Deep South by African-American pianist Don Shirley and Italian-American bouncer and later actor Frank ‘Tony Lip’ Vallelonga, who served as Shirley’s driver and bodyguard. 

 

             “Seongim-a”, Jihyo’s mother calls her as she walks straight to Jihyo who is lying down on the couch.

 

             “Ne, omma.”, Jihyo instantly sits up while looking at her mother. 

 

             “Can you buy me this dress? I don’t know how.”, Gwija shows a trendy grey coat to Jihyo on her phone.

 

             “Iegeo?”, Jihyo points at the grey coat that her mother wants.

 

             “Eo.”, Gwija nods.

 

             “Let me touch you, omma. So you can buy on your own later without my help.”, Jihyo offers. Her mother just nods as she looks at Jihyo pointing on her phone. “You click on the dress and you just press on this, ‘Buy Now’. But if you want to look for the other outfit, and decides to buy this later, you can press this one, omma, ‘Add to Cart’.”, Jihyo slowly explains to her mother.

 

             “How do I want to pay, Seongim-a?”, Gwija asks.

 

             “Yoegi. As you press on ‘Buy Now’, you just have to choose the payment method. After that, you press this one, omma. ‘Debit Card’. I will put my card number later and you can buy as many as you want.”, Jihyo says.

 

             “Just like that?”, Gwija asks again to make sure.

 

             “Ne, omma.”, Jihyo nods.

 

             “Keurae, I will try later.”, Gwija stands up to return to her bedroom. “You are not going anywhere, Seongim-a?”, Gwija turns as she asks her daughter. 

 

             “I will go to the gym later for a work out, omma. Wae, omma? You want something?”, Jihyo asks back.

 

             “Ani. Just asking. Jongkookie rang?”, Gwija asks again.

 

             “Eo.”, Jihyo nods.

 

             “You will be sleeping at his house?”, Gwija asks to Jihyo.

 

             “Eo. He is free tomorrow.”, Jihyo informs.

 

             “Keurae.”, Gwija instantly walks away. 

 

             As soon as Gwija goes to her room, Jihyo’s phone ringing. It’s from her boyfriend and immediately answer.

 

             “Cheon Sooyeon, eodiya?”.

 

             “Nae jibe, oppa. Are you going to the gym now?”.

 

             “Eo. I’m here.”.

 

             “You arrived already?!”, Jihyo asks in shock.

 

             “Eo.”, Jongkook chuckles.

 

             “Jamkan. I’m still not ready. Can you give me 5 minutes? Ani ani. 10 minutes?”, Jihyo asks in a rush.

 

             “Eo. Palli wa.”, Jongkook giggles.

 

             After about 10 minutes, Jihyo enters Jongkook’s car with her stuffs while wearing her usually black sport bra, covers with her black jacket. She also pairs herself with a short black legging and a black sport Nike shoes.

 

             “Why are you not informing me that you are on your way, oppa?”, Jihyo asks as soon as she enters the car. She is panting as if she’s back from a marathon.

 

             “Are you returning from marathon?”, Jongkook chuckles as he tucks Jihyo’s hair behind her ears because it touches Jihyo’s face slightly.

 

             “Eo.”, Jihyo plays along while making her annoy face.

 

             “What did you do just now?”, Jongkook asks as he starts to drive.

 

             “Watching movie.”, Jihyo answers.

 

             “Eo, that’s why.”, Jongkook predicts.           

 

             “Wae?”, Jihyo asks in puzzle.

 

             “I told you I will pick you up at 6:00 pm. You don’t read my text?”, Jongkook asks while looking forward.

 

             “Jinjja?”, Jihyo takes out her phone and read back their conversations earlier.

             “Eo, maja. Mianhae oppa.”, Jihyo apologizes as she realizes her mistakes.

 

             “Gwenchana. It’s not the first time.”, Jongkook chuckles.

 

             “Mwo?”, Jihyo giggles as she pinches Jongkook’s cheek.

 

             20-minute drive from Mapo and Gangnam is not that far anymore for Jongkook and Jihyo as they are almost every week going back and forth from Mapo to Gangnam and Gangnam to Mapo. Going on each other neighborhood almost like going to visit each other house as their week routine. 

 

             They arrive at the gym and starts to workout. Jihyo has been skipping a week for working out decides to join Jongkook’s working out on his gym. Well, her personal trainer will probably nag her as she has been skipping lately. 

 

             “What do you want to do today, Jihyo?”, Jongkook asks as he puts his and Jihyo’s stuff on the bench.

 

             “Dumbbell row, oppa.”, Jihyo informs. 

 

             “Keurae. Let’s go there.”, Jongkook points at the dumbbell sets.

 

             They instantly go to the dumbbell and Jongkook gives a set to Jihyo according to her weight. Jihyo quickly takes her position and getting ready while grabbing the dumbbell.

 

             Jihyo assume a standing position while holding a dumbbell in each hand with a neutral grip. She hinge forward until her torso is roughly parallel with the floor and then begin the movement by driving the elbows behind her body while retracting the shoulder blades.

 

             “Gwenchana?”, Jongkook asks.

 

             “Eo, oppa.”, Jihyo answers while gritted her teeth. 

 

             “Keep some tone through your abdominals Jihyo-ya, as you pull the dumbbells into your body to ensure you don’t arch excessively through your spine.”, Jongkook reminds as he fixes Jihyo’s position by fixing her back.

 

             “Eo.”, Jihyo nods. After that, she pulls the dumbbells toward her body until her elbows are at the midline and then slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position under control. 

 

             “Don’t lock your shoulder blade down and just move through the glenohumeral joint.”, Jongkook reminds. “That’s it. Jalhaesseo, Song Jihyo.”, Jongkook smiles with a satisfy nod.

 

             Jihyo puts down the dumbbells with a smile. “How many sets and reps for this one, oppa?”.

 

             “4 sets with 12 reps are good enough.”, Jongkook replies.

 

             “Arasseo.”, Jihyo nods.

 

             “I will be doing my work out there, Jihyo-ya. If you have anything to ask just call me.”, Jongkook says while pointing at the leg press machine.

 

             “Eo.”, Jihyo nods again.

 

             After about couple hours of working out, Jihyo taking a rest on the floor while watching Jongkook. She gobbles down her water bottle as she is thirsty. 

 

             “Are you done?”, Jongkook asks while panting. He is also done with the workout. 

 

             “Eo.”, Jihyo nods while passing a water bottle for Jongkook.

 

             “Gwenchana?”, Jongkook asks after drinking his water while wiping his sweats.

 

             “Gwenchana. Na baegeuppa, oppa.”, Jihyo informs.

 

             “That’s predictable from you, Jihyo.”, Jongkook chuckles. “What do you want to eat?”, Jongkook asks.

 

             “Today is probably not my cheat day as I working out earlier, so I guess a sandwich is good, oppa.”, Jihyo smiles.

 

             “Subway?”, Jongkook predicts.

 

             “Eo.”, Jihyo smiles again.

 

             “Keurae, kaja.”, Jongkook stands up immediately and reaches his hand for Jihyo. Jihyo gladly takes his hand and going to the Subway nearby. As usual, they take the farthest table to avoid people. 

 

“Jalmeoggeseubnida.”, Jihyo says and takes a bite of her bulgogi sandwich.

 

“Jalmeoggeseubnida.”, Jongkook takes his bite of chicken teriyaki sandwich.

 

             “Aigoo.”, Jongkook wipes Jihyo’s smeared lips with his thumb and it as usual. His habit.

 

             “Oppa.”, Jihyo sighs while shaking her head by Jongkook’s habit.

 

             “If you don’t like my habit, stop eating like a kid.”, Jongkook chuckles.

 

             “I’m not. The sandwich is too big. My mouth is small, oppa.”, Jihyo gives her lame excuses. Probably not wanting Jongkook call her as a kid.

 

             “Eo. Maja.”, Jongkook nods as he agrees to Jihyo. Just agreeing to it.

 

             “Oppa, I remember Kwangsoo said last week. Mind to explain?”, Jihyo suddenly remembers as she looks at Jongkook.

 

             “Mwo?”, Jongkook asks in puzzle while munching his food.

 

             “Eyyy. Kwangsoo said you like me before I am on Runningman. So, since Family Outing? Why you don’t tell me that?”, Jihyo asks while pouting .

 

             “Is that even important? The fact that I like you before and love you now is enough, right?”, Jongkook asks, probably wants to avoid the embarrass matters for him.

 

             “Eo. That’s mean you like me for almost a decade? Oppa micheosseo?”, Jihyo asks in disbelief. 

 

             “Why liking you for a decade is crazy?”, Jongkook frowns in puzzle.

 

             “Even I am dating someone else at that time?”, Jihyo glares as her voice getting smaller.

 

             “Na gwenchana. You don’t even know my feelings back then.”, Jongkook assures.

 

             “Why won’t you tell me?”, Jihyo pouts and putting her sandwich down.
