"I will do my best in my power to bring back the princess safe and sound, King Henry" my Dad told the King of Korea. 

 

Jisoo and I are sitting on the couch inside my Dad's office while listening to my Dad who's talking to Jennie's father. Kai and my Dad told him what truly happened to the princess after someone reported that the princess was kidnapped. Based on what I've seen and heard, alam na ngayon ng hari na nawawala ang mahal na prinsesa but what's worst is, he didn't believe when my father told him na hindi nakidnap kundi tumakas ang prinsesa. Ang sabi ng hari hindi daw yun magagawa sa kanya ng kanyang anak. Ang pinagtataka namin ngayon ay kung sinong may makating dila ang nagsabi sa hari na nakidnap ang prinsesa.

 

"I'm giving you one week to find my daughter or I will end the friendship and peace between our coutries and bring forth armies to find my heir" pagbabanta ng mahal na hari. 

 

My dad, the president, nodded his head. Ilang araw nang busy ang palasyo sa paghahanap sa prinsesa ngunit ang pinagtataka namin ay hanggang ngayon wala pa ring lead kung nasaan na siya. Ang kinakatakot ko ngayon ay kung anong maaaring mangyari sa bansa namin kapag hindi natagpuan si Jennie. Kita kong masyado nang stress si Dad sa pagpapatakbo sa bansa saka pa sumabay ang pagkawala niya. 

 

The King is now talking to Kai in their language at wala akong kaide-ideya kung ano nang pinaguusapan nila when I felt a hand tapping my shoulder. I looked at it and I saw Jisoo smiling weakly at me. I know she knew what's running on my head kaya naman she signaled me to stand up and followed her. Sumunod ako sa kanya until we ended up inside her room dito sa palasyo. 

 

"I have to confess something" panimulang sabi niya. 

 

With creased brows I managed to answer her. 

 

"What is it?" naguguluhang tanong ko sa kanya. 

 

Huminga siya ng malalim bago niya sinabi sa akin ang lahat. How she helped the princess to escape. She also told me that the princess is updating her and she's fine, but she refused to tell her whereabouts. My mouth went agape and my eyes widen at her sudden confession. Hindi ako makapaniwala sa ginawa niya. 

 

"You shouldn't have done that, Jisoo! That's too dangerous!" halos pasigaw kong sabi sa kanya. Hindi ko maintindihan kung anong pumasok sa isip niya at hinayaan niyang tumakas at umalis magisa ang prinsesa. 

 

"I know" mahinang sabi niya. 

 

Bakas sa mukha niya ang guilt kaya medyo naguilty na rin ako na nasigawan ko siya. 

 

"I'm sorry" sabi ko naman before I sat down beside her on the bed. 

 

She looked at me and again she gave me a weak smile.

 

"That's fine. I know how irresponsible that decision is but I will never ever regret helping her escape" 

 

Kinwento sakin lahat ni Jisoo yung mga pinagdaanan nila nung mga bata pa sila especially Princess Jennie and somehow nakarelate ako sa kanila. Being the daughter of the President is not that easy coz all eyes are on me and my family. Isang pagkakamali mo lang at mahuhusgahan na ang buo mong pagkatao. Yung feeling na nakakasakal na at gusto mo na lang takasan ang lahat pero hindi pwede coz at the end of the day babalik ka rin sa katotohanan at kailangan mo yung harapin. Akala ko noon masarap maging isang prinsesa pero hindi rin pala. Kung tutuusin mas maswerte pa pala ako kumpara kay Jennie. Now naiintindihan ko na kung bakit siya tumakas. 

 

"I'm sorry. I'm just worried of what might gonna happen to our country now that the King already knew that the princess was missing" mga salitang lumabas sa aking bibig matapos kong malaman ang buong istorya. 

 

"I understand. Don't worry, I'll convince Jennie to come back when she calls me" paninigurado ni Jisoo.

 

I hold her hand and nodded my head. 

 

 

"Who do you think it is?" tanong ko kay Jisoo.

 

"I really don't know Rosie. I was actually suspecting Kai but I am not really sure" 

 

"But what if it's him? What if he told the King that the princess was kidnapped so he could save his off the King's wrath?" 

 

"That's possible but I just hope it's not him coz I'm gonna kill him for sure" 

 

"What should we do now to help them, Jisoo? I am worried about my father and my country" 

 

Jisoo looked at me seriously and she pressed my hands. 

 

"I'm really sorry about this mess Rosie but I will do my best to convince Jennie to come back. For now, be by you father's side. I'm sure he needs all the support he could get"

 

I nodded my head. Saktong paglabas naman namin ng kwarto ni Jisoo ay nakasalubong namin si Kai. With furrowed brows, Jisoo confronted Kai in front of me. She even speaks English para maintindihan ko. 

 

"Tell me, are you the one who told the king that the princess was kidnapped?" seryosong tanong ni Jisoo. I can see how mad she is because her jaw was clenched habang binibitawan niya ang bawat salitang sinasabi niya kay Kai.

 

"And why would I do that? I'm not yet insane to put myself in trouble, Jisoo!" Kai defended. 

 

Jisoo stared at him intently before she said, 

 

"Just make sure you're telling the truth Kai coz I'll make sure to catch that liar who makes this situation worst"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"Lisa?" 

 

"Hmm?" 

"How do you say thank you in tagalog?" 

 

She looked at me and said, "Salamat"

 

I nodded my head. 

 

"Salamat, mahal ko" sabi ko then I intertwined my hand on hers. 

 

Bigla naman siyang napatingin sakin ng may malaking ngiti sa kanyang mga labi. 

 

"Ang ganda mo" dagdag ko pa na lalong nakapagpalaki ng mga mata niya.

 

Nakakatuwang panoorin yung mga reaksyon niya. Mukha siyang gulat na gulat sa sinabi ko. Kasabay pa nun yung unti unti pamumula ng kanyang mukha. Magsasalita na sana siya but I cut her off. 

 

"Kilig ka no?" sabi ko na may halong pangaasar sa tono ng pananalita ko. 

went ajar and I can't help but laugh at how red her face is now. She's red as tomato already. 

 

"Aba! Where did you learn that?" 

 

"Seulgi and Irene and the kids" tatawa tawang sagot ko sa kanya.

 

"Tell me, you're kilig no?" pangaasar ko ulit sa kanya. 

 

"No I'm not!" pikong sagot niya naman. 

 

"Yiiieeee, you're kilig eh" pangaasar ko parin kasabay pa ng pagsundot ko sa tagiliran niya. 

 

"Hindi nga!" she shouted. 

 

Nagulat ako sa biglang pagsigaw niya that's why I glared at her. 

 

"You know you don't have to shout" malungkot na sabi ko while pouting my lips sabay tayo para kunwaring iwan siya.

 

Hindi naman ako galit at alam ko rin namang hindi siya galit sakin at di niya sinasadyang masigawan ako. So ayun, bilang ganti, I stood up para magpanggap na iwan siya. I forced myself not to burst out laughing. I just want to see kung hahabulin niya ko or papanindigan niya yung pagkapikon niya. But knowing Lisa, alam kong di niya ko matitiis. Nakakailang hakbang na ko and seems like napikon talaga siya at walang balak na habulin ako. Well, nagbibiro lang naman ako. I didn't know na pikunin pala siya. Hmf! Pero kahit na ganun mahal ko pa rin siya. But after a few more steps and I already felt a hand wrapping around my waist. Of course, I cannot help but smile coz I won. Sabi ko na nga ba di niya ko matitiis and I'm right. Here she is now, backhugging me. 

 

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shout at you" sabi niya against my neck. 

 

I pulled out from the hug and I turned around and looked at her. Kita ko yung lungkot sa mga mata niya. Kala niya siguro talaga iiwan ko na siya. Medyo nakunsensya tuloy ako sa pangaasar sa kanya. But I cannot help it lalo na kapag nakikita ko yung reaksyon niya. 

 

I cupped her cheeks and I look straight into her brown orbs. 

 

"I'm sorry. I'm just teasing you, but what I've said is true. That you are maganda and you are my mahal" nakangiting sabi ko naman which made her smile big. Sinubukan niya pang pigilan but she failed and once again her cheeks turned crimson red again. 

 

Aigoo... My big baby, so cute!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"Why?" tanong ko kay Lisa. 

 

Nagtataka kasi ako dahil kanina pa siya nakangiti simula nang umupo kami dito sa dalampasigan para panoorin yung paglubog ng araw. 

 

She looked at me naman and answered, 

 

"Nothing. I just realized that it's been a while since I felt this happiness. I mean real happiness and it's all because of you, Jane" 

 

She smiled at me then she kissed my forehead. Hindi ko naman maiwasan na makunsensya sa tuwing tinitignan ko siya at sa tuwing nakikita ko kung gaano siya kasaya. I just wished ngumiti pa rin siya sakin ng ganito kapag nalaman niya na yung totoo tungkol sa pagkatao ko. Dahil sa sobrang bigat ng dinadala kong pagsisinungaling sa kanya hindi ko na namalayan na umiiyak na pala ko and she noticed it. 

 

"Hey, why are you crying?" she asked while cupping my cheeks and wiping the tears on my cheeks using her thumb. 

"Nothing" sagot ko naman while shaking my head. 

Di ko kayang tignan siya sa mata ng diretso that's why I just gave her a big hug. Yung yakap na sobrang higpit. Yung yakap na mararamdaman niya kung gaano ko siya kamahal. 

"I love you, Lisa. I love you" sabi ko in between my sobs habang nakayakap pa rin sa kanya. 

 

Lisa hugged me with the same intensity before she says, 

 

"I love you too, baby" 

 

Right after she said that, she broke the hug and kissed me. Yung halik na walang halong lust but pure love. Yung halik na tagos hanggang puso. Yung halik na kahit kelan di ko magagawang kalimutan. She wipe the tears in my eyes and smiled before me. 

 

"Okay, ganito na lang... I'll grant you one wish but only if you stop crying, is that okay?" she said while wiggling her eyes brows. 

 

I stared at her beautiful smiling face first before I nodded my head. 

 

"Okay, what's your wish?" tanong niya sakin. 

 

Napaisip ako. Ano nga bang gusto ko? Isa lang naman ang gusto ko and that is to be with her for the rest of my life. Lisa just staring at me while waiting for my wish. 

 

"Uhm... I just want you to promise me one thing" 

 

She looked at me and nodded before she mouthed me 'go on'

"Promise me you'll never give up on us no matter what happens between us, Lisa. That no matter how hard it is, we will fight for this love, okay?" I asked in the most pleading tone. 

 

Silenced. We both went silent until Lisa moved closer and hugged me tight. 

 

"I will fight for you no matter what happens, Jane. Just stay with me" she replied making me hugged her back.
