Monday morning.

I woke up and the first thing that came to my mind was the kiss. I smiled at the thought of it, it was really special but then, I realized that I was alone in my bed.

I sat up then saw a note from Tiffany on the nightstand, she noted "I will meet a friend at school, see you in class Taetae xoxo"

She has a friend here? I didn't know that, she never mentioned it. Well, that "xoxo" energized me. Hugs and kisses.

I prepared myself for school and saw a bunch of new clothes in my cabinet, there were new shoes too. I knew that it was Tiffany who did this and she knew my style.

After that I went to the campus.

I'm walking in the hallway when someone suddenly walked with me, I turned to her and saw a smiling Seolhyun.

"Hi! Good morning Taeyeon," she sweetly greeted.

"Hey, good morning Seolhyun," I smiled back at her.

While walking to our classroom, I see a lot of students are staring at me. It's weird because they're giving me attention. It makes me feel conscious to myself. Is there something wrong with me? What did I do? I don't want their attention, it's kinda uncomfortable.

"It's obvious that many students like your new style Taeyeon," Seolhyun said as she looked up and down to me checking me out. "You're really beautiful."

I bowed my head and blushed "Thank you." I muttered.

"You're welcome, I'm just appreciating your beauty because it's conspicuous," she winked at me.

Ehh? Seolhyun is being playful now huh?

"And I'm glad that you accepted the compliment. That's good," she added. "Just be confident and believe in yourself Taeyeon."

Believe in myself? Duh... Why should I? I have nothing to be confident about. I'm not beautiful. People call me weirdo or nerd and I think I am.

And since that I knew that Gran is a witch, I guess, we're really different from them.

"Taeyeon, be yourself and trust who you really are. Don't listen to others who define you because it's you who really know who you are," she firmly said.

We both stopped in front of our classroom door.

I stared at her intently trying to read her and she gazed back at me. I don't know, I think she wants to say something but she's reluctant about it.

She smiled "I remember this quote from my favorite writer, she said that No one knows me more than I know myself. Indeed, I agree because it's your life. You have the full control of it. And if you let other people define you, it becomes you. You believe them and you become what you think you are."

Seolhyun nervously giggled as she scratched the tip of her nose "Sorry for babbling," she murmured.

She has a point, this is my life. I didn't realize that until now. That's pathetic because all my life I believed in what people told me. I let them judged me.

"Thank you Seolhyun," I genuinely said as I held her arm. I smiled appreciating her concern.

"Um... Taeyeon?" Seolhyun asked as I saw her swallowed. She looked really nervous.

"Are you okay?" I asked a bit worried.

She nodded "I just... I just want to ask you... later... to have dinner?" She gabbled.

"Huh?"

Then something caught my attention, Tiffany is walking towards our direction with the smile on her face. She hasn't noticed us yet.

I frowned when I realized that she has company, it's Nick. He's a famous jock, the basketball team captain of the University.

Many girls are drooling over him because they say, he's perfect. Handsome, smart, sporty and rich. Complete package.

I wonder why Tiffany is with him. So they are friends? My heart clenched when I saw Tiffany's hand clung on his arm.

I stared at them and realized something. They look like a couple. Perfect couple.

Tiffany deserves a guy like him. I dejectedly sighed.

I was out of daydreaming when Seolhyun called me. I turned to her, she looked puzzled.

"Are you okay?" She asked as she put her hand on mine. I'm still holding her arm though.

"Uhh... yeah. Sorry. What are you saying?" I asked a bit awkward.

Seolhyun pressed her lips together "I'm asking if you want to go out with me later for dinner?" She fidgeted.

"Oh dinner..."

"I will tell something to you..." She said as she looked away from me.

I cleared my throat, it looks important "Okay. Dinner later."

Her face brightened "Really? Yes! Thank you!" She suddenly jumped on me and wrapped her arms around my neck. "Thank you!" She ecstatically squealed.

"Hey, good morning," I heard Tiffany greeted.

Seolhyun pulled away and we faced Tiffany.

"Good morning Fany," I glanced at Nick. He smiled to us.

"Hello," he casually greeted.

"Oh Nick... Seolhyun and Taeyeon, my friends," Tiffany introduced.

I smiled and slightly bowed to him. He did the same.

"Nice to meet you. Tiffany told me so much about you Taeyeon," he smirked.

I don't care. They look really close huh?

"And guys, this is Nick also a friend," Tiffany added as she put her hand on his shoulder. She's being clingy to him.

I don't like this feeling, I'm hurt and I feel something is suffocating me.

"I didn't know that you two are friends," Seolhyun said amused.

"We met Friday night then we became friends. It's weird because we clicked easily like that," Nick explained.

Tiffany just nodded in agreement.

"I will go in the classroom now," I excused myself.

"Yeah, me too. See you around Nick," Seolhyun waved goodbye.

"Oh no, I'll also go now. I just walked Tiffany to her class. But okay, see you around," Nick flashed his playboy smile.

"Thanks Nick, see you around," Tiffany said.

"Okay, bye Tiff."

Then I'm stunned on what Tiffany did next, she leaned forward to Nick and kissed him on cheek.

Nick grinned then winked at her. Seriously? They are flirting in front of us.

Very nice scene.

I turned and walked in to the classroom. My mood fell really down. Down to its limit. Damn.

I sat on my seat and rest my head on my desk.

"You look very close to Seolhyun huh?" I heard Tiffany said. I can tell the difference of her voice.

I looked up at her and saw how serious she was.

What's wrong with her? Is she mad or something?

I just stared at her blankly. I admit, I'm jealous of Nick. I'm nothing compared to him. Tiffany deserves a guy like him and not me.

"Taeyeon?" Tiffany's expression softened.

I just smiled a bit, she frowned.

The professor came in before she could say a word. Good thing. I didn't want to talk.

The day passed with just a snap, I tried my best to avoid Tiffany. I merely talked to her, I just gestured in response.

I know she can sense what I'm doing but she's just not confronting it.

I went to the dorm first without waiting for Tiffany, I have a dinner with Seolhyun so I need to change and prepare myself. She said she'll be here at 7 pm to pick me up so I need to hurry.

Now, I'm wearing simple white shirt tucked in a denim skirt and a pair of sneakers. I sat on my bed to put some light makeup.

I'm putting some makeup while I'm listening to a song on my earphones.

I'm done with my makeup and the song also ended. I heard someone clapped their hands. I didn't realize that I was also singing  along with the music.

I turned and saw Tiffany smiling at me "Wow. You have a very beautiful voice Tae. That's really amazing!"

I took the earphones off and put my makeup kit in the drawer.

"I bought some dinner for us!" Tiffany excitedly said.

"I'm sorry but I'm having a dinner with Seolhyun tonight," I sadly replied.

Tiffany saddened "Oh..."

"She said that she will tell me something."

"Something?"

I nodded.

"I think I know it," she mumbled.

"Huh?"

"Just go Taeyeon," she walked to the other bed then sat there.

"I'll be back immediately after the dinner," I smiled at her.

"Okay," Tiffany turned her back to me.

I feel bad and I feel something is wrong. I wish I didn't accept Seolhyun's invitation.

I sighed. I don't like this feeling, I feel somewhat guilty.

Geez.
