Haneul woke up to her alarm one morning. This time, she woke up early than her usual time she was used to when she stayed in the orphanage. "Well, today is my first day waking up as Kyungsoo's wife. Both of us don't feel like one, but I have to try my best to become a better wife," she thought in her mind. "It doesn't matter if Kyungsoo loves me or not. I'll just try to go on with my life like normal." 

After washing up, she went down to the kitchen to make breakfast. Unfortunately, she wasn't a good cook. She tried to cook sunny side up eggs for herself and Kyungsoo. But she burned the eggs. She buried her face, feeling guilty. However, she has no time to redo the meal as Kyungsoo is already in the dining hall. "Good morning," she greeted him nervously. "Oh, good morning, Haneul," Kyungsoo greeted back without looking at her as he sat down. Haneul brought the plate of burned eggs to him. Kyungsoo got a shock of his life. He has never seen eggs so burned before. "Um....Haneul, what is this?" he asked sternly. "Sunny side up eggs," replied the nervous Haneul.

"But these are all burned!" Kyungsoo complained. Haneul bowed down as an apology, "I'm so sorry, Kyungsoo. I tried to cook breakfast. But I'm not a good cook and I never cooked for myself before." Kyungsoo sighed and threw the burned eggs away. "Now I have nothing to eat," he grumbled. Haneul apologized again. "Next time, if you don't know how to cook, don't do it then!" Kyungsoo scolded her harshly. "Why are you angry with me? I'm just trying my best, okay?!" snapped Haneul. 

Kyungsoo looked at his watch. "Look, Haneul! I don't have time for all this! My manager is coming to pick me up soon!" he complained. "You know what? I think I'll just make a piece of toast myself and leave straightaway!" As quick as a flash, he put a piece of bread into the toaster and waits for it. Once the toast is done, he grabs it and ate it. He heard the car horn beeping. "That's my manager. I have to go now. Stay out of trouble today," he warned before he step out of the house.

Haneul, feeling hungry and dejected, grabs an apple from the fruit basket and ate it. Then, she heard a voice, "Good morning, you happy couple!" It was Mrs Do. Seungsoo was also with her. "Hmm? Where's my little brother?" he asked. "He just left for work," Haneul replied him in a sad tone. Mrs Do noticed her expression. "What's wrong, dear?" she asked. "I.....I failed...to make breakfast for Kyungsoo," sighed Haneul. "And he was not happy with my dish." There were tears in her eyes. Mrs Do comfort her with a hug. "Aww! It's okay, sweetie. First day as a married woman won't be easy. Especially when you are forced to be his wife. Don't worry. Eventually, he will grow to like you," she encourages her.  

"Thanks, madam," said Haneul, feeling much better. "Oh, there's no need to call me madam, my dear. I'm part of your family now. Call me mother," Mrs Do said with a smile. "I have to go for my shift now. See you later," said Haneul as she grab her bag to leave the house. "Have a great day," said Seungsoo.

The bus stop was far away from Kyungsoo's house than the one at Soojin's house. She reached her workplace quite late. Her boss was not happy about it. "You're late today, Ms Kim," he scolded. "Sorry, boss. The bus stop was far from where I'm stay
