Two months later....

Christmas is approaching in the city. It was also snowing heavily. The streets are fully decorated with decorations and trees everywhere. People were busy walking to different department stores, buying things they need to prepare and to give to their friends and families for the holiday season. Around the same time, Haneul quit her job from the restaurant. "I'm sure gonna miss you, Haneul," a waiter said to her. "Me too. But don't miss me too much," laughed Haneul. The boss decide to host a small celebration party in honor of her service. After lunch hour, when there are not many customers, all the employee gather together. They prepare simple dishes with soju bottles. In the middle of the eating and drinking, the boss stands up and raise his glass for a toast. "I'm sure you all know why I hold a small gathering today. It is to honor our dear employee, Kim Haneul. She has been working with us for two years. Today, this is her last day working with us. We want to wish her well in her studies. To Haneul!"

"To Haneul!" all the employees cheered and drank their soju. Haneul also drink hers and the celebration continues. "Good luck," some of the staff gave her wishes. Haneul thanked them one by one. After the celebration, she dressed back to her clothes and left. Her cellphone began to ring. "Hello?" she picked up the call. "Haneul, It's Mrs Kim here. We are planning to hold an early Christmas celebration here at the orphanage and I was wondering if you could buy some gifts for the orphans," Mrs Kim spoke through the line. "These poor kids have no families to go home and celebrate. The least we could do is to get them gifts for them." Haneul knows what it feels like to not have any family to celebrate with on festive holidays. She agrees to buy them.

Haneul explain to Soojin about what Mrs Kim told her earlier on the phone. "Yeah, I think they deserve to celebrate the holiday, even if they have no families," Soojin said through the line. "They shouldn't feel left out." "That's why tonight we go to different department stores to buy different toys and gifts for the orphans there," said Haneul. When she got home that evening after her second job, the girls went to Dongdaemun to start their shopping spree. As they were doing their shopping, Soojin suddenly blurted out, "Before I was adopted, I remember seeing other kids happily enjoying the snow and walking around town with their parents during the Christmas season."

"Well, after you were adopted, I bet you get to do all those things," Haneul said in a sad tone. "I had to spend Christmas alone in the orphanage." Soojin felt sorry for her friend. "I understand how you feel. Don't be sad. You have us and Kyungsoo now to celebrate the holiday with. Now, let's hurry and buy the things we want." Hane
