Tzuyu will always love us.

My love is like a star.

Mei woke up the next day, happy to find herself in her room tucked into a fluffy blanket. She knew that the events that happened to her would never fade from her head. But she also knew that this all showed her the people whom she could trust and who loved her. Her mom took some days off and the twins were allowed to stay home. Mei thanked Sana for this. She was fine, no injuries, but she just needed time to let go of her fear of stepping out of the safe place.

She flopped in front of the TV searching for something to distract her mind. Jin was stressing out and so he decided to still go to school. He needed his support in friends and maybe it was better for him. Sana was in the garden. The winter was coming to an end and she wanted to take care of her garden and calm her nerves too. She felt so lonely knowing that Tzuyu would leave today. It was unbearable to know that they didn’t work out the way they thought they would. So Sana needed a distraction too. Jeongyeon called her early in the morning to inform that they don’t need to go to court as the group already sentenced to 25 years for multiple acts of crime.

Mei watched as celebrities were shown on the screen – dancing, singing, doing their things. She wasn’t that interested in the particular idol, so just watching news of them was a kind of attraction. She reached for a remote controller to switch the channel before she heard a name and her head went up. She watched Tzuyu smiley face as a reporter was talking about the woman leaving to Taiwan for a long period of time. Mei jumped from the couch and ran out of the house to find her mother. Sana was still gushing over the bushes, looking tired. The girl nudged mother’s side, then pulled on the end of the jacket to attract the attention.

 “Mom, Tzuyu’s leaving?”

She asked, eyes scared and worried. Sana looked at her in surprise. She didn’t know where Mei found this information, but the emotions on her face amazed Sana more.

 “I guess so.”
“No! Why? You love each other.”

The girl screamed, jumping in frustration. Her face looked hurt. Sana was confused. She squatted near the girl, taking her hands and it a little. She didn’t know what her daughter wanted to hear and Sana was afraid to hurt her feeling even more after everything that happened. But she still had to explain.

“We thought it will be better to part our ways. You don’t want her to be around and…”
“No, mom. You shouldn’t let her.”

The girl cried. Sana never saw her crying since Mei went to school, except for yesterday. Her own heart broke. She didn’t know what to do anymore.

“Please, take her back. I’m scared. I want her back.”

  ***

“Come on. The plane will leave any second.” Mei screamed, pulling the woman.

They took a taxi, paying a lot to get here on time. Sana wasn’t sure what the time the plane leaving is. She only knew it is around lunch time. But now they were lost in the airport for a while already and when the woman finally showed them the way, both ran like crazy to be in time. Mei was worried more than anyone else. She was looking around in a panic, hurriedly reading any sign on the way.

She stormed into the hall, but the line was already closed and the plane was gone for a few minutes. Mei couldn’t believe it – she made so many to get here and was late for a few minutes. Tzuyu was gone and even if she knew that the woman would be back, she still was afraid to let her go.

  “No, I ruined everything again.”

The girl was crying, trembling in front of her and Sana didn’t know what to do. She caressed her face. The sight was heartbreaking and the fact that Tzuyu indeed flew back home was unbearable. They promise each other to end up on the good terms, but Sana still deleted her phone to be sure that she won’t break apart staring at the screen and desiring to call. She slowly squatted next to the crying girl, her eyes filling with tears as well.

“You did not ruin anything.” She said softly.
 “B-But Tzuyu’s gone. And you …”
“Darling, you want Tzuyu back?” She felt her eyes blurring.
“She’s kind, carrying. I want no one to be with you but her. I’m sorry.”

Sana hugged her daughter, hearing the sobs and feeling small arms on her back.

“That’s fine, honey. Tzuyu will be back in a few weeks.”
“But what if she won’t want us anymore.”
“Mei, she loves you, your brother as her own children and she loves me with all of her heart. She will always want us. She’ll never let us down.”

 ***

Nayeon yawn and made an attempt to stretch before Mrs. Velon stared at her and killed all the sleepiness in the woman’s body. The CEO sat right in the hall smoking with a scary cold face and waited for Sana tapping a finger on the cigarette. The blonde went to deliver the documents to up floor and now Momo was scared of what could happen. The three of them already knew the whole story about what happened a past week and they didn’t want more stress for their friend.

Sana walked out of the lift drowned in thoughts. Her children were eagerly waiting for any new information about Tzuyu, even opening the foreign newspapers websites and trying to find the right link in an unknown language. The websites were filled with pictures of the CEO and it seemed like employees were much happy for the return of the beloved boss. Though Sana was worried more about the woman that appeared everywhere with Tzuyu. She looked stunning and translating some comments Sana couldn’t help but be jealous even more. Jin had an opinion that it was just a friend, but Mei was angry as well, more on the unknown woman than on Tzuyu.

 “Minatozaki, my cabinet. Now!”

Sana jumped from the strict shout and met eyes with a frowning face. She quietly followed the older one and sat in the chair in front of her own CEO that didn’t look pleased.

“I’ve heard what happened to your family. And also about the fact that you and Tzuyu had to part. So why the hell are you still here?”

Sana glanced at the woman, not understanding her at all.

“Go home and have a rest. Don’t worry about anything. Your children need you now.”

 ***

Tzuyu opened her eyes, forgetting for a moment the information about herself and her surroundings. The sun hit her in the eyes and she quietly groaned, rubbing the swollen cheek that she slept on. The big windows of the office were tinted but still couldn’t help to prevent morning sun disturb her dreams. Feeling the dry pain in the throat she arose, noticing her wrinkled clothes and all the mess on the table. She stretched, going to the counter to pour some water. When she gulped some, she looked around. Jeongyeon was knocked on the couch with papers covering her face and shoes thrown to the side. Jackson snored on the other couch, hugging the huge file. The memories of the past few hours were completely lost, but she remembered that the last time she glanced at the clock it was already 5 a.m. and they had just a few papers to check.

 “You look terrible.”

The woman walked in passing through the room and flopping in Tzuyu’s chair to collect documents. Her light blonde hair tightened in the ponytail and the dress drawing attention to the figure. Tzuyu messed up her hair in order to look more presentable. She groaned starting the coffee machine and proceeding to help.

“Not funny, El. Who’s it going to be this time?”
“Hm, remember the guy from Hong Kong.”
“The one with three girlfriends?” Tzuyu grinned, the story recalling in her head.
“No, the one that took a dog to impress you.”

The work was very hectic and Chou family were upset that their daughter didn’t visit them once since the arrival. Tzuyu truly wanted to, but she walked into her cabinet being stuffed with documents and employees waiting for her. She held a meeting reassuring them that everything is fine and she just needed to organize things in Korea as well. The new goals were made and the questions were answered, so the office went back to the original and calm schedule. However, not for the CEO and heads of departments. The past week they had so many conferences and arranged so many meeting with partners that everyone were dying from all of it. Tzuyu herself slept at the office for three days and her back was losing it. She liked her father idea of having a bathroom with a shower but it only showed how hard things could be for a CEO here.

 “It’s the last one, Tzuyu.”
“Fine. We finished with papers tonight, so we can rest for a while.”

Tzuyu arranged her table and went to refresh herself before the meeting. She would usually forget about Sana and Korea as work gave her no time to have side thoughts, but when she was alone with herself, she couldn’t help but feel devastating. How much she desired in the airport to turn around, see Sana running for her, screaming her name. She knew that it must be stupid, but she wanted them to be happy together again. She let Chaeyoung monitor the situation with a gang that kidnapped Mei and as far as she knew they were already locked in prison. Tzuyu was also worried for the little girl. She looked very scared the last time and even though she had no injuries, Tzuyu was sure that she would need time to overcome the pain.

She went out of the shower, drying her hair and putting the clothes, delivered for her last night. As she went out her two friends were still sleeping not changing position even on inch.

“Come here. I’ll examine your wound.”
 “It’s good already.”
 “Come!”

She sighed and skipped closer to the woman that still occupied her chair. Her blue shirt was lifted up and the fingers run to the visible spot with rosy still healing scar.

“The scar will be little, but still visible.” She said, a bit upset.
“Elkie, that’s fine. I told you I made what I should.”
“Of course. And where are you now?”

Even though they were best friends, they still had arguments. Elkie never accepted Tzuyu’s partners. In her opinion, they were too simple, rude or selfish. The first time Tzuyu told her about Sana, she liked the conversation, but now as her friend came home brokenhearted and wounded, she wasn’t sure if the woman was right for someone like Tzuyu in the first place.

“She loved me and she wanted to fight our way together. I repeat I ended it because I knew that she would never do it herself.”
 “I know. Let’s go.”

Chapter 26: i really love this story. it's my first time loving both satzu as a character in their story. i can say that this satzu here is my favorite since they just act like a "real person", more matured, and know how to "normally" deal with their problem through the story. i think this is the most healthy satzu character that i ever read. thank you very much for the beautiful work author-nim
