It had been about 4 months since Seungwan sent in the appeal to let Mina have custody of Chaeyoung. A month after she sent it in, she received a letter that her appeal had been approved and that there would be further paperwork and discussions for the appeal and the handing over of custody of Chaeyoung to Mina. Little did the 4 of them know that the process of handing over custody could take from anywhere from a few months to a few years. But even if it would take a long time, Seungwan wasn't complaining since she could still spend time with her daughter.

In these 4 months, Seungwan, Youngjae, and Chaeyoung have spent a lot of time together and they have gotten significantly closer. Seungwan has lessened her working hours and spent more time with Chaeyoung and the same went with YoungJae. They would go out every weekend, and Seungwan would try her best to cook foe them every night and sleep with Chaeyoung every night. All because she wanted Chaeyoung to love her back. And it worked, by now, Chaeyoung loved Seungwan and Youngjae like she loved Mina. Though it was nice that the Sons have gotten closer, it has made them all the more reluctant to part ways now that they are close. 

Seungwan woke up one day and checked her mail. She then saw the letter that she had been dreading to receive

Mrs Son Seungwan.
You are ordered to appear in the Court of Family Affairs for the transfer of custody from the Son family, to Ms Myoui Mina on 23 April 2019. 

There was way more to the letter, but Seungwan didn't bother to read the rest and just chucked the letter aside and sat on the couch, tears welling in her eyes. The court date was on Chaeyoung's birthday, and it was also the date where she had to part ways with her daughter. Younjae walked into the room in that moment and saw her wife crying.

"It's soon isn't it?" Youngjae asked

"I-It's next week" Seungwan sobbed

"It's okay babe, it'll be okay. We can still see her" Youngjae said sitting down beside and hugging his wife

"I know, but what if Mina never lets us see her and she forgets about us" Seungwan sniffled

"She won't" That was all Youngjae could say

In the other room, Chaeyoung could hear the her mother crying, she didn;'t know why so she came out and asked

"What's wrong Mommy?" Chaeyoung asked

"You're leaving next week Chaeng" Seungwan said, pulling Chaeyoung into her lap

"Oh... well, don't be sad. You can visit me. Or... I can visit you" Chaeyoung said with a smile

Seeing her daugher smile made Seungwan smile too. She was right, she can always visit Chaeyoung, and Chaeyoung can always visit her. It was going to be okay. 

On the other side of the city. Mina had received the same letter and she was ecstatic. It had been 4 months since she saw Chaeyoung and it was killing her. Since then, Mina has been in school. Her improved mood from awaitng Chaeyoung's return and her personality change from Chaeyoungs influence on her had made her grades improve somehow. Making her title as 'Number 1 Student' even harder to overthrow. Now that she had realised that the date she would get Chaeyoung back was on her birthday, she immediately started planning what to do with Chaeyoung that day.

1 week has passed, and Mina with all her friends and the Sons were now in court. While the judge was reading out the conditions of the transfer of custody, Mina was secretly talking to Chaeyoung from across the room. Mina stopped talking when Jihyo elbowed Mina and made he pay attention. Mina and Seungwan and Youngjae signed the paper work and just like that, it was done. Son Chaeyoung was now Myoui Chaeyoung, and Seungwan and Youngjae were no longer parents.

Mina and Chaeyoung were now outside of court about to go for dinner when Sana tapped Mina on the shoulder and pointed to the Sons.

"Chaeyoungie, why don't you go to your parents for a while, I'll wait here"  Mina said

Chaeyoung just nodded and ran over to Seungwan and hugged her leg, starling Seungwan a little

"Tank you fow taking cawe of me Mommy and Daddy. I love you guys so~ much. Visit me lots okay?" Chaeyoung said, looking up with a smile

"Of course we will Chaeyoung. Mommy couldn't get you a burthday present, I'll give it to you next week when I come visit" Seungwan said, ruffling Chaeyoung's hair

"Seungwan, since it's Chaeyoung's birthday, you wanna come join us for dinner? I have to bring Chaeyoung to school now for a some surprise thing, but meet me at my house later at 6" Mina said, walking up

"It's okay, I wouldn't want to intrude" Seungwan said

"No, it's okay. You are still her real mother after all" Mina said

"Well.... okay" Seungwan said

"Great, see you at 6" Mina said

Mina then brought Chaeyoung to school. While there, she saw that all the parents were there. she asked one of the parents why they were still here and she simply said that today was parent appreciation day. A day in the school year where they show their appreciation to their parents in a catty tone. Mina i
