New Additions to the Family
The Kims"Found something?" Hanbin asks me.
I shake my head. "Not a single speck of that jerk."
We're now in the pool area outside the house. Since the living area has an access to the pool, we are assuming that it's where that psycho might've entered last night.
"Do you think it was a ghost?" I whisper.
"Yah." Hanbin throws me a dirty look. "Don't be absurd."
"Just saying it might be possible." I counter. "Ah! I'm tired!"
I lay down on the pool bench and act like i'm having a tan. Hanbin just shakes his head. I suddenly hear his phone ring. I stare at him as he picks it up. He scowls.
"What?" I ask, curious.
"Nothing." Hanbin is about to put his phone away but i snatch it from him. I start to read the message out loud.
"Yo, Hanbin! Big problem bro. We got kicked out from the studio we're currently renting. We can no longer use it for practice." I read aloud. I look back at Hanbin. "Practice? What practice?"
"Band practice." Hanbin answers nonchalantly.
My eyes widen. "You got a band? Cool!"
"Whatever."
"Then this message--" i pause. "Isn't it bad news then? Where will you practice now? It says here you got kicked out."
"Anywhere." Hanbin answers. "Those idiots might've used the money to buy their own booze last night. Don't worry about it though. We'll just go busking in the streets to earn back that money."
"That's not good." I insist. "Busking and practicing are two different things. How about inviting those friends of yours here at our house? This place has more than enough rooms to make a practice room for your band."
"Bobby, you must be forgetting something." Hanbin crosses his arms. "Our house had just been broken into. We can't actually trust anyone right now. Inviting strangers at the house won't help."
"Hmm~" i contemplate. "How about the boxcar we used to hangout when we were children?"
Hanbin's forehead creases.
"You know, the one behind our backyard." I start to reminisce. "It's a bit far from the main house but it's still within the family's property."
Hanbin begins to contemplate.
"Come on. You can use that place 'till you save up enough money for the rent." I playfully push Hanbin. "I'll even help you convince Jinwoo-hyung."
"What's in it for you?" Hanbin raises his left eyebrow.
I blink. "What do you mean?"
Hanbin sighs. "Come on, we all know you're not the type to help someone for free."
I gape.
"You're the type of person who likes to extort and take advantage of someone." Hanbin adds. "I sometimes pity Jisoo for having a twin like you."
"Yah!" I reach out and put him in a headlock. "I admit i like to torture and extort people but i wouldn't do that to family."
"And what do you call Jisoo's sufferings then?"
"It's my own way of showing i care." I reason. "Forget it. We're talking about your band here. So, what are you going to do now?"
"Fine. I'll talk to the guys first." Hanbin finally gives in. "Don't forget, you're going to help me with Jinwoo-hyung. We still need his permission first."
"Okay, o-kay!" I give him an 'ok' sign.
"Yah~"
We turn our gazes upward and see Jinwoo-hyung waving at us in one of the windows in the second floor.
"Speak of the devil." I wiggle my eyebrows towards Hanbin. "Let's get his permission now."
"Yah!" Hanbin is about to grab my neck but i hold out my hand when i notice something odd.
"Yah, Hanbin-ah." I nudge Hanbin by his arm. "Do you notice something weird?"
Hanbin's forehead creases. "What? Jinwoo-hyung?"
I shake my head. "No, not him. There!"
Hanbin's scowl deepens. "I don't get it."
"Jinwoo-hyung!" I call out
