“You're leaving me alone,” Yugyeom pouted.

“I'm going at my father's,” Jaeha answered with a sigh and couldn't help but put her hand on his lips to make his cute pout go away. He was twenty, not two.

“But I'll be alone here in Seoul while you'll be away...”

“I'm not leaving the country either, I'll be two-hour-away from Seoul.”

“But you won't be anywhere near me...”

He faked a sniffle and she rolled her eyes at his childish behavior. He was undeniably adorable looking like a sad puppy and with more conviction he would have ended up convincing her to stay, but Jaeha was ready and determined to spend a week with just her father and his boyfriend. Somehow, she felt like this week was going to be a test for the three of them; Jaeha was going to see if she would be able to accept Mark and to forgive her father from having abandoning her ten years ago, Jinyoung would be able to show her how sorry he was and how willing he was to redeem himself, and for Mark, this week would be the perfect test to see if he would be able to accept having his boyfriend's daughter under his roof for a whole week (though Jaeha sincerely had no doubt he would, she was the one who still had interrogations but deep inside she knew her presence wouldn't bother Mark at all).

Jaeha needed to go and not even her boyfriend was going to prevent her from doing so.

“Do you still love me?” he sighed sadly.

“Is that even a question, Kim Yugyeom? I'm lying in your bed and I'm almost right now, do you think I would be there if I didn't love you?”

“You sometimes sleep in Jungkook's bed...”

“But I'm not dating him! No way! And he is not sharing bed with me when I sleep at his place, he is just gentleman enough to lend me his bed while he sleeps on the sofa.”

“Should I go and sleep on the sofa? So that you'll stick with me...”

“Don't you even dare Yugyeom,” she snuggled closer to him, throwing her arm against his waist and she tangled her legs with his to make sure he wouldn't be able to move, “you stay here with me.”

She kissed the hot skin around his collarbone and she felt him rest his chin on top of her head. They remained silent for a while, just enjoying each other's warmth and love with little caressed and soft kisses; this was one of those moments when no words were needed. Jaeha loved those precious moments, she truly cherished them and every time it happened she found herself wishing she could spent the rest of her life locked into her boyfriend's embrace.

(But life wasn't all about young and blind love.)

“Although I don't want you to go, I hope you'll have a good week,” he spoke first.

“I'm sure I will.”

“Do you and your father have something planned already?”

“No, not yet. We'll talk about what to do once I'll be there.”

“Hum,” he nodded, “alright. You'll think about me, won't you?”

“Obviously I will.”

“Good.”

I swore she heard him mumbled “you'd better hold onto your promise” but wasn't completely sure he said this either, so she didn't answer. She closed her eyes and let herself drift to sleep, feeling more happy than ever, but Yugyeom spoke again.

“Aren't you worried?”

“About?” she whispered.

“About going to your father's? It's going to be just you, your father and his boyfriend. If something goes wrong you won't have a place to run to.”

“Well...” she shrugged off, “what could go wrong at the first place?”

“I don't know, maybe you becoming all temperamental, making a fuss about little meaningless details or you getting mad at either your dad or Mark Tuan just because they said something you didn't quite like-”

Jaeha frowned and pushed him away to look at him straight in the eyes, giving him the 'are you serious' look. He kissed her forehead and brought her back where she belonged: in his arms.

“You know I'm not saying that to be mean,” he explained, “but I know you a lot more than you think I do, I know what exactly annoys you and what is enough for you to get mad. Jungkook also knows considering he manages to get you angry with just his presence,” he chuckled lightly and she tsked, rolling her eyes. “You know I'm right though.”

She didn't answer, because indeed, he was right, but it hurt her pride to admit it so she remained silent.

“I'm worried for you...”

“Why would you?”

“I don't know... I'm just worried.”

“You know, even if my father hasn't take care of me for over ten years, he is still a dad, he knows how to take care of children and of grown-up adults. You do know that Yugyeom, don't you?”

“I'm not stupid!”

“Then why are you worrying? You really don't have to! It will be fine, I'll be gone for a week, I'm going to be with my father for seven days which has not happened for the past ten years and we're going to have a lot of fun together!”

He sighed and nodded, kissing her hair.

“You're right, everything is going to be alright. I trust you.”

“Let's sleep now, I don't want to be tired tomorrow.”

“Good night.”

“Yeah, good night.”

“Hey, Gyeom?”

“Hum?”

“I love you.”

He gently pulled her away to face her and kissed her on the lips.

“I know, I love you too.”
