Eun-ah sipped quietly on her coffee and watched the man in front of her. Auburn hair and pretty puppy eyes, Byun Baekhyun was quite dainty. He invited her for coffee on no pretext whatsoever, but from the minute she entered he had been observing her carefully. He took occasional sips of his macchiato but for the majority of the time, he quietly stared at her.
And finally, he spoke up.
“So is it two hours or one?” Baekhyun asked out of nowhere, startling her a little.
“Of what?” she asked, confused.
“Of sleep.” He spoke firmly.
Eun-ah sighed. She couldn’t win him over. Baekhyun was the last person she could trick.
“Around two, maybe a little more…”
Baekhyun nodded, “What’s troubling you?”
“Don’t do this Baekhyun. I’m a clinical psychologist.” She pouted at the question.
“You’re still under the fellowship program. And most importantly you’re still a kid. Graduating early doesn’t make you good at your job, love.”
Eun-ah sighed again. He was right, she was inexperienced, and her knowledge of her subject deficiently didn’t help her situation.
“So, Doctor Byun….” She began.
Sometimes she forgot he was a licensed neuropsychiatrist, mostly because he did not behave like one, with his silly wit and cheerful demeanor, he definitely didn’t look like a well-respected graduate of medical school.
