Part VI. (Chanyeol's Pov.)

I was surprised. He was surprised too. It was clearly written on his face.

He turned left and about to walk but i stopped him

"Baekhyun.."

He stopped but didn't turn to face me.

"I just checked if she still has fever."

I didn't say anything. Although he won't see it, i nodded.

"Don't think anything. Don't tell anyone."

He quickly walked straight as he said that. Of course for everyone's sake, i need to shut my mouth.

I didn't knocked and just entered Noona's room. She was sleeping and her fever is not that high.

"Noona.. It's complicated right? I wonder how are you still carrying all of this.."

Looking at Noona kind of made me feel hurt. She's very important to me. I was hurt when she suddenly left without even saying anything.

But i understood. I would do the same if it's me.

I checked her once again. I also put medicine and a glass of water on the side table.

"Sleep tight Noona. I hope you'll be okay once you woke up."

I left and went straight to our room. I was taken back when Chen suddenly appeared infront of me.

"Whoa! You scared me for a moment!"

He laughed.

"You going to check Noona?"

He nodded and about to put his jacket on.

"I just came back from her room to check her as well. She's doing good now."

"I see.."

He barely utter.

"If you're worried, just go and check her man."

I said knowing he won't be satisfied until he check her himself.

He didn't waste time. Seconds later, he's out of my sight.

"Urgh. This is crazy.. What should i do?"

Honestly i'm torn between them. They're both my friends. As much as i tried keeping myself out of their problems, i can't just watch and let them do silly things.

And for p's sake! It's Noona Ailee we're talking about too. I can't just let anyone hurt her. So it's making me crazy.

Minutes later, Still thinking what to do with those three foolish favorite persons, i fell asleep.

Luhan woke me up, it's our turn to cook for everyone.

"Hey Chan, How's Amy Noona?"

I stood up and put my sweater on.

"She's already fine since i checked her. Hopefully she's much better now."

Luhan just nodded, though it's visible on his face that he's worried.

We walked straight through the kitchen and saw everyone's on the table except us those three.

"Where's Chen?"

I asked Xuimin.

"Oh, He went to Ailee's room."

I nodded.

That guy, He's really worried about Noona. As far as i know, i didn't saw him came back as he went earlier too.

"Hey. What are we cooking for lunch?"

A bit surprised by Taeyeon's sudden appearance.

"I don't know. Any idea?"

I asked her back. Actually, i like Taeyeon. In a sisterly way tho. She's nice and funny. Can go along with us whatever we do.

That's why i kind of feel bad for her. Well it's not my business and can't literally do something about it too.

"Chanyeol?"

Cut off from my inner world by Taeyeon again.

"You're dozing off. I was asking, do you wanna go to the nearest convenient for ingredients."

"Oh, Okay sure."

We're on our way back to the resthouse when Taeyeon asked me something that caught me off guard.

"Does Beakhyun have someone he likes?"

I didn't get to answer her.

"I mean.. You know.. I like him for a quiet awhile now. So i was just wondering."

I automatically scratched my head and smiled awkwardly.

"You see.. I don't know how to answer that. Why not ask him?"

It's all i can say. I'm not in the position to tell her anything related to them.

"Oh. I wanted to, but i don't have any courage at all."

"You'll never know unless you ask him tho."

"Yeah. I know."

I didn't reply to that.

"Somehow i knew all along that he has somebody on his heart, but i just can't give up without trying. Hahaha. The funny fact is i don't know how to start."

I was just listening to her. It seems like she's not really talking to me.

"It might ended up like one sided at least i know that i tried. He's the first man i ever like this way."

Now i felt sorry for her. Those three are giving me stress already, now Taeyeon's opening up. Why me?

"Oh. Sorry i talked too much i guess. It's just you're close to him more than anybody."

As if reading what's on my mind.

"It's okay. Sometimes it's better to let it out."

Amy came to my mind as i said that. Being in love is more stressful than i thought.

"Let's hurry. Everyone's might be hungry now."

She said and walked faster. I just nodded and followed her.

Ah. Well i just hope things won't get more complicated as the days goes by.

It was past 7pm and i decided to check Noona.

I knocked three times before she finally opened up her door.

"Chan-Chan! Thought you forget about me!"

Guess she's alright now. I'm happy for that.

"Well, i was just waiting for my turn to check on you. Last but not the least. Aye?"

"Yeah right. Oh. I'm sorry for not joining you guys the whole day. Guess i missed another fun."

"You need to fully recovered so you won't miss another one."

I said and put thermometer on her armpit.

"Yah! I'm not a baby! I'm older than you. You don't need to do that."

I laughed as she said that. She was frowning but joined me afterwards.

"You treated me as a baby tho you're younger than me.. You're so like Bae- Hahaha."

She cut off herself and quickly avoided my gaze.

"See! No fever now!"

She said trying to change the topic.

"Noona.."

I called out. Her half smile faded.

"What do you think about Chen?"

She stared at me giving me a confuse look.

"What do you mean?"

"Denial."

"Chanyeol."

"You knew but don't want to believe it. Afraid of hurting him? Didn't you think it'll hurt him more that you can't even notice his feelings?"

She was surprised. I know i'm a bit pushy right now but i  just wanted to make everything more easy. I mean things will be easy if everyone just accept and move on right?

"I don't know what you're talking about."

She said stuttering. Well what i thought was right. She knew all along.

"You knew very well what i'm talking about Noona."

"I really don't know what you're talking about. Please can you leave me? I want to rest."

She said and sat on her bed not even looking at me.

"What about Baekhyun? Still going to hold on?"

I asked for the last time.

"Chanyeol.. Please.. I wanna rest."

I sighed and walked close to her.

"I'm sorry Noona. Rest now and please get well soon. Goodnight."

I kissed her head and walked out but stopped at the door.

"Noona.. Accepting and moving on is sometimes the best way to do."
