It Was Meant To Be
Without A Word"You're finally awake." she said as if she knew this sentence by heart, saying it thousand times a day.
She took off the inhalator off Skys face roughly, hurting her chaw. Sky shruged.
"Please breathe in and out heavily." She said.
Her chest moved up and down noticably.
"Do you feel any pain? Do you still feel dizzy?" She asked.
Sky shook her head slowly, as if she had no energy left.
"The vitamins will get your energy back. The doctor said we'll still keep you here until tomorrow morning."
Sky nodded shyly, trying to hide her face behind her hair.
Moon nodded thankfully towards the nurse. She left afterwards.
Sky was trying to hold her head up while sitting, barely being able to keep her eyes open, almost like she hasn't slept for 48 hours straight.
She was swallowing as if she was nauseous. She didn't want to throw up.
"Because I knew from the beginning." Moon suddenly said.
Sky looked directly into his eyes. What was he even saying. She didn't know him. But why did she feel so relieved seeing him?
She couldn't help but think of that night she went to the ocean, crying in despair. He was there. His aura was calming but she couldn't help and push him away.
She took the notebook, wanting to write things down, but suddenly she heared the door open again.
"SKY! SKY MY DEAR CHILD!" auntie mina said crying. She rushed towards her and hugged her strongly. Sky shruged, her body was in pain.
"Easy." James said and gently pushed auntie mina back. "She must be weak."
Sky started shivering. Did they know the circumstances? Sky looked at Moon in despair. He shook his head.
"They don't know." he whispered. Sky nodded thankfully.
"What happened?" James asked Moon as he sat next to him.
"She worked hard today. Before I went to get the grocery I thought I'd pick her up to find her fainting in the restaurant from the heat."
"Yes, today was a really hot day! My poor child!" Auntie Mina said.
Sky couldn't hide her tears as she was staring at Moon, making up this lie to protect her.
"They said she needs to stay the night." Moon said and looked back at her.
He was still holding her hand, the top of it with his thumb, gently, slowly.
She couldn't help but hold onto his hand tightly. Why did it feel so safe. It was so warm. Normally, she would avoid any touch from the opposite gender. Any move towards her
would scare her. But what was it with him, that eased the pain and made her feel like she was at home. She was safe.
She's been ually harassed half of her life. She couldn't talk about it. All she felt was hate towards any physical touch of another human, except her family.
All she felt was hate towards herself, because she couldn't speak up about it. Maybe it was her fault? Maybe she could have avoided it?
She heared all these voices around her. Auntie Mina, James, Aimee, uncle Junki. But the words were unclear. Her vision got blurry and clear. Blurry and clear.
She felt like puking.
"She needs to rest." She heared someone say.
"Sky do you hear me?"
"Sky, how do you feel?"
"Sky, are you okay?"
"Sky?"
"Sky?"
She felt her eyelids closing slowly. They were too heavy, she couldn't keep them open. As if tons of stones were pulling them down.
Her body was weak. The next moment, all she saw was darkness.
She saw herself sitting in the dark. Was that her? She was sitting inside of nowhere.
"Leave me alone." she said. Was that her own voice? It couldn't be. She was mute. That wasn't her. Was it her?
"I want to speak but no one can hear me. No one. No one is there to hear my voice."
She saw Shane coming out of the dark, st
